Inconsistent temperature in the shower.

Pessoas simpáticas, local ótimo, a 20 metros da praia, muito parecida com a casa antiga da minha bisavó, recomendável.

Simpatia, proximidade do mar, silêncio. Para o pequeno-almoço, sabendo da minha intolerância ao glúten e veganismo, criando opções adequadas. O quarto tinha janela, com muita luz a entrar, uma secretária que foi muito útil para poder trabalhar, ambiente calmo e simpático.

A cama era demasiado fofa para o meu gosto. Sendo uma zona calma, o isolamento sonoro do exterior é bastante fraco e não me permitiu descansar o que necessitaria. Em Portugal, nunca tinha estado num espaço com uso livre da cozinha que não tivesse azeite para tempero - é um detalhe, mas foi estranho...

Der Check in war sehr unkompliziert und kontaktlos. Das Haus an sich traumhaft und lädt zum längeren verbleiben definitiv ein. Es ist sauber die Küche und Aufenthaltsraum mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, um ein gutes Essen zu kochen. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine zum Wäsche waschen.

Milene, who takes care of the guest house each morning was very helpful and friendly. She showed me where everything was and it was marvellous to see my own fridge space and cupboard and a fresh clean welcoming complimentary coffee and tea station and bowl of fruit. The washing machine and powder was available and Milene cheerfully assisted me one morning. The 5 rooms have no problem sharing the 2 bathrooms and the sunny living areas were homely and welcoming. My room was a smallish twin but had plenty of hanging space and a great fold down desk. Fresh sea air through windows and doors and lovely scented sticks and candles gave the place a very cared for and welcome vibe. Great local restaurants around, easy walk to both train stations and only a block from the beach. The included breakfast of juice, toast and coffee was a nice addition in a beachside cafe/ bar a great 10 min morning walk away. The staff there were equally welcoming. Such a lovely stay at a reasonable price in an authentic Portugeuse seaside town.

I wasn't that keen on a gathering in the public space from 11.00 till 12.30 one night. Happy noises and part of Portugeuse culture I was told. All part of my experience and not a big deal in the scheme of things for me.

Location is really good. The staff is very friendly and so considerate! We felt really welcome. The whole guest house is very clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable. Check-in was easy & problem free even though we arrived in the middle of the night.

1. The description of the property on the website is a little misleading. It says: "The units are equipped with a dishwasher, oven, a coffee machine, a walk-in shower, a hair dryer and a wardrobe" which can easily be interpreted as all the rooms are en-suite + have a little kitchenette. But when you go to booking (I can only see it now) the rooms are described as "shared bathroom". The reality is that most rooms do not have a walk-in shower, it is indeed a shared bathroom on each floor. The kitchen is also shared and is located downstairs. 2. The rooms are quite small, and not equipped very well: there is very little space for luggage, there is not enough hangers, nowhere to dry towels, etc. 3. The breakfast is served at a seafront bar which is located on the beach, it is quite a walk. The bar opens at 10 am which didn't suit our schedule, so we missed breakfast on some days. The options are very limited: you can have a ham& cheese or a jam sandwich. Coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice are very good though.
