Comfortable hotel with good facilities. Has a good gym and indoor lap pool. Breakfast has plenty of options and was nice. Rooms are spacious. We stay here 2 to 3 times a year and have done so for quite a few years now.
I think this hotel lacks in giving direction/training to staff and by not providing some things that I would think should be available considering the cost and type of hotel.
The mini bar is non existent, you need to phone reception to have them come and deliver items such as a packet of crisps or any mini bar drinks. Previously they said they cancelled this service due to Covid, but this excuse is past its use by date and they are clearly cost cutting on staff. I feel sorry for reception staff who could be constantly going up and down in lifts just to deliver basic items.
Wait staff in the restaurant for dinner and the bar area just don't seem to know how to look after customers. For our dinner in the restaurant, the food was very nice, the service was non existent. I probably wouldn't try having a meal other than breakfast again in the restaurant.

Great room, lovely view onto the golf course. Hot shower and a bath. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices and the staff were very attentive. 30 minute walk to the beach and Bell street, perfect location.

we came as a night away from our kids because it was my partners birthday .the spas were closed which I wasn’t aware of and was the one thing we wanted to do as a couple since we never get time for our selfs without our kids so that was disappointing .one of the reception staff was quite unhelpful in trying to get to the golf shop as tjere was a function on but we found our own way as she didn’t seem to care less tjat we didn’t want to walk through the function .was also not told bookings were essential for massages etc so we basically stayed in the room went to the pub for dinner had our breakfast and left .not sure if I will be bask again as it doesn’t seem like we rested which is what we both needed .
on your website it states about the spas but it doesn’t on booking.com which is where I booked so wasn’t to know

Great facilities, architecture and location
The main restaurant’s service was poor. The main waiter came across incredibly arrogant and our dessert never arrived.
The hotel is great, my main disappointment is that because the facilities are open to non hotels guests one has to book in advance when staying there. It would have been great to get a heads up on this. The spa trued very hard to accommodate us, I booked maybe 3 weeks before our stay. The golf course on the other hand not so much.
The grounds are beautiful and it’s a pity you aren’t allowed to ride around the golf cart just to see the grounds as only golfers are allowed on. For the price it would be great to be able to at least see the grounds.

swimming pool and spa close at 9:00pm, if they can extend to 10:00pm which will be perfect
