We stayed here for 6 days. The idea of staying on the hillside with a stunning view was better in our heads than in reality. Yes, the garden and sunset view from the hill was lovely. However, it came with a price and robbed us a better Port Barton experience. On our first day, we were welcomed by mosquito bites as we watched the sunset. Even with repellant, they still attacked. I believed we got more bites on our way up to the property. It’s definitely more than 30 steps. We had to stop halfway up and we can see a lot of mosquitoes in the area. It needs some fumigation service. Shower room was not deeply cleaned. A lot of mildew and yellow stains. The last reason that made us checked out early on the 5th day was because of cockroaches. We saw one inside our room on the 2nd day. We bought Baygon spray and sprayed the whole house. On the 4th day, as I opened my luggage, i felt something crawled on my arm. A cockroach. We packed as fast as we could and booked in a better place in town for the same price with hot shower and good internet connection. Sad to see a beautiful property gets ruined due to poor management.

1. The “wifi” is just a small portable device from Globe company that you need to return to the store for someone else to use. For the 6 days that we were there, we were not able to connect and use the wifi. It’s always saying “No internet connection.” The staff said it has some credits/ data but just poor signal. We had to go down to Oasis Restaurant to connect to a wifi and I bought a mobile data from Globe instead via Maya esim and it worked. I was able to gain connection. So the issue is not poor connectivity. 2. Yes, it was completely isolated from the busy town. Literally. No tricycles passing by. The shortest way is to walk through the beach to get to town but not the smartest thing to do especially in the evening. There were no streetlights. 3. One of the reasons we booked here was because several mentioned how accommodating the staff was. That’s not the experience we had. It was hard to find the man as he can only be contacted via a local number which we don’t have. We had to message through Booking and someone else is replying to us.

Attention il faut de toute même savoir en conséquence bien sûr c’est un choix à faire après que le confort est très classique : pas de clim pas d’eau chaude, pas de chasse d’eau non plus, encore moins de wifi 😉 Tout est à l’ancienne je n’ai pas utilisé la cuisine à par pour me brosser les dents mais pareil tout est à l’ancienne. C’est un chalet ancien il faut donc le savoir avant de réserver c’est tout. Une fois que l’on le sait à nous de savoir ce qu’on recherche.

Wunderschöner Ort mit bestem Blick über die Bucht. Sehr gepflegter Garten. Tolles Häuschen mit Terrasse, kleiner Küche und Bad.

Einziger kleiner Abzug ist die WiFi Box. Es gibt eine, die zuverlässig ist, aber je nach Bedarf ist sie bei anderen Touristen im Zimmer.

We had a lovely time here. Its a little walk or ride into the town but close enough. Walther and his staff are very helpful and friendly. The views over the bay are amazing and because its a little out of the town it is quiet and away from the hustle & bustle. For breakfast go into the restaurant they have in town.

1. L’amabilité et la disponibilité du responsable et de son employé. Ils ont tout organisé pour que tout se passe bien. Ils nous ont également réservé un transfert retour vers el nido et nous ont emmené à la gare routière. 2. La vue est exceptionnelle ! Vraiment regarder le coucher du soleil depuis les terrasses est franchement incroyable. 3. La proximité avec la plage et le centre ville. 10 minutes à pied sur des chemins suffisent à rejoindre les restaurants du bar de plage pour le petit déjeuner et les repas ainsi que les excursions « island tours ». (Attention difficile d’accès pour les personnes à mobilité réduite car de nombreux escaliers). 4. Lieu très bien entretenu. Les jardins sont très agréables et l’appartement est propre.

La salle de bain est vraiment petite. A peine l’espace de prendre une douche mais elle est fonctionnelle. Pas de restaurant mais une cuisine dans l’appartement ainsi qu’une dizaine de restaurants à 10minutes à pied par la plage accessibles facilement. Pas de Clim mais il y a de l’air grâce à la proximité avec la mer. Il y a des fenêtres partout et deux bons ventilateurs.

Prima huisje maar wel een rare indeling, de slaapkamer is de plek waar je vrijwel uitsluitend zult zijn en die is nogal klein. Gastheer aardiger en behulpzamer dan ik in eerste instantie dacht

Badkamer klein, extra betalen voor airco (je hebt een verlengsnoer nodig en dat is verkrijgbaar door akkoord te gaan met de extra betaling: 8 euro per nacht. De gastheer vindt airco niet nodig "want het is hier helemaal niet zo warm in de nacht". In werkelijkheid is het bloedheet want de huisjes liggen de hele dag in de brandende zon. Ik schoot een beetje in de irritatie door dit gedoe (moet je niet doen want je wordt er niet wijzer van)
