Breakfast was excellent and location is awesome! Our dinner was also great! Our hosts were so kind! It was a great visit.
The two things I can think of would be two fans in our room would be nice as it was a bit warm. Also some hooks to hang towels from 😊

We loved the location so much. It was gorgeous and we didn’t want to leave! The food was excellent and priced affordably. And most of all we loved the kind staff.
I think they should warn people about the different roads to get there. The one that google maps takes you(from Monteverde) is a very rough and STEEP dirt road that requires 4wheel drive. Luckily we had 4 wheel drive. It was well worth the adventure of getting there!! It felt like a it’s own paradise.

Peaceful and beautiful location. Owners are very kind. Food is very good.
Recommendation: have a (offroad) rental car, as you need to take expensive taxis otherwise.
We were missing an area to enjoy the sun with sun loungers.

Beautiful! Family-run intimate cabin rentals on gorgeous grounds, complete with farm-to-table restaurant and tilapia farm ponds. Highly recommend this serene space. The host were very friendly and helpful - offering info and tips for area sights and attractions around Monte Verde. Definitely a great place to visit with a family with fields and gardens to explore or play a game of soccer. The food --- amazing!! So so good. It's a bit off the beaten path - but adds to the peacefulness.
The main road to the rancho was under construction. The back road added a lot more time to get into Montezuma and was BRUTAL. We had an AWD SUV.... but even then a struggle. It added to the experience and story lol.... but wouldn't want to do that for too many days in a row. Again, this is totally out of their control and hopefully the main road construction will be complete soon. I still totally recommend supporting and experiencing this beautiful oasis the family has built (just make sure you have a 4x4 or SUV in the meantime ;) )

The host family could not have been nicer, and the room was super clean and comfortable for our family of four. Possibly the best was having Joseph as our nature guide in the cloud forest. His English is great, he is very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to be around.

Food: delicious, quantities were very generous & prices exceptionally good. The fresh Tapia was great as was the passion fruit cheesecake I chose for desert. The breakfast included in the room rate was great too. I chose the traditional Gallo Pinto with 2 scrambled eggs & 2 pieces of buttered toast and it was very good but as an added bonus it came with large plate of very fresh fruit. Breakfast will fill even those with huge appetites.
STAFF: This family run ranch makes their guests feel like part of their family. They go out if their way to make all their guests happy & take care of all their needs. Lelo’s daughter Beatrice is front & centre of the operation as she is fluent in both English & Spanish. She also has a great sense of humour.
Everything was great. I have no complaints about anything.

This is a really special place and worth the adventure to reach it. Beatrice and her family host you like you are long-lost relatives. Food is exceptional and you can really experience the cloud forest. A nature walk with Joseph is a must.
you might be woken up early by animals but that’s the countryside

This family run farm is really special. Mama is great cook, Natalia very professional and speaks English extremely well, Lelo is so hospitable and hard working. A very unique experience that everyone traveling to Costa Rica should have!!

Very nice place, very welcoming and friendly people running the place. Very clean and surrounded by beautiful nature. Excellent place, but to get there was a little nightmare on the narrow, bumpy, unpaved the roads with a sedan (rented and prepaid a 4x4 but did not get one... )

This was our best stay in Costa Rica. The family that run it are absolutely wonderful, kind and very welcoming. The cabins were built only 3 years ago and was very clean and comfortable to stay in, we had 2 double beds with full washroom and balcony overlooking the coffee plants. It's truely marvelous to see how eco friendly they built the Rancho with a majority of the food being farmed and grown on-site, it was definitely the best food we had during our trip to C.R. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous with fresh fruit and coffee brought out as you sit down, they even went out of their way to make fun pancakes for our little one. Thank you for a great and very memorable stay!!
There was very little negative we could find with the Rancho de Lelo. Only thing we could say is that it would be nice to have a small kettle/coffee machine in the room. Also nothing to do with the property itself but the roads in the area are not paved so be ready for a slow drive in if you're not used to the off-roading.
