We were lucky enough to find this home on VRBO for our trip to Richmond. The home is very well cared for and the owners wonderful to deal with. We most definitely hope to stay here again in the near future.

Great place and the host was fantastic to work with. House was very cozy and nice and close to restaurants.

We slept so well and enjoyed the lovely home. The host has really considered the guest experience. We felt as if we were staying at the house of a thoughtful relative.

My husband and I met up with our 2 young adult daughters for a little reunion weekend. The house was cute, clean, and comfortable. We cooked while there and found the kitchen well-stocked- much better than most vacation rentals! House was located on a somewhat busy street but there was plenty of off-street parking for our 3 vehicles. The bedrooms were located at the back of the house so we did not hear any traffic noise at night. My husband, who rarely comments about the places I choose to rent, said this was one of his all-time favorites! We hope to come back! Thank you, Harold!

We enjoyed and love the house it was perfect for our girls get-a-way weekend, the house was equipped with all the things you need home a way from home.

I was very pleased w this charming little home. The owner's generosity in providing anything one might need went above and beyond. The kitchen and fridge were fully stocked. I have stayed at other VRBO's that provided the bare minimum of things like paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper. This was not the case w this charming home. We spent the majority of time in the home on the raised covered side porch, also fully equipped with comfortable chairs and porch swing. The beds were also very comfortable. I will definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay in Richmond and the location of the property. This home is comfortable and well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The home is a short walk into downtown Richmond where you can find a variety of restaurants.

Great location for visiting Lexington area. Safe neighborhood, convenient to restaurants/shopping. Very clean, comfy bed/pillows. Owner has thought of everything, down to plug adapters, stocked necessities, even in fridge. Quiet in bedrooms at night even though house is right on Main Street. Great value for a VRBO house. Really liked staying in this quaint little college town of 35,000 instead of a larger city. Bonus: Buc-ee’s only 10 minutes away. I could go on and on. Just stay here, thank me later! Past reviews are good and accurate - there isn't much more I can say that hasn't already been covered. We enjoyed our stay here, it was perfect. I am still wondering how they keep it so clean, fresh and looking new. Even the old parts of the home were clean and well maintained. We had a problem getting into the property when we arrived (no fault of the owner) and he promptly communicated and arrived at the property to assist us. The complimentary food was nice and saved us another trip to the grocery store or restaurant. This was our second stop on our vacation and our son had injured his neck days prior so we didn't make it to a lot of the attractions we had planned but this was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere while making sure our son was comfortable. Our dog also enjoyed it, there was plenty of space and while the backyard is not completely fenced in it offered privacy and room for him to run and play. If we ever come back to Kentucky we will definitely stay here again.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and location of this property. Harold communicated well before and after our stay and there was not a single thing we needed because the home was so well stocked. We would love too return to explore Richmond more!

Nice place, as advertised. Nice location as a jump off point for sightseeing in eastern Kentucky. Harold was great with communication.

We had to make a quick trip to the area, and since we'd had such a great experience here during a vacation last year we reached out to Harold to see if we could stay again. This is a wonderful property and the owners are great to work with. We consider it our "home away from home" when we're in the Lexington area now. :)

Very nice older home with hardwood floors, the the architecture is so fitting to the time the home was built. live how the owner has kept the home with modern appliances and the open format was a take back in time. we really enjoyed our stay and would reccomend this property to anyone looking for a quiet stay but in proximity of local attractions. 5 stars. Very nice house. clean and well decorated. Very period correct. Beds were great, a little down side, it only has 1 bath. There were 4 of us , we made it work. Plenty of cooking and eating utensils. The parking was a bit of a challenge, but we made that work as well. We liked it well enough we reserved it for a visit this christmas holiday.

We very much enjoyed our weekend. After travelling from Canada, we we thrilled with the location and comfort of the home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure ease of entry and feeling comfortable due to all the extras and amenities they provided. Should we ever visit Lexington again we would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you for making the weekend so memorable. Sadly the horses we chose to win were not as gracious and cooperative as our hosts.

We loved this house! It was easy to find and an easy walk or drive to the activities we had planned. The house was clean, cute and comfortable for our group. We will book this house again and highly recommend it!

I could not wait to get home and write a review for this lovely property. Talk about a find...this one is it! I loved that we were in a historic home. It was refreshing that the owners decided to keep the homes charm and not swap out tons of things. I loved the woodwork and appreciated the antiques throughout the home. It felt that we were really staying with the owners as the decor showed personality. I loved the property. What makes this property stand out from others, is the gracious offerings from the host. Milk, OJ, water, eggs and frozen waffles and breakfast sandwiches were left for us. My personal favorite was the snack cabinet. Loads of cereal bars and other snacks were left for us to enjoy. They even had coffee for us to use. There was plenty of TP. This host gets that making our stay pleasant will bring us back to the area again. Very thoughtful host that made us feel welcome. The home is in close proximity to several wonderful parks and historical sites. It was a great location to head to the downtown area as well. I wish I would have taken a walk and observed all of the beautiful homes that are in the area. That will have to happen on our next visit. We loved exploring Richmond and will be back again. This home is in a perfect location to drive out and explore the area. Fantastic location with really wonderful hosts!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The location allowed for easy day trips in and arounds Lexington. There are so many great restaurants and sites to visit in the area that we are already planning a return trip! The thoughtful "extras" provided in the snack cabinet and fridge made the first day so much less stressful, allowing us to not have to worry about an immediate trip to the grocery store. We were able to just relax and unwind after our road trip. Harold is quick to respond to all questions and issues. Beds are comfy (even the futon in the living room!). Can't say enough good things about this property and the owners.

NIce older home that was welcoming and had everything we needed. We arrived late due to some car trouble and was surprised to find the house was stocked with cold drinks, snacks, coffee and basic provisions. The location was great convenient to shopping, the interstate and restaurants. If I had a negative about this great little house it would be that the driveway is small and the distance between the house and fence is narrow. Keep in mind I was driving a Tranist 350 and pulling a trailer that gave me an overall rig length of 41 feet. However, this was pleasanlty offset by easy communication with Harold and an immediate resolution that allowed us to drop the trailer in the front yard and park the truck and morotcylces behind the house in the driveway. Another bonus is that Harold had all the items needed to do laundry so we were able to travel home without dreadng the after vacation laundry. GREAT STAY THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING !

This is a wonderful, cozy cottage with all the amenities you could think of. It was so comfortable, clean, and convenient. Harold was incredibly responsive. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Communication with owner was awesome, very responsive. No issues at all check in was easy and everything in the house was perfect when we arrived. The location is fantastic in terms of location to EKU, very easy to help our son who goes there. Lots of dishes with was great we cooked most of the time. Did a few day trips around the area-Lexington, Cincinnati, hiking to Anglin Fall(this was beautiful), the county fair and lots of shopping. Everything was great and hopefully will return. Thanks for a great rental.

This house gave us a time to be refreshed and enjoy the local culture around arts and crafts. Our host left the house stocked with goodies. We were comfortable and happy. We would come back to the property in the future.

The host’s of this quaint home redefined “fully stocked kitchen” for us. We had everything we needed for an easy breakfast before heading out for the day. The snack cabinet was a highlight for our grandchildren. The home was comfortable with plentiful towels and comfortable beds/bedding. With many thoughtful touches evident, we would definitely stay here again.
