Everything was exceptional. Perfect place to stay with a group of friends or family, we loved the chimney! rooms are comfortable and the kitchen/living room are very spacious for lunch or dinner together! amazing balcony and view too! to be fair, it’s even better than the pictures!

We really liked everything! What a shame it was too cold to use the pool! we will have to come back :)

The location of the house is perfect, in the heart of Barolo. The pool is big, clean and fabulous, not overlooked. Tommaso is delightful and very welcoming. The barbecue is a kettle barbecue of a good size. If you are booking for the location, this could not be better. Likewise if you intend to eat out most days. The view from the terrace is fabulous: to vineyards and hazelnut trees, and beyond towards Roddi. There is noise from the road but one is shielded by hazelnut trees. A good supermarket is 5 minutes' drive away.

This is not meant to sound like a list of complaints as the house was in a perfect location and the pool was amazing, but the kitchen is lacking in all useful utensils and kit! We added a few things to it, but if anyone intends to cook, they should bring almost everything they need: there was 1 wooden spoon and 1 serving spoon, picnic cutlery, one enormous bowl, no oven-proof dishes, etc. There's nowhere to relax outside: a table with 4 chairs (but could seat 6) is on the terrace, but no comfortable seating unless one is in the dark inside. The kitchen table seats 6 - just - and there are no kitchen work surfaces so the table was used for preparing meals. The shower is very small and the water veered from being cold to scalding, with about 20 seconds at a perfect temperature. And while there's plenty of parking, there's a very steep corner to go up - it was very difficult in a front-wheel drive car! Don't be put off by all of this - I booked the house because of its location and pool, and I would re-book it in a heart beat.
