Beautiful place, with lots of antique furniture and a lovely landscaped garden and pool. A very warm welcome from your host, Marcia, and generous breakfasts beautifully laid out each morning. It's right next to the old town and just 10 mins walk from the beach. Secure off-street parking and a very comfortable bed! A great place to stay, and you may find yourself wanting to spend more time in the peaceful garden than at the beach.

Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Pool was clean and great to for cooling down. Room was very spacious. The villa was very quiet and peaceful.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful old villa but with all modern facilities, quiet and very comfortable, spacious grounds with plenty of places to sit and swim, sea views, great breakfast included. Marcia is the best host and really cares about her guests.

The uniqueness of the decor, the welcome. The pool area was lovely. Everything was fantastic. Whilst I was there with friends I was there alone for some time and it also felt very safe and Marcia and family really made me feel welcome, despite my little knowledge of the Spanish language (sorry!)

We had a short break in Altafulla when we came for a friends wedding at Tamarit castle. This is a unique family run hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool. Fantastic sea view from the room. Hotel clean and comfortable, so much nicer than the bland, soulless chain hotels we have stayed in before. Breakfast was amazing - coffee and cake to die for. Lovely and peaceful. Great location. Not far to walk from the station, beach, cafes, restaurants all in easy walking distance (bit hilly but not a problem). The 'old town' is beautiful. Lots of historic, beautiful buildings to see. We would come back bug we have 2 teenagers we left at home and this is an adult only hotel.

Honestly nothing negative to mention

The breakfast was perfect. Everything you could ask for was available. The pool and all the small places where you could sit/lay around the pool and the terrace/yard was great. The room was spacious and really spotless.

This is a stately old mansion overlooking the Mediterranean Sea decorated with beautiful antiques. The gated property had private parking a pretty pool and lounge areas. We were treated to à homemade breakfast cooked to order. The host, Marcia was friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We were able to leave our car and walk to the beach and visit the old town. We were sorry we weren’t staying longer.

During our 5 night stay the personal attention given by Marcia was outstanding as were the treats in our room and the ample and varied breakfasts she provided. Two more positive points. As we took long walks daily, the availability of a spacious shower and plenty of hot water was welcomed. Finally we found the antique bed provided a comfortable nights sleep, another bonus.

The only real negative, that should not effect other visitors, was that our stay was intended to be relaxing but unfortunately for us builders were carrying out significant alterations to the outside facilities. On returning to our very nice room after time away each day we didn't feel able to enjoy the garden & pool seating areas so rested in our room. Hopefully, when the builders are finished there will be paved paths to the car parking area and the pedestrian access gate rather than dusty gravel. Our shoes, especially my wife's black suede ones, were repeatedly covered in dust. We understand that it is sometimes difficult to get your builder to finish such jobs pre-season but an apology, albeit genuine, doesn't change the fact that our quiet break ... wasn't very quiet.

100 years old villa, beautifully renewed, managed to keep the charm. It is a boutique hotel now, with only a few rooms. Amazing host, very warm, attentive and positive lady. Breakfast was outstanding, every morning I looked forward to it. Everything fresh, prepared just for you. Room and all the premises were spotlessly clean, and the rooms are being cleaned every day, and I mean REALLY cleaned. Location is amazing - in the center of the town, so restaurants and bars are just a few steps away, though you would not hear them at the hotel, it is peacefully quiet there. Secure parking as the whole place is gated. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful property in lovely well managed grounds. Marcia is a wonderful host, very kind and genuine when it comes to looking after her guests. A plentiful breakfast individually prepared and including delicious home made cakes. We could not manage everything at breakfast so Marcia packed our cakes for the journey which we were able to enjoy later. This is our second visit and did not disappoint.

The location, the hostess, the villa where all fantastic! the breakfast was fabulous. We also learned how to play French Billiards our first night.

Marcia, the owner was very gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and beautifully presented.

We missed having a TV set in the room or at least in a common area.

We chose the villa because we wanted walking distance from the train station, which it is. A lovely location on the edge of the old town close to more tradition bars and restaurants (there's a great bodega nearby) but only 15 mins down to the lovely beachfront at Altafulla The villa has a fabulous pool and provides an excellent breakfast. The larger bedroom with sea view is worth the extra cost.

We were very happy with our stay but some people might find the walk back from the beach a bit long (it's uphill)

It was a little hard to find, but once I called, they opened the gate so we could drive our car into their secured parking.

Everything! Marcia is an amazing host and the property is beautiful, straight out of the door to the charming old town and a ten minute walk to the beach. We loved our stay here - the pool is great and there is a peaceful outdoor area to relax, the house itself is wonderful and kind of unique, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Also secure parking on the property was a bonus. We highly recommend Marcia and this stay if you visit Altafulla
