We had a wonderful weekend staying at the cottage - such a beautiful house, with perfect indoor/outdoor space for all the family. The property is very well equipped, with incredible views and immaculate. Safe and well enclosed for our children. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!!

A very clean and beautiful cottage with stunning views and a lovely garden. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds very comfy and the cottage decor is lovely. Owner very helpful with queries, would come back over and over again! We stayed as a wedding party, the cottage was perfect for what we needed.

We hired the cottage for a week and we were very impressed with the cottage and its locality. It is a 5 bed-roomed cottage and is very well equipped with everything that you would need. The cottage is very well decorated, with lovely wooden floors and beautiful furniture in the rooms.The location just outside Hexham town is beautiful. We enjoyed the garden and the local bird-life. I would recommend the cottage to anyone.

Excellent. The best holiday rental we have used Our party guests are on about booking it next year for their birthday/ get together They have though of everything you could need x even made a cake which was scoffed .Thanks so much ,and the effort to keep this place the way it is must be a lot 🤗✅

Had a lovely time in this well equipped, spacious cottage. Comfortably seated us all at the huge kitchen table. Lovely location close enough to walk into Hexham but surrounded by fields which were visited by deer during our stay.

Absolutely perfect, lots and lots of space. Simply idyllic with all the amenities needed. Was visiting family in the area from Miami, Fl and really took me back to my childhood of the English Countryside and a perfect jumping spot to visit the east coast, the west coast as well as a day trip to Scotland. Absolutely loved the serenity and privacy of this place. Would absolutely recommend it THANK YOU and the host Mark answered questions within minutes thank you again. Will be back!

Well equipped kitchen. Great kitchen/diner. Plenty parking. Very peaceful and quiet but within walking distance of Hexham town centre. Fabulous walking area. Key safe was stiff and difficult to close. Fabulous view from double bedroom upstairs but bed is only a small double so not suitable for two adults, but everything else excellent.

Orchard Cottage is a very comfortable, well equipped property. 9 of us and 1 dog stayed and we had plenty of room. Beds are very comfy and the countryside views are lush. The Alpaca farm nearby was a bonus too x

A beautiful, spacious, rural property within walking distance of Hexham. Had a fantastic Christmas themed weekend with friends and a lovely walk into Hexham. The property is so well equipped there was nothing we couldn’t find.

A lovely house, very spacious, clean and perfectly equipped. Ideally situated for Hexham and all local attractions. We stayed as a group of friends and all agreed that we would happily return.

There were 7 off us staying in the property for the weekend. The layout, decor, provisions etc were brilliant. The added extra of a homemade cake to arrive to was a lovely thought, and enjoyed after our journeys with a cuppa.

We had the best time in this beautiful cottage. It was comfortable, clean and very welcoming.

Fabulous cottage set away from the road by several hundred yards and hidden from view down a tree-lined driveway. Very well appointed. We were six people and had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully kitted out and there was even a barbecue grill with charcoal and tools provided. We never ran out of hot water for showers etc. , Towels and linens were all there. Rooms are spacious and clean. The master and the kitchen-diner and living room all look out through French doors over the meadows down towards Hexham which is a 20 walk or short drive away. Easy reach of many large supermarkets if needed and attractions such as Hadrians wall are again a short drive away, 20-30 minutes. Alnwick and Bamburgh are an hour away. Peaceful setting. Great communication with Mark. Easy check in and out, just leave the key in the lockbox. Also we were greeted with a freshly made jam sponge and milk and tea and coffee were on hand for us to have a cuppa! I highly recommend this lovely cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The location of the cottage is a short drive from the busy town of Hexham which has all the amenities that you could want. The cottage was set off the main road amongst the fields so this meant that there was very little road noise and is very tranquil. The cottage itself was more than we expected, the layout is perfect and there was everything we could ask for or need to make it a home from home stay. The homemade cake was delicious and having tea, coffee and milk there for when we arrived was ideal. A previous review stated that the garden wasn't secure for dogs so our group took some dog ground spikes and a long line that we positioned in the hedge line so the 11 month old terrier could still have a good wander and sniff amongst the shrubs and hedges whilst we weren't outside but the majority of the time both dogs were off lead and free to explore as the garden wraps around the property. There were sheep in the joining field but this really wasn't an issue for the dogs and the humans enjoyed listening to the various conversations the sheep seemed to be having. All three generations of our party had a fantastic stay and will recommend a stay here to our friends.

Myself and my friends had a really lovely week-long stay at this property. Everything was just as expected from the pictures (I would even say the pictures don't do it justice!) and it was the perfect place for us to have a relaxing holiday. Owners were very helpful and it was great to feel that we were able to stretch out and have our privacy. A really lovely touch was the home-made Victoria sponge that was sitting on the counter waiting for us when we arrived, we enjoyed every last bit of it after the long drive - thank you again!

The rental process was very straightforward with the right amount of communication with the owner. The property description was accurate, it was exceptionally well equipped for the needs of a family of 10. Lots to do in the surrounding area. We had the added bonus if great weather. Only one wee niggle, although the cottage is pet friendly, the garden is not secure, so worth noting if you are visiting with a pet as there are sheep next door! I would highly recommend this property.

Everything we could have wanted in the house to make for a very pleasant stay. We had two lots of family stay with us over the 8 days and the washing machine and dryer were fantastic. Lots of space and things to do in the area. Also a fabulous welcome cake was delicious

However, we called the owner and he was quick to direct us to the correct place. Hexham centre is a short distance away, but not a great walk for elderly or infirm as the hills are quite steep. There is a lovely Alpaca farm a 5 minute walk away, and they host guided walks with the animals. When we arrived at the property we were greeted with a lovely homemade cake, a nice welcoming touch. The cleaning essentials were stocked, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. The garden area is well kept over looking a field of sheep, which surprisingly was not smelly! The views from the upstairs bedrooms are beautiful, and you really could be anywhere. The setup of the kitchen/diner is ideal for keeping everyone inclusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

We stayed here as a group of friends for an astronomy event in Kielder. The cottage was absolutely perfect for out needs, and reasonably priced. It is very well stocked with cookware etc, and all our needs were taken care of. The owner is very communicative and accommodating, would love to stay again.

What a lovely property - the house and its location were perfect for our stay and we all loved it. The rooms were all beautifully decorated with plenty of storage in the bedrooms and the kitchen was very well appointed with everything you would need for cooking - even baking, barbeques and picnics - and is a perfect focal point for meals and socialising. The house is big enough for families to be together and still have their own space and the 2 bathrooms and downstairs washroom were very much appreciated! We loved the countryside location and the views over the surrounding fields and down the valley towards Hexham were delightful. A perfect holiday home from home location and we are very much looking forward to planning our next stay.

Orchard Cottage is in a fantastic location, very quite and private yet close to Hexham for any shopping or dining out. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped and perfect for self catering.

Group of mature ladies, we all really enjoyed our time at Orchard cottage, which had everything we needed.😊
