The location was absolutely fantastic with the ocean so close and the pier to walk on the beach was nearby. Very clean condo with amazing views, would definitely stay there again.

The condo was well furnished and spacious enough for our family of four. Great views and easy access to the beach. Would stay there again.

We have stayed in this particular Ocean Dunes condo numerous times and have been pleased each visit. There is an upstairs condo which can be a bit noisy at times but nothing too concerning. Has a nice second bedroom with an actual full bed. This is a great alternative to the bunk beds usually found in vacation rentals.

One or two things alone is not really an issue but a broken diswasher with standing water thats smells like fish is pretty nasty. It was listed WITH a diswasher available. No screens when you have two children along, and biting flies outside is very uncomfortable and, we go to the ocean to hear the ocean. No swimming pool available when it is in the listing is more than irritating. Small kids CANNOT swim in the ocean when there are high waves. Thats why we find VRBO's with pools.. As for the rest...we pay a cleaning fee so we arrive to a clean house. Not so we can pay to clean it ourselves or call people to fix what is broken because these important things should already work.

Property was in Nice area. Property was fairly nice. Pools & hot Tub pictured was main reason for rental. Outdoor pools are totally out of order and currently in disrepair. Indoor pool & hot tub were too difficult to locate on short weekend trip with no clear directions or signs. A/C didn't work. I might stay again if pools and A/C are working as pictured/listed otherwise price seemed too high. It was off season but still had no idea where indoor amenities were. Area is nice and laid back non-commercialized. Ocean Front Balcony was very nice and best part of rental.

We had a wonderful time, and have been to Fort Fisher many times. I grew up going to Ocean dunes and it is like a second home. The owners were very accommodating. We will be back.

Great stay- rooms were just as shown in pictures. Would recommend to others and will stay here again in the future.

We spent three nights here the first weekend in November & the weather was perfect. Property was easy to find & smelled clean upon arrival. Both bedrooms are spacious & comfortable with wall mount tvs & large closets. This comes in handy when traveling with other adults as most condos seem to have bunk beds or are cramped with two double beds & a small closet. One downside is the toilets are very low which makes things a bit difficult for elderly/differently-abled guests. This condo is in a great location on a nice stretch of beach. One of the nicest condos that we’ve seen in Ocean Dunes.

We had such a great stay at this sweet condo in Fort Fisher. 2nd floor location was overlooking a beautiful stretch of beach. Private balcony accessible from both the living room and master bedroom had perfect sunrise view. Condo was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Good location less than a mile from the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher and the NC Ferry to Southport, and only about 4 miles into Carolina Beach. We are definitely planning to go back!

Spent Fall Break 2023 here. We had a great time. Loved watching the sunrise from the deck. Place was nice, the only negative thing was that the driveway was hard to see at night. Needs to have something that marks the driveway. Other than that it was a great place to spend our break at.

The condo was clean and the view was spectacular. Kitchen was well equipped with what was needed. Overall quiet and peaceful.

My family enjoyed our stay. The condo had all the amenities needed for a home away from home. I would recommend updates on cookware( pots/pans), utensils and bathrooms. The climate in the second bedroom was warmer than the master and may have ventilation issues. We didn’t have any issues or concerns that impacted our stay and throughly enjoyed the oceanfront location and cleanliness of the beach. The area is very family oriented. We enjoyed the recreation and plan to visit again!

The ONLY thing that could have been better is that the master bedroom's sliding door was off track and never fixed. The cleaning lady was there when we arrived and she noticed it as well as us. She said she would report it and take it to the property tenders. She said they would have it fixed ASAP. We never heard anything from them. BUT other than that small issue it was a WONDERFUL place to stay for a PERFECT vacation!!

Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed. So amazing to be right on the ocean - amazing view and space to enjoy from the deck. Beach access and pool were all very convenient and we enjoyed lots of time at both :)

The property was as is on site. Had some issues with plumbing n dishwasher backing up on kitchen floor n guest bathroom. Called n got great response although I really think there’s a plumbing problem the dishwasher would run but dishes did not get cleaned. We weren’t doing too much cooking so to wash as we went was fine One thing I think owners didn’t know construction debris was left in parking area nails in boards missed our tires by 2 inches. We moved them but should thrown out n one chair for beach was broke no big deal needed a couple for home so we handled that. Also indoor pool was a good bit down the road n was closed so couldn’t use especially since we got rained out Friday n Saturday. All in all we had a good time relaxed n enjoyed our family guests traveling couple we travel with a lot

This property is amazing! Beautiful view! Literally in the dunes! Clean, comfortable, well maintained home. Excellent communication with owner. Had a great time! Planning our next trip and hope to stay here again!

Beautiful view! Close to everything!

We stayed many times at this property and we always have a great time. The property is always nice and well stocked the views are amazing and the food is fabulous. We highly recommend the Carolina boil company for all your seafood needs and islands Mexican grill for a great lunch. Also planet smoothie for the best smoothie ever.

The condo was nicely decorated and extremely clean! Normally with VRBO, we bring toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish detergent and garbage bags. We were pleasantly surprised to find all of these already in place and we could immediately begin our vacation. Little touches, such as this, mean a great deal. The beds we’re comfortable and all of the comforters, sheets and extra blankets were clean and in good condition. Bath towels were neatly stacked on each bed awaiting. The bedrooms were on opposite ends so you aren’t wall to wall next to someone. The master has sliding doors directly to the deck where the dunes and beach are just steps away! The living room had clean and comfortable, good size couches. The back deck overlooking the beautiful beach was the highlight of the evening and early mornings. The beach was gorgeous and not crowded at all. For a small town, it had choices for breakfast and dinner and Carolina and Wilmington are within 15-30 minutes. Kure is quiet and we enjoyed that ambience. John could not have been more accommodating and communication was excellent. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will I will be booking again! Thank you for sharing your home and allowing my cousin and myself to have beautiful memories of our time spent at Lire Beach!

Property is right on the beach. Everything was clean. Floors are new. Toilets are water-savers, sometimes struggle even with toilet paper. Countertops new. Cabinets not the best quality. Many air registers were well-rusted. All the above are minor things. The bed we slept in was brand new and very firm. Fridge and dishwasher in good working order. It was great to open the deck door and just listen to the ocean. Great location. We wanted to just kick back and do nothing for a few days and this place was perfect for it. Owner gave us a detailed email before we came that outlined everything well.

We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary and had a wonderful relaxing time. The view was AMAZING. We were right by the aquarium and the ferry.

The overall trip was great! The property was awesome with easy access to the beach, outdoor pools with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a recreational center with equipment to use for shuffle board, tennis, and basketball. The unit provided access to beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon. Shaded parking under the unit was also a huge benefit. The condo itself could use a few upgrades. The kitchen pots/utensils/plates need updating, several were heavily used and damaged. There was an unexpected visit from the dryer vent maintenance crew. Communication with the owner was vague with spotty wifi and other issues that he was alerted to, in addition I had to contact him a couple of times in order to receive the arrival instructions. Overall, it was a really good vacation, but with a little upkeep and improvements, the condo could be fantastic.

Outstanding beach stay.

Experienced a slight delay with check in, but owners and property manager took care of us right away and made things right. Beautiful views, easy access to ocean, and very quiet this time of year - early April. Thankful for a relaxing getaway.
