It was a good size with plenty of room and the location was convenient to our friends that we were visiting.

The level of cleanliness was not good. Whilst surfaces like windows sills and tables, and kitchen work tops had been cleaned, it needed a deep clean around the kitchen cabinets walls and blind. The inside of the bin in the kitchen wasn’t pleasant. Also all the walls were badly marked with scuffs and leak marks. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the house. Also the small double and main bed was extremely uncomfortable and lead to 3 of us having 2 sleepless nights which is not great with the long journeys we had. The corner of the marble fireplace was broken and sharp and the edge was just left on the fireplace surround. The main bedroom door did not close, which was not ideal. In both bathrooms the was issues with the towel rail, one was hanging off the wall, the other had clearly been taken down but the holes left and not filled in. We tried to put the heating on but it didn’t come on. Really missing some TLC overall.

It was spacious with plenty of furniture. The property owner was helpful in their communication, including a good PDF guide. It was also a very reasonable price.

A lot of things we were told would be included were missing and we had to go out and get basic stuff like bin bags, toilet roll, soap & salt after a long trip. It was also a little grubby in places - I got the impression it’s been a long time that the house had more than a very quick clean, especially bathrooms & kitchen.

Stayed with work colleagues while on a job nearby. Made a welcome change from individual rooms in hotels. Good parking at the property and nearby. House also has everything you need to prepare meals. Good, responsive communication from the owner.

We liked the yard for the dog, the street, the parking space was generous and plenty of places to sleep. the host left all the basics (laundry detergent, dish liquid, washing sponges, towels were folded and on beds, throws, etc. There was also body liquid soap in the shower which was a nice touch.

It was dark and grey, but just.a shaded area. there weren't any outdoor safety lights at night, or lights that came on with motion.
