location, with wonderful view over the Douro Vally was spectacular. Generally pretty quiet, a few neighbour’s didn’t look after their dogs. The owner and staff were exceedingly helpful. the large garden was a treat

Our stay was amazing! The house was clean and comfortable, with a large garden, breathtaking views and a supermarket nearby.

We had the whole house with a terrace and swimming pool for us. It is very clean and beautiful. The area is nice and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself. We were also able to sit by the chimney in the evening. It was a really enjoyable stay and Maria was also very nice.

Nothing, everything was perfect

A haven that is private, peaceful and comfortable. All the amenities were superb and the garden was fabulous. A true home away from home.

We liked the garden and the location.

We arrived at 9 pm after 600km drive and Cláudia was very nice and helpfull, gave us a home made cake and drove us to a near restaurant so we wouldn't miss dinner. Everything was great until I wanted to have a shower and had NO HOT WATER, I texted the owner and she replied that it was on and that I had to keep the water running, but after 20 minutes it was clear that hot water wasn´t happening, so we had to go to bed without a shower after a very long day of driving, the next morning Cláudia came and went to buy some gas, I asked how could she forgot to check if there was hot water??? how can someone give you the keys of a house without checking the basics??? after this a new bottle of gas wasn't the problem, she went and bought some battery and still not working, by this time it was almost 12 pm and we lost all morning waiting for this, she asked a technician to come, which she should have done in the first place, at 14h the problem was resolved, we missed a morning and our lunch with friends, it was impossible to shower with cold water this is a very cold area. I tryed to call the owner to ask a refund for the first night but she never answered, I was surprised because she had been very polite and kind, I had to call Booking because somehow our reservation was now cancelled and booking was emailing us asking if we were there?! very weird...so our reservation was cancelled and our credit card was already charged and we were there, booking took notice of this situation and told us she was not refunding us for the first night because she said they tryed to fix the problem right away....in our long travelling experience this was a first.....I mean there never should have been the absence of hot water, they have no idea how to keep a costumer happy or in this case less upset, we were very disappointed because it was our only free day.
