There was no paper towel. laundry machine broke in the middle and started flooding all the way to my room and upon informing the owner I was told I will get a refund but haven’t seen any refund yet.

The apartment is close to the center and the station and it has a nice view but not the expected mind blowing one (you could see the lake from one single window in the living room). The owner accepted a late check out.

It was super expensive (360 eur for 2 nights in low season when almost nothing is open) for what it was: an average place with little to no attention to detail - the closet doors were removed and were standing in the way, the owner left coffee in the kitchen but no lighter to be able to actually use that Moka pot, the cleaning was not done properly, there was no soap in the bathroom and no shower gel, we found a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom.

Beautiful apartment with lake view! It had all the basic amenities.. lovely place for a family of 3 .. Giada , our host was very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late .. she was also helpful with suggestions about things to go while we were there.. we would definitely recommend this place for a holiday in Lake Como!

the location and view were fabulous beds were very comfortable property mgr went above snd beyond to help us with our baggage snd transportation snd spoke english

the property needed a bit of house keeping, such as extra tp, iron that worked and directions in english to use tv snd mechanics, no coffee machine

The location was perfect with amazing views from 2 of the windows located next to the bedroom. Sound proof double glazing stopped all traffic noise from the road below but wonderful shutters on all windows to open and look out from.

Although I'm not pedantic, the general cleaning and preparation for new guests could have been a little better. Only 2 pillows provided for 2 guests, an additional covering for the provided bed sheet was an uncovered doona stuffed into a cupboard, previous guests part used toiletries and sanitary items left in the bathroom and the floor, although swept, felt dirty.

Aircon was listed, but not actually available in the apartment. I assume usually not a problem, but it was very hot when we were there in the middle of summer! Laundry machine wasn't working, but Gaida (host) allowed us to use the one in the apartment next door. When things weren't quite right, Gaida (host) really helped us solve any problems, and tried to make us feel at home.

Everything was perfect, location of the house was near by hotspots. The host of the house was extremelly helpful and let us leave the luggage at her place after check out.

The view is nice, just in front of the lake. apartment is spacious and has a washing machine which is good.

1) The house does not have aircon and it was very warm when we stayed. when we opened the windows, the flies came in and there were mosquitoes as well. My husband and son got bitten in the night. 2) The room was not properly cleaned when we reached. pillows on the floor and floor was dirty. when we told the owner she did offer to waive the cleaning fees though we did not accept. 3) furniture minimal and space was not well made used of. feels empty. 4) was noisy till around 11 pm as it was situated above a restaurant and the voices of the patrons could be heard very distinctly. the sound of cars moving past at the road towards the bedroom could also be heard.

The apartment was quite central to the square in Varenna and less than 10 minute walk to the train station and sock. It was also less than a couple of minutes walk if that to the lakefront which was an added bonus. The host was amazing and left us with complimentary wine, biscuits and kindly allowed us to park in the parking area during our stay and even after check out.

This is no reflection on the accommodation itself, but I would probably choose Belagio over Varenna as there is plenty more to do! I did choose the accommodation for the views; which are slight from the side window going into the bathroom. This may have been clarified on the host’s page but I certainly didn’t pick up on it, even so, I am still very happy with the accommodation and how the host treated us :)

Apartment was very comfortable and equipped with all essentials. Owner is very friendly and always ready to help. I will definitely recommend tourists to stay at this place.

There is nothing as such that I did not like.

Great location, a steep staircase away from the Varenna waterfront with a magnificent view and lots of interesting restaurtants. Great faciilities in the apartment, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed.

Noise from the street - lots of traffic coming from the street outside - this apartment has all the windows out to the street with quite a lot of traffic, every passing car could be heard, especially at night/early morning.

Location was prime, walking distance to everything you needed in Varenna. The host (Giada) was very helpful throughout our stay. Be aware of staying during the off seasons as not everything will be open but we still had a great time.

The room was amazing, the home owner left us very good instructions for the self check in. the place is so romantic, well located and the room was well equipped. You can buy groceries and cook if you please.

Giada is very welcoming and helpful. The flat is very comfortable and the view on the Lake amazing. Car park is very close to the apartment. Very good restaurants and speed boats are very close also.
