Our group is familiar with Pinecrest. Some of us either having owned a family cabin by the lake, just visited on occassion, or stayed at the Lair of the Bear. This cabin was set up perfectly for our (3) families. We had a range of ages from 3 years old to 8 years old and Adults 35+. There were plenty of games to play, dice, cards, puzzles for the kids, pool table for the adults, tv, etc. The accommodations were extremely comfortable. Every detail is very thought out and organized in the kitchen. I greatly appreciate that and as a host myself in Truckee, CA, we can always take notes from other owners about how to improve our own rentals. Our kids also brought their bikes. It was a safe area for them to ride around and even through Stanislaus National Forest as it opens up right next to the house. This is a great rental. We will be back!

We were vacationing for a family reunion, and this property was just right for all ages. You can tell the place is well cared for.
A big, well-stocked kitchen; nice BBQ grill, AC!, fans in each room, nice cozy couch, and the pool table kept the little ones off their screens and in friendly competition.
We could zip to the lake, horseback riding, or putt putt golf in Twain Harte. SO fun! I would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at your beautiful mountain home. It was perfect for our family. Kitchen was very well stocked, appliances were in great condition. Kids loved the pool table and we had some great tournaments! We hope to come back again.

Three generations of our family once again had a grand time at Pinecrest Lake. This year, however, was very special because of our stay at Ridgeview Lodge. It was amazing: very roomy and comfortable, best eqipped and best organized kitchen ever, owner very responsive, beautiful setting. We highly recommend staying at Ridgeview Lodge.

We have been renting up in Pinecrest for over 10 years and this is by far the best cabin we have ever been in. It was absolutely immaculate. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything. Beautiful deck, and furniture to sit outside in. Great place for a family reunion. We would definitely recommend and use this cabin again. Wonderful experience with the owner./property manager.

The property was immaculate. The kitchen super organized - we appreciated the labels as to where everything in the kitchen belonged - so helpful! The beds were comfortable and the space perfect for a large group with multiple eating and social areas. Carolyn, the host, was communicative up front in making sure we had the information we needed, as well as during our stay when we had questions. For an annual trip our group makes to Pinecrest - 10 years strong - this is the first property that we want to repeat!!

The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Location was great at the end of the plowed road and less than 30 minutes to Dodge Ridge and Leland Snow Park. Our friends and family loved the amenities, the view, and the pool table. We would not hesitate to stay at this wonderful home away from home in the future.

This cabin was definitely the best cabin for our family. As our family grew we had to find a little larger cabin each year. This cabin easily accommodated us. There was enough room for everyone to do what they wanted. The kitchen had all the pots and pans a gourmet cook would need. We, without a doubt, had some dinners fit for a gourmet!!!
We all agree we would love to rent from Carolyn next year, if she will have us!

Fantastic stay!
This property was terrific and perfect accommodations for 14 of us. Great proximity to Dodge Ridge or Pinecrest Lake and plenty of space for all as well as wonderful amenities. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Cozy, comfy, and room for all.
We all loved our stay. Obvious attention was paid to guests’ enjoyment with the mountain decor, furnishings, really everything.

2nd Stay—Just as great as the first!
This is our second stay at Ridgeview lodge-our first was in 2019.
We love all the new upgrades and updates to the property and it’s still our favorite place in the area for our annual extended family winter weekend!
The beds are comfortable, and you absolutely can not beat waking up every morning and having coffee while enjoying the stunning views.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!
The host was very responsive and kind, which made the start of this booking very pleasant.
When we got to the cabin, we were impressed with how clean and well taken care of everything is. The view from the deck alone made the trip worth it. Being surrounded by trees was so incredibly peaceful. The kitchen was big enough, the pool table was a lot of fun, the amount of space we had was great, but the view was everything!
We loved the location of this home, and had a great experience with the host.
We would love to come back in the future for another stay.

Best VRBO rental ever!
The house was awesome, better than expected. We've rented houses several times and this house is by far the best place we've stayed. We had up to 12 people and never felt crowded. We were in town for my nephew's wedding at Camp Sylvester - it turns out the bride's grandfather built the house and owned it for many years. Her family was able to come visit the house and share their favorite memories - it was a beautiful coincidence!!

Amazing place!
I just got back from an amazing trip and this home is so beautiful! Very well taken care of, quiet, and the end of a cul de sac,
5 minutes to Pincrest. Well stocked. We had 7 adults and 5 kids and we had more than enough space. Owners are very responsive to any questions and needs. We will rent home again!

Great family cabin ... Very spacious!
We loved staying here. This was our first family vacation and we couldn't have picked a better place! They we very clean and the owner messaged back very quickly if we had and concerns. Definitely would stay again.

Family getaway to Pinecrest Lake
We had 5 adults and 6 children, ranging in age from 2 1/5 to 1.
The property was very well stocked and very clean.
It was unusually hot while we were there and the house was quite warm upstairs, where most of the bedrooms are, especially the bunk room. We would recommend this property but you do need to supply your own sheets, towels and even kitchen towels which is a lot of extra stuff to try to fit in the cars.

Wonderfull Times at Pinecrest
We would like to send you a special "Thank you" to our host, Carolyn for her lovely house and the very thoughtful gift that she left for us. We enjoyed the quiet patio overlooking the woods day and night. Great location, short drive to beautiful Pinecrest lake. We were 5 families with kids and we fit very comfortably, we all enjoyed the pool table and board games.

Great family getaway
We chose this home for a quick little family get away. We had an amazing weekend at this home. It is located at the end of a quiet street with great hiking trails right outside the back yard. Home was cozy and fully stocked with everything that we needed. Lake pinecrest and dodge ridge was a stones throw away. A perfect place to disconnect and recharge.

Ridgeview getaway
Ridgeview Lodge was clean, spacious and beautifully comfortable. My family had a great time. This place had plenty of beds yet we didn't feel crowded. If I had to say a negative it would be the 1st floor bedroom was always cold which we just added another blanket. Even though Cold Springs is only 1hr and 45 min away it seemed so far away. We had seclusion and backyard view was a National Forrest. We are planning to make this our annual Family winter retreat ❤. Thank you Ridgeview Lodge for giving us beautiful family memories!

Beautiful Cabin
Had a wonderful time at Ridgeview Cabin. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. We had a family group of 15 and their is so much space no one felt crowded, The deck is nice to relax outside with a beautiful view. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

A perfect place
Had the best stay at Ridgeview Lodge. Everything was as described and pictured. We loved the kids corner and having separate areas to hang out and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and a joy to cook in. The view from the deck/back windows is beautiful and peaceful, especially with snow falling! A perfect stay, would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Fly fishing weekend
A couple weeks ago, our group of six had the good fortune to land at the Ridgeview Lodge for our annual fly fishing adventure. The home is spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was a perfect place to relax after a hard day of fishing, hiking and kayaking. There is a nice landing inside the front door for drying damp waders (or ski gear), the kitchen is well equipped, and the deck is an inviting destination for enjoying a cold one, and reflecting on the success of a day well lived and waters well fished. Many thanks to Carolynn and her family for sharing their home.

A wonderful retreat in the woods!
A perfect place to get some work done planning a year of programming with our youth leaders as well as being an excellent location to relax, unwind, and play games. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!!

Great house, great location!
We were 3 dads and 3 13 yr olds -- perfect house for fun and hanging out. Bedrooms were just right. Loved the open kitchen-LR-DR-play room flow downstairs, and onto the back deck for coffee and conversations. At the end of a dead-end street, so easy access to trail runs downhill to the North Fork Tuolomne/fire roads. Easy access up 'n down the hills to mountains or towns. This was a perfect house for all of us! Thanks so much.

Amazing Family trip
This is a beautiful cabin in the most amazing location. We felt like we were close enough to everything we wanted to do, but still had a quiet peaceful mountain presence. Cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed. Owner was very nice and quick to respond to any questions we had. Can’t wait to go back in the winter!

Great property and location
Great property and location! Wish they had a propane bbq but we managed. The deck is not as large as it looks in the photos but again it was okay- would highly recommend this property and hope we can stay again next year!

Lovely and relaxing
We very much enjoyed our time at Ridgeview Lodge. The kids loved having their own areas, my wife and I played a lot of pool (poorly), and we had some great quality family time hanging out and watching movies by the roaring fire.

Gorgeous views and spacious
The photos of this home do not do it justice. It's more spacious than they show. It is a beautiful home with plenty of space. Modern kitchen, great entertainment with multiple TVs, games, books, magazines and movies. Lots of places to curl up. The hit of the weekend besides the skiing was the awesome pool table. Great fireplace with plenty of wood and comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and things like foil and sone spices. Steep staircase down to the house and then up again to most of the bedrooms. Plenty of parking.

Excellent cabin for a large group
Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! We had a group of 12 people, and everyone had plenty of space. Proximity to Dodge Ridge, beautiful views over the forest, fireplace with a lot of firewood provided by the owners, a large dining room table, a pool (billiards) table and good showers with strong water pressure definitely set this cabin apart. Keep in mind that Internet is both slow and limited, so can't really plan on doing much work while at the cabin. But otherwise - an excellent accommodation - this was our second stay here, and we've already booked a return trip!

Awesome cabin!
We stay here every year. It’s a wonderful cabin for a big group. Very comfortable. Open living areas, beautiful view and cozy bedrooms. Correspondence with the owner was very friendly. Only downside would be that in Pinecrest area you have to bring all your own linens, towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. But that seems to be universal in the area. Overall, this is a great place to rent.
