Third time as good as the first. We will return next year

We wanted a getaway weekend in VT that was secluded and yet close to town and this was perfect! Just enough space, beautiful setting, fireplace, easy parking and close enough to dinners out and activities (tubing, shopping, hiking and even glass blowing!). Manchester was a quick drive and we enjoyed several delicious meals at a few different restaurants. Highly recommend the area and this home.

Relaxing away from it all so peaceful

It was charming, quiet and a lovely place to relax. We actually were next to the State Forest and were able to hike several times. Enjoyed the cabin feel with just enough amenities so you could cook meals and build a fire. Love the antique feel with the lodge. You could tell a lot of work went into making the quest feel comfortable and safe. A place to relax and live off the grid with the necessities to keep you in touch with the outside world. A stress free getaway. The host spelled everything out and it was easy to follow the instructions. A very rustic feel and look. We enjoyed this feel the most. Most enjoyable time away from a busy schedule. We love the place. Recommend to others who are looking for the same feel.

We absolutely loved our stay here. You feel very secluded but your only about 15 from Manchester with plenty of shopping and restaurants. There's even a little general store about five minutes away where you can pickup just about anything you need. The house was just perfect, very clean and very comfortable. Cozied up to the fireplace with a hot tea was bliss. Definitely hope to stay here again!

Beautiful property very clean well appointed stocked kitchen. Just got very smoky when using the fireplace. We will return.

Rustic cottage right off highway. Easy access to Manchester downtown. Reaonably equipped for indoor and outdoor cooking. Lovely fireplace enhances the coziness and warm feelings on chilly days and nights. Nice place to stay.

We had a short 2 day stay but can’t put in words how peaceful we felt. Cottage beautiful.. you can feel the love. It rained both days but would like to return to hike, etc

We had a great time staying at the Honeymoon Cottage. The place was clean, comfortable, and steps to great hiking.

The property is lovely, and very well decorated. We came in Oct and had a brutal 85 to 90 degree days. There is no air conditioning and no shades so it was like a sauna in the kitchen and living area. We were unable to cook and have meals their has we had planned. There was no escaping the sun and heat. Not quite what we had envisioned for our anniversary.

Really enjoyed this cabin in the woods. Barn boards and beams throughout, fieldstone fireplaces, and custom handmade furniture and cabinetry gives it a comfy rustic feel. We found it to be clean and well kept. Long private driveway with a path at the end that connects to the Long Trail if you ducking under a few branches. We wish we had more than just 2 nights to spend here.

This was the perfect spot for me and my husband’s honeymoon. The property is well maintained, amenities are wonderful, and minutes away from Manchester! Just everything we could possibly want from a cottage in the woods. Highly recommend, just cozy and romantic!

This cabin is exactly what we needed - comfortable and cozy, bucolic and isolated, inviting and homey. We loved our stay and have already begun thinking about when we can return!

My wife, pup, and I enjoyed a weekend getaway at this cute cottage. We loved the furniture, the birds, the fireplace and tub. We would come back again!

I agree with what I’ve read in some of the other reviews, this property was even better than we had imagined. Artfully decorated, clean, cozy, and surrounded by natural beauty, the cottage brought us instant calm and relaxation. We made great use of the well-stocked kitchen, read and played games in the comfort of the living room, soaked in the tub, and slept peacefully in the charming bedroom. Even when it rained we were happy because we had the magic of the cottage to enjoy. We loved the privacy. We bird watched on the deck and walks to the pond were a treat. The location was a wonderful homebase for trips to Manchester, Shaftsbury, Dorset, Bennington and Bridgewater. We hiked parts of the Longtrail, swam at Hapsgood Pond, fly fished on the Walloomsac, ate at some great restaurants in Manchester, took advantage of Bromley Market up the road, and managed to get some shopping and genealogical research in as well. Communication with the property manager was very good, he was helpful throughout. It was an amazing week in Vermont, very much enhanced by our stay at the Honeymoon Cottage. We hope to be back, would love to see it in the fall, winter and spring!

This cottage had our attention from the start while we were searching for a summer getaway. We're plant people, and it was so nice to connect with nature all around us, both inside and outside the cottage. The recent flooding throughout Vermont occurred during our stay, and while the roads were temporarily closed around us, the property drainage was excellent-it did it's job and we felt supported and safe. We would stay again, perhaps in another season to enjoy the warmth of the fireplaces, especially after a cold day on the mountain.

It was perfect! Off the beaten path but easily found. The surrounding area is beautiful which offers plenty to do.

The Battting brook to fall asleep to was amazing . Private . It was great to be able to unwind relax and just be. One draw back . I wish the Adirondack chair that were shown in the picture were the to injoy the lovely deck. All and all amazing stay ..

Charming little cottage for a relaxing weekend!!

The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sipping hot chocolate while the pup slept by the fire. The appliances in the kitchen made cooking easy. My only recommendation would be to bring your own tall glasses/cups as there were not any to be found for evening/adult beverages (unless I just never found the stash of glasses anywhere, which is entirely possible). Also, the wifi is quite weak, but I hope you're not going to this romantic cabin to sit on the internet, especially with so much to do nearby, including amazing hikes right from the doorstep and great adventures in nearby Manchester. We would definitely visit again.

The cabin was cute and had decent amenities ie: Dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV but living room furniture not great for relaxing, fireplace "smoked" and internet was very "patchy". Bathroom with big soaker tub was lovely.

An awesome little get away spot, the cabin is in a perfect location if you are looking to go to Stratton, Bromley, or Magic Mtn. Extremely clean, cozy and private. The fire places make it even easier to relax. Looking forward to seeing this beautiful piece of property in the summer.

We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage the first weekend in January and since the elevation is about 1800' everything was covered with snow! It was beautiful! We walked on the Green Mountain National Forest trails next to the cottage with our chocolate lab and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet peacefulness. The cottage was warm and cozy and we had a fire each night. The kitchen had all we needed and the bed was comfortable (on the firm side!). The living room could use updated seating for relaxation, but we enjoyed reading our books by the fire. The stairs are pretty steep - we needed to carry our puppy up and down, just to keep in mind. The location is perfect and private and the view of the pond is lovely!

This was everything we could have wanted for our Christmas time honeymoon! Beautiful, snow, romance, clean, and so much more!!!!! We even put up some decorations to top our stay off! Definitely a gem! ❤️🎄💚❄️

My husband and I (and our dog too) had a wonderful time at the Honeymoon Cottage. We spent a snowy Christmas Eve weekend here and it was exactly what we needed and more! It has everything you need - just bring your comfy socks and sit back and enjoy the beautiful fireplace. We will definitely return!

perfect romantic getaway

Everything we needed! Very clean, quite and location was great!

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Quaint and rustic with enough amenities to feel like we weren’t missing out on anything. The instructions were detailed and everything that needed a label or note had one.

This is a beautiful property which combines rustic charm with top notch amenities. The fireplace is fantastic. We spent hours reading, napping and just enjoying the warmth and comfort. The kitchen is stocked with everything one would need. The bedroom is delightful with a comfortable bed and a view of the pond. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful long weekend and we could not have been happier with the Honeymoon Cottage even if it was our 24th "Honeymoon". We will be back!

This stay was a storybook in itself. I can’t wait to return. We truly felt like we had escaped to another world. The work and craftsmanship that went into this dwelling is remarkable. Wonderful escape. If I could just make a suggestion -a more comfortable chair (along with that beauty that is there) in the living room space-it wasn’t comfortable to sit and found ourselves going down to the bedroom to relax. Thank you so much!

The cabin had everything we needed. It was very clean. Nice to be able to bring dog and great location. We weren’t there long enough to fully explore property. Maybe next time!
