A beautiful time at the cabin! Clean, quaint, and great location. Close to hiking trails (Fallison Lake was gorgeous), Heart of the Vilas bike trail, restaurants, and grocery store. Larry was helpful, kind, and generous. An all around great trip. This cozy cabin was a big part in making it so.

Larry was a wonderful host! Tha cabin and the property was everything we were looking for! Close to a lot of adventures and yet a quiet place to come home too!! We also loved the wildlife that visited in the morning!

Really enjoyed our week stay here. They have beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. We loved being on Big St. The fishing was fun even though we were unsuccessful in bringing home a wall hanger. Larry was a great host. Thank you for allowing us to share your little piece of Heaven! Was a great location for our honeymoon.

Had a great stay at Larry’s cabin. The cabin was clean and welcoming. We weren’t there much as we spent our days in Minocqua for a hockey camp. The cabin was exactly what you’d expect for an Up North Cabin. The views were amazing! My only disappointment was the lake- I was hoping to swim after hockey practice. But Larry was honest and informed us the lake has a problem with swimmers itch. He told us how to take care of it, but I didn’t want to risk it. Hopefully that’s only an issue this season. There were lots of boats out for fishing so I’m assuming the fish were biting if you are looking for a fishing cabin. Overall a very nice place to stay. Larry was easy to connect with and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend for a fishing group or a quiet getaway!

We had a great time, place was very clean & the host was friendly. I enjoyed waking up the the lake front views everyday. Also on another note this would be a great option for renting out two cabins for family. You can get space but also be right next to each other for the same price as a big rental in the area. Overall was a pleasant experience. We as a family would stay again.

Perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Larry was a great host. Our rental was clean and charming. Well appointed with the basics and no clutter. The lake view is beautiful and well worth getting up early to go to the end of the dock to see the sunrise and all the eagles! We enjoyed meeting the other guests around the camp fire. The location offers the perfect combo of peaceful privacy that’s just a less than 10 minute drive to town.

Scenic, cozy, quiet, convenient and comfortable. Great cabin in a great location in a great area. Beautiful lakefront cabin close to all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities. Highly recommended!

Loved the cabin, it was adorable and SO clean. Larry is an incredible host, I think I get to call him my "friend" after a week. This is a great getaway, even better than advertised.

The cabin we stayed in was adorable. Love having the lake right there. Enjoyed the fire every night and enjoyed my coffee in the morning by the lake.

Awesome place to stay for a family of 4. Direct access to the lake with a pier to park the boat.

Beautiful view and convenient location

Great cabin, on the lake, located close to Eagle River, Sayner, Boulder Junction and Minocqua. Enjoy eagles, loons, swimming, fishing, boating, biking, great restaurants and a whole host of other activities. Fantastic views, sunrises, sunsets, quiet, serene ... when you’re imagining getting away, this is what you’re imagining.

Outdoor space was fantastic - yard, picnic tables, fire pit, grill. We used that for most of our meals because the weather was perfect for it. House was small, but as described and just right for our visit and family of 4. The screens / window sills hadn't been vacuumed in awhile! Larry was helpful in answering questions.

This was a perfect place to disconnect and relax. Larry was great, before getting there he was very helpful and his response were really quick, and when got to the cabin he was there to greet us and gave us great tips and recommendations, and on top of that he had some treats too. Me, my wife and our two daughters (7 and 11) had time to relax, grill, fish, went to the zoo, go-karts, bumper boats, mini-golf, beach and even got some nice drinks in a local distillery. Only regrets is that we only stay 5 days. Hope to visit again!

Very clean, great property, good location to town. The water was very sandy and shallow - great for swimming.

We had a great time staying here. Having access to the dock and lake made for a very relaxing time. The fishing was great! The cabins are cozy and very clean. This is our second time staying here and will return again.

Cottage was as described. We had a really good time and the location is excellent. The check in process was smooth as was pre-arrival communication with the owner.

Larry was more than helpful upon arrival and during the week. Cabins were very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Great access at dock and waterfront.

We loved this cottage on Big St Germain Lake. Larry was a great host, the cottage was in a great location and we plan on coming back.

Larry was great! He was there to greet us and show us around the cabin. Pictures depic the interior well. New bathroom and most walls were redone the old log cabin way. Very pretty and cozy. New appliances too! Plenty of towels, wash cloths, paper towels, toilet paper and Larry said to holler if we needed anything! Lots of well screened windows for the lake breezes coming through. Nice 🔥� pit area with plenty of seating. New pier and sandy bottom for little kids. Shallow water, so no jumping off the pier. We don’t fish 🐠� so can’t comment on that but lots of fishing boats were on the lake. Lake looks clean and clear! Plenty of great trails around that we took advantage of, even the road the cabin is on, was great for walking. Lots of choices when it comes to restaurants! Rental places for bikes, ATV’s, etc are close by too. The cabin is small, so large families might take a pass. Just an FYI, The furniture in the living room holds three people, then floor sitting. Same in the porch - a writing desk and a small couch for two. The furniture is clean, but meant for small spaces. My recommendations are a new coffee pot, pumps on the doors so they don’t slam shut, and although the pillows & bedding were clean, they definitely need an upgrade.

This cabin definitely provides you with the feeling of "getting away." It is neat, comfortable and clean with most supplies and gadgets you would need. The kitchen is adorable and has new appliances; the bathroom is updated nicely as well. There is plenty of space around the cabin to enjoy the outdoors; a fire pit and a couple of boats are provided for use. Bike trails are close by and easily accessed from the cabin. From the lakefront there were many ducks and a couple of eagles to watch daily! The location is ideal as there are many restaurants and supper clubs nearby, and it is a short trip into St. Germain or even Minocqua. I would definitely recommend this property!

It was nice quiet place which I liked a lot. Nice pier for boat. Downfall there was 4 of us one left a day earlier than planned. Due to conditions. First day we ran out of toilet paper, had to go to store buy some more. They only provided one towel and washcloth per person for our entire stay. Wish we knew about that a head of our stay. For we Again had to go to store buy towels for we didn’t want to spend time at the laundromat. I personally prefer a fire pit that was just for us to use. Instead of one that was used by everyone. No boat launch on the property. Even though there is a boat launch about 200 yards away. I would of like to know that information ahead of time. I would like coming up by myself or with children which makes it difficult to launch the boat when your the only one that can drive. Our stay was very hot and humid, with no air-conditioning made it very uncomfortable even at night when you’re trying to sleep. You were sweating a lot. There was only one fan which did not help very much. There were no extra sheets or pillowcases to change out because of the sweat ended up sleeping in the same old sweaty sheets night after night. I suggest bringing your own pillows if you go here for the pillows are very flat and uncomfortable. That’s just not my opinion. I was told this was his first year in business of renting out cabins and this can be a learning curve. We would come back if some of these changes were made.

Cabin and property were very clean and Larry was very kind! Loved seeing the deer and eagles and listening to the loons!

Larry has decorated the cabins in a very appealing way. The wall hangings are very professional photos of the property and add a personal touch. Included were dish soap and toiletries. He even had muffins for us on arrival and offered smores at a campfire. The location is right on the water and the pier is new. Thanks Larry

Perfect location, beautiful scenery, great host. From the personalized welcome card to the campfires at night, everything was great. The lake is beautiful and you’re literally 20 steps away from the water. Larry is such a down to earth person and so easy to get along with. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly, highly recommend this cabin.
