This property is full of personal items, not your usual VRBO. If that’s not for you, take notice. We however LOVED this home. The proximity to the lake is amazing. We loved the kayaks & canoes and jumping off the dock was a full time activity for our kids. The weather was chilly our week and the hot tub was perfect. Finding a house that sleeps this many is a challenge and we were all comfortable. Tons of games in the closet, beach towels and anything you’d need in the kitchen. We’ll be back :)

We had a great time and created some amazing memories at such a beautiful home and location in Montana. The home and property were our home base for the week. I was joined by my wife and two children, my two brothers and their spouses and children and had plenty of room in the house. We flew into Calgary and drove down through East Glacier. We spent one day hiking in West Glacier, we spent another day in West Glacier on the Red Bus Tour. We rented a pontoom boat for a day and explored Flathead Lake. We visited several of the towns around Flathead Lake before departing to Radium Hot Springs and Banff in Canada before flying back home from Calgary. We had plenty of time to enjoy the charm of the house, refreshing in the coolness of the lake and warming up in the hottub in the evening. Great communication and I highly recommend a visit!

This is my idea of the perfect lake place. We felt like we were family friends of the owners! The place is filled with personal memories but we like that. The porch was amazing. We spent most of our time in the water and on the porch. The grandkids ran between the water, which was cold but as a life long Flathead Lake swimmer, I expected, and the hot tub. My cold water loving son and I spent hours swimming. Perfect!!!
Completely recommend for people who come for the old fashioned lake experience.

We loved the location of the house - it was spectacular. However, the house itself has some problems. It was not clean. Furniture and rugs were visibly dirty. The house is very cluttered. The cabinets in the kitchen have old food that looks like it has been there for years. The closets and drawers are all stuffed full so there is no way to unpack. We also saw mice in the upstairs bedroom and the kitchen. When we arrived, the cleaning staff was still there and not done yet. They said there were just a couple beds they still had to make and sheets were in the laundry. We agreed to make those last few beds ourselves. However, they clearly misrepresented how much was left because not a single bed was made. We had to start off our vacation by making every single bed in the house. All in all, we had a fun trip and truly loved Finley Point, but the house needs to be cleaned and updated. The owner was very very responsive.

Another perfect week at Cook’s Cove! Beautiful location and a cozy “Grandpa’s lake cabin” feel. We didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to go back again and again!

The neighborhood is charming and we loved our daily walks to see the dozens of resident deer. The cove is perfect for swimming and we loved spending every morning and evening on the porch. The home is well loved but is comfortable. This was our 2nd time staying at the property and we look forward to coming back. Michael is a great host and very responsive.

The location of the cabin is near perfect, and the outside of the home is excellent, some noise from construction on both sides of the property but otherwise it was a peaceful spot, other reviews are accurate of the inside of the home and it’s cabinets and closets being full and cluttered. Only issue we had was the lack of any smoke detectors….. , I would stay here again if some things were addressed. But overall we had a great time at this place.

We stayed for the 4th of July week and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable and obviously cared for with love. The yard and dock were in great condition and we enjoyed the hot tub (especially because the lake was a little chilly). We'd definitely come back, all my family members had a great time!

Beautiful and Relaxing Rental!
I stayed in this home with my friends and family for my 30th birthday celebration and it was amazing! We loved waking up everyday and watching the sunrise from the rocking chairs on the porch. We had a blast with the swing on the dock and even braved the chilly waters. The home was spacious and comfortable and the cove was so peaceful. We all enjoyed taking the canoe and paddleboat out and we all made great memories together! We even took a drive to visit Glacier National Park and Whitefish. We had a fantastic time! The cleanliness in the kitchen could be improved but overall I would rent this home again!!! :)

Smoky vacation!
Property was great for view and wildlife! Cabin needed a little work, the living room furniture really does need to be replaced. The chairs and sofa were really low to the ground(bad for knees), the two recliners are wore out, no cushiony support left. There was plenty of beds to go around and they were really comfortable. Could use a really deep cleaning. Clean out all the old food in the cupboards and we noticed quite a few carpenter ants(big ones)! We were stuck inside most of the time because of the smoke, so the comfort of the furniture really came into play!

Would definitely rent again!
The property is in a perfect location! The cove made for calm water around the dock almost the entire week. The house was as advertised in other reviews. Furniture and kitchen are quite dated, but serviceable. The bathrooms were clean. Michael was easy to reach and very accommodating. Everyone loved the swing on the dock and the calm cove to kayak in. Would love to come back again!

What a beautiful location on an amazing lake. We had everything we needed to enjoy a great week at the lake.

Awesome time relaxing and swimming. The deer are all over and even had a visit from the local bear. We want to make it a annual vacation.

Best views and water on the lake
This is a wonderful property set up with everything that you need. The swing on the deck was a big hit as was the peddle boat. The water in the cove stays nice and never had any problems with with the boat being docked up. Michael was great to deal with and answered any questions I had. Great spot for kids as there is a concrete ramp where they can walk down and play in the water. Even had a bear swim in the cove for a few minutes close to us. Would stay again. Thanks.

Relaxing Lake House
Awesome place, the hot tub is out of commission, but you don’t really miss it with everything else there is to do around.

Lake Front was Great
Lots of room, great lake frontage, nice porch! new flooring in cabin nice, fairly clean but could use a little extra attention.

Great location!
The location of this property is fantastic. The house is very dated and cluttered with family items but was fairly clean. There is a little bit of a funky smell but it could be just the age of everything in it. The kitchen had everything we needed including lots of items I hadn't seen since the 70s! We actually got a kick out of the rotary phone and some of the other “vintage” items. The king bed was extremely comfortable! We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken and Michael seemed surprised when I called him however I see the people that rented it before us also complained. We enjoyed the amazing views, the quiet location and the fire pit every night. It’s a very nice spot on the lake in a quiet cove. We enjoyed our time at Flathead!

Family Vacation
The location and view could not be beat! The porch, fire pit, deck and swing were enjoyed and used constantly. The house easily accommodated our large family. Even though the reviews stated the house was "dated" we were taken aback as to how "dated" it actually was. It was easy to tell that the house was/is a well loved and enjoyed family vacation home, but certainly could use updating and de cluttering. The closets and several of the drawers were full of clothes, etc requiring moving them to make room for your own clothes, etc. The cleanliness of the house was average at best, the hot tub did not work and both propane tanks were empty. Michael did let us know the hot tub was not working and provided a contact, but after several attempts and phone calls we finally gave up on getting it to work. We did have issues with water pressure, but as per instructions and a phone call to Michael, we found replacement filters after searching through cabinets in the garage and the issue was resolved. Michael was prompt in responding to our questions.
Overall, it was a great family vacation enjoyed by all....

Great location on Flathead Lake!
Great location on Flathead Lake on Finley Point. Great views from the deck & dock. Located in a private cove - it is a beautiful &
quiet setting. So much wildlife to see on the point! House is dated and could use some updates, but we are not fancy or picky people, so it worked for us. House was clean & the owner was always available to communicate if we needed to.

Stunning
This spot on the lake was just what this family needed. We went for walks and saw lots of wildlife, enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, and just gazing at that view!!
Will be back😁.

Great location, Very comfortable
We really enjoyed our stay here. The water was so calm and beautiful. Because the lake water was quite chilly this time of year, the hot tub was especially nice to have. There were so many deer during in the area, some of them just casually walking through the yard. We also had a black bear come through the yard which was exciting to see but also a bit unnerving. We just had to remember we were in a wild area. The grill was really nice to have - we cooked nearly every meal on it. One evening we took our boat all the way to Polson for dinner.

Perfect spot for our family get together
Enjoyed a wonderful week here with our kids and grand-kids, 16 in all. The furnishings are a little dated, but everything was very functional and comfortable. The location was perfect. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming in the very cold lake, rocking on the lakeside porch, hot-tubbing, reading, playing games, s'mores around the fire-pit, and most of all, each others company. We also visited the National Bison Range, went charter fishing and enjoyed hiking. From the porch we saw deer every day and also saw a bear and eagles. The swing at the end of the dock was a great hit. Owner was great to work with. Would love to come back. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Setting and actually a 4.75 star rating
I am late in writing this review, not because of the property but because I am somewhat of a procrastinator.
We stayed at this property Sept of 2016, after labor day.We knew it was older and dated because of some of the reviews. We liked the number of beds and baths. When we got there we were not disappointed with the setting, however the inside was a little more dated than we expected. We got on with exploring the place and settling in. The house is VERY cluttered with family items and therefore VERY dusty to dirty.
The shag carpet is old and dirty from years of family usage and also rentals. I'm not going to continue to beat the place up, it needs to be updated, un-cluttered, and the lighting needs to be improved. That being said you couldn't get a better place on the lake for the price. The deer are out front all the time and we enticed them with apples until the last morning when they were at the side slider looking for their apples. It is calm and serene sitting on the deck in the mornings looking out over the water having coffee. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and room for more. I visited with the owner after we got back and told him what our concerns were and he said that he realized it needed updating and they were planning on doing some during this past winter. I did suggest to him that he might check on his cleaning people as they didn't appear to be doing a good job. I asked him about the beds not being made and he stated that was an answer to complaints about the sheets not being clean. Just know when you get there the beds will not be made up and the sheets at the ends of the beds need to be put on. All in all we had a great 4 days, and it is a great place to relax, and spend time with family. Remember this is not only a rental but a family vacation home that has been in their family for years, and it shows with all the family memorabilia. The views are excellent. I would rent this property again, and also recommend it for anyone wanting a great place to relax and maybe pretend you are at Grammas' house for the week. I gave this place less than a 5 star because of the overall condition of the inside of the house.

Excellent Vacation Spot
The views from this property are spectacular and breath taking. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and having the local dear feed on the lawn only feet from us. At night we would gather around the large outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows and telling scary stories. The front wrap around covered porch is perfect for reading and relaxing with the majestic Mission Mountains for your view. We loved exploring the entire Finley Point and seeing the many cherry orchids. Gorgeous country. The house is large, it accommodated all of us and had three bathrooms which was a bonus... The managers thought of everything from fresh sheets and swim towels to a fully stocked Kitchen. We didn't have to bring anything but food and ourselves. We had a blast and plan on booking again next year.

Dream Location
Spectacular views and this is absolutely the best location on all of Flathead Lake. Cabin is a trip back to your grandparents summer home. Rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the bay provided us a great view of the kids swimming and kayaking in the secluded cove. The hot tub was perfect after swimming and the fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything! Our family vacation was the best ever and we would highly recommend this location!!!!! Great time :)

Prime location
As other reviews have said, this is definitely the best spot on the lake. I was excited to arrive and see the outdoor setting was even better than I'd expected. We got a good rate for the week after Labor Day which we appreciated. Neighbors were friendly and informative. I knew it was a retro, older furnished place but I didn't expect so much clutter and family memorabilia everywhere. There were only 3 empty shelves in the kitchen cupboard for our large group to store food. The microwave was filthy inside. The kitchen lighting overhead looked like it had never been cleaned. Spiders in bedding, couches. Bathrooms were clean but smelled like mildew. Upstairs shower is not easy to fit into if you are a tall person. Old shag carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in a long time. We got out the vacuum and it wouldnt even work. Several guys worked on it to unplug the miles of debris that plugged the hose. The last night we were there the water ran out. There was supposed to be a water filter left to replace old filter but there wasn't one so the water stopped. Lucky it was the last night.
I booked this rental and I definitely heard a lot of grumbling from family as they arrived and saw the conditions inside the house.
In summary this location is great so I gave it the stars based on that. It was wonderful to be with my family. We all agree that the time spent outdoors was the best. We wouldn't stay here again based on the indoor lack of cleanliness and water issues.

BEAUTIFUL SETTING
Cook's Cove is a lovely setting right on Flathead Lake. It is great for families with children who like to play in the water and has kayaks, a canoe and a paddle boat to use in the water. The hot tub is great after a swim in the cold water and the fire pit offers a place to gather at night. We had deer visiting all day long and loved the rocking chairs on the porch.
Our family of 13 including 5 little boys had a great time.

Retro cabin with stunning view!
View, view, view. How can you not be relaxed looking over a gorgeous lake and an awe inspiring view of the Rockies! The cabin has a great retro feel, and has everything you need for awesome meals and great times with family/friends! Nature surrounds you whether you want woods or water. The rainbow colored couch was so comfortable that you cannot resist a nap!

This house really does have a great spot on the lake. The views were stunning all day and although you had to wait until about 1 AM to see the night sky it was worth it. We had 14 adults piled in here and had a great time. House itself was retro and could use some updating esp the shag carpets and bathrooms but overall was well worth it. The lake was crystal clear and we saw lots of deer, eagle and osprey. A wonderful vacation and were here during the cherry festival. Great time.

This house is perfect! We stayed with 4 families, all with our own rooms. A huge porch with rocking chairs overlooks the majestic mountains- it is truly a scene right out of the movies. Hot tub and player piano are just a few bonus additions to this long-owned family cabin. We enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and sitting by the wood burning fireplace, telling stories and enjoying the company of each other. A true gem and we will be back!
