Host were very responsive to our needs. We had a wonderful stay.

The condo was very nice and well equipped.
The balcony gave us a spectacular view and a a great place for morning coffee. the pools were very well kept and a good place to hang out.
The additional ice maker did not seem to work but a very minor gliche.
The beach was only a very short walk away.

Incredible location. Excellent property, with 2 big issues.
* dishwasher wasn't installed when we arrived. Could not use the first day. Lost 4 hours of beach time to stay with maintenance personnel.
* Masterbath shower knob was severely cracked on arrival. It broke off after first use. For day and a half was not usable. Water for entire condo shut off for half a day to have faucet replaced. Major inconvenience.

This condo was undoubtedly one of the best on this property, with incredible views and a convenient location. It remained pleasantly uncrowded, and we always had a parking spot and on the beach, there was always ample room. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The view was impressive! This stretch of the beach wasn't crowded at all. We enjoyed the pools. We recommend touring Fort Macon, checking out MacDaddy's, going to the Aquarium and spending time on the beach. The binder of info left for guests was very helpful. My parents, my brother's family and our family enjoyed our week. It just went by too fast. 😉

Condo view is 5 star with easy access to private beach area.
The condo was certainly not filthy, however it was in need of a good cleaning.
The refrigerator, seat cushions, showers, baths, air vents, and air return needed a deep clean. The vacuum in the condo was very dirty.
The porch lights did not work, however this was quickly fixed when property manager was contacted.
There is construction going on in the building which awakened us every morning.
I would stay in this group of condos again, but I would not stay in this particular condo again.
The biggest reason is it was sub par for VRBO DUE TO CLEANLINESS.

It was perfect…morning coffee on the patio while enjoying the view, walks on the beach collecting shells, playing in the waves, sight seeing and enjoying shrimp burgers and crab cakes for dinner at local restaurants.

This was a great location with direct panoramic views of Indian Beach. Multiple pools to choose from, on-site grill and bar, and close to restaurants. To top it off the condo boasts wonderfully done upgrades inside.

We come to Summerwinds every July and have stayed in this condo for several years. Everything we would need is provided. The condo has a smart lock so we don't have to worry about "loosing keys" which is really great when you have 5-7 people wondering in and out. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Not clean and not updated in my opinion. New countertops do not make an update. Cookware was old and rusty, glasses cloudy, screens torn, crud and rusty areas in twin bath, baseboards need replacing, as do the cabinets. it was very difficult and time consuming to reach the owners. I had to go to the home owners building and they contacted them. Then a property manager called me. She was very nice and sent out new cookware, glasses, kitchen towels, potholders and sponges. Asked how would we have known to contact her and was told they were working on that. We were very disappointed in the unit, other than the view, which was great!

Best view! We definitely loved our stay. My mother-in-law has cancer and is having trouble getting around but parking right beside the elevator and she used her walker to the top of the steps and she was able to use the steps to get out to the beach. Very accommodating.

This is a very nice resort. Guarded and gated. Nice beach and pools. Our family is age 5 to 83 and this place was great for everyone. We will absolutely stay here again.

Group of 7 ladies getting together to catch up with each other. Condo was great.Beautiful ocean view with plenty of balcony space. Fully stocked kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms. Typical furniture you see in rentals. The owners were great to work with and quick to respond to my questions. We were there (late Sept.) during off season which might explain why no security on duty at gate when we arrived in the afternoon. Had to call to be let in. Had to call again to get directions to correct building. Important to note during off season almost all the amenities on site not open. This was not important to us, but may be to families. On 2nd day, elevator was out of order which was tough because we were on 4th floor. Fortunately we were able to walk to opposite side of building and use that elevator. All in all these were minor hiccups in an otherwise terrific stay.

Great stay for 3 adults and 2 teens, nice upgraded kitchen for meals at home, $1M view from living, balcony, dining, and master. Solid wifi for are "working" vacations. Complex as a whole has alot to offer. Had minor issue that was resolved within hours on same day by the owner. We will book again here.

SummerWinds Condo
We are a family of 7 adults and 2 children who gather on the island every summer for a family vacation. This was our first time stating at SummerWinds. We loved the community. There was so much to do…multiple pools, basketball court, large grassy areas for children to play, indoor pool for a rainy morning. The view from this condo is fantastic. The condo itself was nice with plenty of space. However, it needed a good deep clean. The areas under the beds had not been swept in quite some time, and the floors throughout needed to be mopped. We had to wear shoes inside due to the fact that our feet would become black on the bottom. We also found multiple items (a dance trophy, float on balcony, etc) that seemed to have been left by previous occupants and not picked up by the cleaning crew. However, overall we had a great week.

Summer Vacation
Our large family enjoyed our vacation here. There are beautiful ocean views from the deck. The condo is nicely decorated and comfortable and worked very well for our extended family of all ages. It has easy access to the beach as well as the pool. We had a few minor issues we addressed with the owner. We appreciated the 24/7 security and felt safe staying here. We have no reservations recommending this condo and would stay here again.

Beautiful spot for our family ages 20-80
This unit is quiet and positioned perfectly for our family. Great views of the beach and pool plus bay across the street. Balcony was ideal. Beach never crowded. The elevator worked well - luggage carriers great. Stairs were a great workout. Utilized many of the amenities this complex offered especially the work out room. Would come back - was our first trip to this NC island. Cooked most of our meals in. Thank you for letting us stay in your unit!

Renting was convenient, owners emailed easy to follow directions that lead us straight to the door! Great ocean views, close to the beach, pool and game room right on the property but also close to great restaurants and food trucks within walking distance and right in the middle of Emerald Isle and Atlantic beach!! Perfect for my family!! Would definitely rent again.

Great get away!
This was a great get away spot for my husband and me, our daughter, 2 daughters in law, and 5 grandchildren. The condo is pretty compact while still being comfortable and having all the necessary components. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and game room especially on the one rainy day we had, while the adults enjoyed some games in the condo and watching/listening to the ocean. They views are just perfect. Hubby and I loved the master bedroom views of the ocean first thing every morning. The youngest grandchild asked if we used the sound of the ocean as our sound machine to help us sleep.
My only suggestion for anyone staying there is that if you plan on cooking something special you may want to take your own pan. What is there is adequate for something simple.
Overall I’d give it a 4.5 and I would love to go back!

1st Annual Sisters Trip
When pulling up to the property, we were a little worried. The property from the road looked like we pulled in the projects. We unloaded all of our luggage and headed to the elevator, WHICH DID NOT WORK. Our room was on the 4th Floor. We had our spouses with us, some who had COPD who could not use the stairs so we were panicking. We did call the gate security gaurd and he was not aware that the elevator was not in service so he had to call service in which would not be until the next day. We had to take massive loads of luggage (There were 7 of us) down to the middle section of the property and use that elevator and then push all this luggage back to our section. NOT GOOD. I also had our 83 year old father which could not do steps. This was worrisome.
Upon entry of our room, we were very happy. It was just like it looked on line. The only thing I would suggest to the owners would be to make sure your laminate floors and kitchen gets mopped more reguarly, our socks were black on the bottom.
Also, no batteries in the fire alarms and the fridge water filter's light was on that said it needed replacing.
We tried calling the number that was listed to call if you need something and it went to a voice mail that said this mailbox is full. So we couldn't have reached someone at all during the whole trip. The fire alarm batteries were the most worrisome as we were on the 4th floor.
View was beautiful! Our Dad and sisters spouse could not go to the beach because of the stairs you had to go down to access the beach, which was a bummer. It was very hard to climb them as well. So if your looking for ease, this is not the property.

Perfect off-season vacation
The owner was very gracious in communication - the condo had everything you would need. My family was extremely comfortable there and the ocean view is so relaxing. Without question would stay at this host's properties again.
