Here’s my story—I booked the family room, #209.
There are definitely some positives: quick responses to questions, fast late check-in, and a location close to the city center.
However, there are far more negatives:
⁃ The room is severely overpriced (especially considering the final issue!).
⁃ Breakfast is included but could be improved. The coffee, in particular, needs a lot of work.
⁃ Not all the listed amenities were available in the room—no kitchenware, no coffee maker. There was no inner courtyard view, or any view at all, as the room faced the attic.
⁃ The refrigerator was extremely loud—it’s impossible to sleep unless you turn it off.
⁃ But the absolute worst part? The cockroaches. I’m talking a lot of cockroaches! Crawling like they had their own little party going on in the room. It was a complete nightmare, and frankly, disgusting. I’ve never seen anything like it in a hotel.

The hotel is very nice and clean, with pleasant employees, very helpful.
The furniture is a bit old and not the most conformable bed, but all in all, good value for money.

Very friendly staff who spoke English. Arranged a 3:30am taxi for me to the airport. There was someone at the desk at 3:30am who made sure my departure went smoothly. Since I departed prior to breakfast being served they made a lunch box meal that I could take with me. My room was extremely clean and comfortable with a remote for the air conditioner. There is a grocery store about 100m down the street which made shopping very easy.
The size of the sink in the bathroom is very small.

The hotel and room were amazing! We loved that was pet friendly and it also had private parking. The staff was also very helpful. We will come back

The staffs at astoria were extremely helpful! Great dinner from the hotel and brekkie too. Quiet room with cozy street view, I had to work a bit during my stay and I was so lucky to have my own office corner within the room. Walking distance to the main street - food/cafe/parks, etc. Thanks again everyone from the hotel, plus their cute house cat.

Great reception service - we arrived after midnight, they called us and confirmed that they are waiting for us, helped with the taxi and with the invoice.
Also it is a good value for money.

The location was great, the receptionists spoke good English, the room was clean and comfortable. There is a good restaurant in the bottom of the hotel.
Unlocking the door took a little practice, but maybe it's a Moldovan/Romanian thing, because I ran into similar locks during my trip.
Be careful of stray dogs if you're walking to the hotel. They're pretty aggressive and I got accosted a couple of times, although it's a problem in all of Chisinau.

The hotel has beautiful serves and personal. We had travel with pets and we haven't any problem with this moment. The hotel has the grate restaurant with authentically kitchen and Moldavian veins. My recommendation - reserve it without any doubt!
