Das Cottage im Ranch-Stil verfügt über ein großes Zimmer mit einem Wohnzimmer, einem Essbereich und einer voll ausgestatteten Küche mit Küchengeräten aus Edelstahl (der Ofen ist nicht in voller Größe) sowie einen herrlichen Blick auf den See. Glasschiebetüren aus der Küche führen auf ein Deck mit Seeblick, Tisch und Stühlen und einem Gasgrill. Das Wohnzimmer hat einen Gasherd.
Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, einen 55-Zoll-Fernseher und ein eigenes Hauptbad mit einer großen Keramikfliesendusche. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat auch ein französisches Bett, einen Fernseher, einen großen Kleiderschrank und ein Vollbad auf dem Flur. Das dritte Schlafzimmer hat zwei Etagenbetten und einen großen Schrank. Das Haus ist mit einer großen Waschmaschine und Trockner ausgestattet.
Eine große abgeschirmte Veranda an der Seeseite des Hauses bietet 180 Grad Seeblick.
Es gibt zwei Docks, einen für Boote und Angeln und einen Schwimmer zum Schwimmen und Starten von Kanus / Kajaks. Wir liefern ein Kanu, Paddel und Schwimmwesten (bitte auf eigenes Risiko benutzen). Bitte vermeiden Sie es, das Kanu über die Felsen zu ziehen, sondern starten Sie es vom Dock aus, damit der Boden nicht beschädigt wird. Es gibt eine Feuerstelle / Feuerstelle (wir liefern kein Holz, aber Bündel können auf dem nahe gelegenen Markt des Weißen Hauses gekauft werden).
Das Schwimmen vor unserer Seepromenade ist ideal, da klares No-Wake-Wasser und minimale Wellenstörungen vorhanden sind, was Spaß für jüngere Kinder und Erwachsene macht.

Property was in a good location and in good condition. As with all VRBOs it was obviously well used. Dock was awesome for our 23 ft boat. Ramp at Virginia Dare is a bit neglected but close by.Hosts were very responsive in terms of providing information, although we had no other issues. Property and area also dog friendly for walking. Deer in the yard every evening and hanging on the dock was very cool. Awesome wind chimes in the back yard. We arrived at the conclusion of a tropical storm which left the front yard and gravel driveway spongy requiring fwd to get out, but under normal conditions there should be no issues. Adequate room for three couples. Washer and dryer a bit grungy but they worked. Screened in porch was really nice. A/C and heat were good. Would recommend this property. Had a good time.

My second visit to this cozy cove cottage and loved it again. My Portuguese water dog and his buddy were in dog heaven. Kayaking was fun and the peacefulness in the cove was relaxing. House is well equipped with everything you need and comfortable. Screened in porch is the best place to be! Hope to return!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We spent a lot of time at the dock. There is plenty of shade and sun if you want it. Location is in a fairly private cove, so you can swim without worrying about boat traffic. Kitchen is very well stocked which we appreciated because we cooked most of our meals while there. We enjoyed the new gas grill. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Food Lion. The beds are comfy. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and we took long walks every morning without having to worry about traffic. Deer in the yard every night- and sometimes in the daytime.

Large porch that overlooks quiet cove. Ice cream man came everyday to our dock around 8:30 pm. Beautiful new dock that provided sun and shade

Overall the house, especially the screened in porch was wonderful. We really enjoyed the huge dock and the house is close to shopping and restaurants.
I had to wipe all furniture off on the porch when we arrived.
The yard needed cleaned up also.

My husband, myself and our pooch enjoyed several days here. It was perfect for us...tucked away in a quiet cove, plenty of yard for our dog, a wonderful screened in porch, a beautiful dock where you could choose to sit in the sun or the shade. (Bonus points!) The house was comfy and had everything we needed. The master bed was super comfy. And it was an easy drive to multiple restaurants. The owners were very responsive when I had questions about the area. We loved it and hope to return.

This was a nice quiet neighborhood. The slope to the lake was very easy for our tri pawd family pet. Very relaxing.

What a great place! I can’t say enough about this little place. The dock and yard get sun both in the morning and in the evening. Relatively flat yard so no going up and down a million steps or a pathway like some of the homes at the lake. It was off season so I can’t speak to boat traffic during summer months but those that were out and about during my stay honored the no wake zone.
The dock has a shaded area as well as floating doc and plenty of room to sit and hang your legs off
With washing machine and driver. Coffee maker and full sized fridge , Gas grill and dish washer. Everything you could ask for is available - The hosts were easy to contact and super accommodating when my dates changed. Everything was exactly as described. I definitely recommend

Warm and cozy cottage with a huge yard with an easily accessible dock, which is fantastic. The screened porch is perfect for just sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Communication with the owners was fantastic, which I appreciated immensely. We found everything to be as in the listing. No complaints, loved it.

Very quiet and peaceful area. Beautiful lake but very cold. No swimming for me. I had a very relaxing time. Kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

We loved this rental! Many homes on SML have a steep hill to navigate to get to the boat dock but this one was very close and manageable. Our fishermen loved it! Nice floating dock, power at the dock. Lots of nicely placed chairs on dock and backyard including fire pit. The screened porch was wonderful! We rented during cool weather but in the summer it would be very shady. The house was well laid out - nicely equipped kitchen, gas grill on the deck worked fine. Master bath very nice tiled shower! Would suggest instructions for tv remotes (we figured it out) and toaster oven. Heat and ac worked fine and hot water was great! Location near Va Dare Marina ideal and on a quiet street. Bonus - u don’t have to drop off your trash on Raeford Church Rd there’s a container at end of driveway! Would def rent again

Stayed here with my parents, husband and our pup! Loved the location. Private and relatively quiet. Dead end street which was great for walks and runs. House was cute and cozy and stocked with everything we needed! Spent tons of time hanging on the screened-in porch overlooking the lake. Dock was AMAZING for sunbathing, reading a book and swimming! Overall great experience, would definitely return!

The cottage is situated on a quiet street set back from the road. It was exactly as advertised: well stocked kitchen, great back porch, beautiful spot in the cove with deep water. Thank you for making this a pet friendly property. Our dogs enjoyed the lake too! We really enjoyed our stay.

Location of the house was beautiful and so peaceful. Enjoyed sitting on the screened porch and the spacious dock. With four adults we found the second bathroom a little on the small side. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils for cooking. We enjoyed our stay.

This is our second stay at this property! It was like coming home!! We love the gentle slope to the lake, the floating dock, the clean lake water, the quiet cove, the kayak, the covered dock space, the ducks, the screened in porch, the UPGRADES, the fully stocked house, the awesome restaurants, and evertyhing about SML! We hope to return next summer.

Cozy SML cottage
We really enjoyed this darling house. The dock and screened porch are fantastic and the house is cozy. Our only complaint would be that the bath towels from the cleaning service wreaked of cigarette smoke, so bad so that we had to wash them before using them.

Very nice cottage setup on a calm inlet. Great swimming off the dock. Screened porch with ceiling fans and view of the lake was our favorite place. AC kept us cool, and the house setup worked very well. Great Internet and TV. Easy to get down to the dock (thoughtful carpet treads on the steps kept us safe). Gas marina and State Park nearby. Our two smaller dogs loved it too! Saw a wild mink and deer in the yard :).

Fabulous Stay!
Property is as described! Very clean, well stocked, and great beds! Spacious dock for your boat. Bumpers, cleats and electric at the dock to charge your trolling motors. Easy to book, great communication with the owners. Close proximity to the state park and boat ramps. Will definetly look to stay here again!

I’d return in a heartbeat!
After some family heartaches My elderly mother and I took a 3 week vacation into paradise. Just what was needed. The sounds and sights of being unplugged (without having to be unplugged): wildlife, beautiful wind chimes (sounded like singing bowls), calm waters and a constant breeze that allows any stresses or concerns you may have to just melt away. The inside of the house was perfect for the 2 of us (and our pets) and I would say a small family would be totally comfortable - just as described.
I still had to work remotely while staying here, that being said, the modern necessities are working properly and without fail.
We were very sad to leave but we left as if we were leaving a friend’s house… it isn’t goodbye but I’ll see you later.

Fabulous home! Well stocked, super clean and the linens were plush! The gentle slope to the dock was ideal for our elderly family members! The dock is amazing: perfect for fishing, morning coffee, and no doubt ideal for swimming when warmer. The screened in porch was perfect for board games, evening chats and creating lasting memories. Communication with Owners/Managers was fabulous!! This home is truly amazing and we hope to return for another visit!
