Everything, beautiful well equipped cottage. very clean, warm and comfortable. Shane has worked very hard to create perfection. landscaping work very impressive. beautiful water ways and pond. although central to town, absolutely no noise. you would think you are in the countryside, especially if you rise for the dawn chorus. well don Shane, will recommend and return .

It was an absolutely beautiful Cottage and Garden! Cannot fault it. Every attention to detail thought of. Complimentary Prosecco in the fridge a lovely welcome! So close to town and lovely pubs/restaurants. Cannot recommend staying here enough! We will definitely be retuning. Thankyou Shane

That we couldn't stay longer!

Our time at Weir Cottage went too quickly! We greatly enjoyed our 2 nights at this lovely spot - an ideal combination of a classic thatched cottage exterior with a beautifully appointed contemporary interior. Shane's attention to detail and excellent liaison were really appreciated - everything we needed for a relaxing stay was provided. And then there was the GARDEN! - a real oasis of peace! Our thanks to Shane (and to Daisy) for our short but memorable stay.

Comfortable cottage in a convenient location, a short walk to the busy town but on a quiet street. Really lovely garden which we enjoyed while sitting on the terrace.

Nothing much to dislike.

The property is absolutely charming- a thatched cottage in the beautiful New Forest which has been totally renovated to modern standards. It is semi detached and there is a small additional cottage on the site within the small town. It is in 2 acres of ground which you have access to with a stream etc running through the grounds. There is plenty of garden space to quietly enjoy between the 3 properties and walking into town is right on your doorstep. It is so tranquil but has the advantage of shops, restaurants etc immediately adjacent. The finishes to the cottage are to the highest modern standards and design throughout but blended to being in a thatched cottage. No creaking floors or crafty windows and the cleanliness and facilities were superb.

Very comfortable, well equipped, an amazing garden just off a nice high street with good places to eat. The host was friendly and added a couple of little touches which helped make the stay.

The location was perfect. Easy access to the town and to surrounding areas. Property was very clean and the owner had clearly put a lot of thought into making sure guests were comfortable. The property itself is stunning, set in beautiful surroundings. Lots of mod cons and access to things like Netflix just made this the perfect home from home. Personal touches like fresh bread, milk and bubbly were waiting for us, and the cottage was decorated for Christmas. The owner stayed in touch throughout from booking to check out and was very attentive. It was the perfect break away that we needed and we will definitely be returning.

Location was good. Host went to great lengths to help us, and meet our requirements. Both house and garden were brilliant.

Can't think of anyrhing

Beautiful cottage with fantastic garden. Didn't get best use of the outdoor facility (decking etc) due to poor weather. Very good location for getting to local shops and driving to New Forest. Owner had provided lots of information on the property, directions etc.

Bed mattress didn't suit me as not firm enough but that was a personal thing. Winding stairs took some negotiating but they are typical of that type of property. Nothing else to comment on that was negative about the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Weir Cottage. The cottage and garden were beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. Thank you Shane for the thoughtful fresh bread, milk and bubbly on arrival. It was the perfect location for local walks and day trips out in the New Forest. There were lots of lovely pubs and restaurants nearby that were suitable for young families. We will definitely book again in the future.

The property was absolutely marvellous. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The cottage was of a high standard and the cleanliness was outstanding. I have stayed in many self catering places and this is by definitely one of the best. The cottage has a stunning garden that is extremely well loved and kept to a high standard. We loved watching the birds, ducks and other little animals moving around this lovely habitat. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was really lovely, very clean and super comfy bed. Right in the heart of Fordingbridge, location was perfect. The garden was also absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t be better.

Lovely cottage in a great location with the bonus of an amazing garden to explore. My 2 year old daughter loved the bridges, the stream, the ducks and the weir at the back. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Central to all the places we wanted to visit. Very friendly owner and the kitchen was stocked with milk, bread, butter, jams and lots more; even a bottle of bubbly :-)
