tv didn’t really work

The house and the garden are beautiful. The location is good but when you arrive at night time it’s hard to find the entrance. Glad that the host gave great explanation by text.

The host and the staff were talking really loud (yelling) early in the morning. That was really unpleasant.. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, no choice of anything beside the way of cooking the eggs, we were expecting something a bit better regarding the comments about the breakfast. Our bedroom was tiny, careful if you have big luggage!

Kevin is a great host and he runs a lovely B&B which is great value, considering breakfast is included and it's less than a 20 minute walk from Sandy Bay, Salamanca Place and the CBD. Will definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Hobart.

Kevin was a great host and made an exceptional breakfast and coffee. the bed had good linen and was very comfortable and the shower was great.

it could have been a bit cleaner. it was hard to find in the dark and there could have been some information in the rooms about the area - where to eat etc.

The room was excellent,the water hot,the cooked breakfast delicious. Kevin the owner is lovely. Couldn't ask for more. The Lowena Cafe & Accommodation is only a couple of blocks from the centre if Hobart. There is parking at the back,which is great.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, our room was already ready at 11am. Parking is available right in front of the house (we were there Sunday). For breakfast Kevin made a really tasty and powerful fresh portion of eggs and vegetables in the pan. Also other toast varieties have been possible. The coffee comes from a professional espresso machine.

It is a walk of 15 minutes to centre. In principle still fully okay, however in the evening we took the car :-)

Very comfortable room in a convenient location (about 20 minutes walk from the university and the centre of the city). Kevin was very friendly and helpful and cooked a delicious hot breakfast every morning.

A beautiful old Victorian home, with quaint gardens and the wonderful host Kevin. Made an amazing breakfast and barista coffee every day. So easy to communicate with and he was able to accommodate us adding an extra night on the end at last minute. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook meals or store items in the refrigerator. We stayed in the downstairs suite which is huge! Beds are very comfortable, excellent hot shower with great water pressure, block out blinds were perfect! Free parking on site at the time too. An easy 15 minute walk to Battery Point and other central places. 2 minute drive to Coles supermarket and bottleshop, pharmacy in walking distance. Everything you need is conveniently close for an easy stay. Would recommend Lowena to everyone!

More heating in the bathroom in colder months would make it even more comfortable. Lots of stairs and uneven ground so wouldn't recommend for people in wheelchairs or limited mobility.

Kevin who is the owner is a delight.He cooked us a lovely breakfast,with proper coffee. The bed was very comfy snd the shower hot. I'd recommend Lowena Cafe & accommodation to anyone.

It's a simple place but excellent value for money and an attentive manager. It even had parking and a fully cooked breakfast with proper coffee which was way more than I expected. A 15 minute walk from Salamanca.

Breakfast is good and starts early, which is a big bonus.

Needs some renovation

The host, Kevin greeted us every morning with a smile and prepared a great breakfast which was included in our stay. He was ready to offer any tips on places to go. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a generous size. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would stay again!
