Absolutely stunning setting on Penobscot Bay! Water on two sides of the property and a view from the living room that encompassed about 230 degrees. Clear night allowed full view of the Milky Way. The setting is as quiet as it is beautiful, the house set up worked well for our son’s family of four and one set of grandparents. Our host was superbly responsive. . We will plan to return at some point in the future.

Such a lovely home. Very spacious, clean and amazing views. The sunsets were breathtaking. We will definitely come again.

This property is absolutely stunning, beyond description in its location, placement, and the enthralling bay/ocean views, the huge amount of rocky beach to explore...with a private island...with a bald eagle nest. We did not turn the TV on once, opting instead to simply be quiet and look out the windows and be outside, the pristine shore of the Sears Island Reserve right there, almost no houses in sight for miles. This is a magnificent, truly unique location, absolutely perfect for isolation, peace, tranquility, just lovely. Bring binoculars and your telescope, if you have one.
That being said, note a few things in the listing that are not accurate. And this is after notifying the property manager of the inaccuracies. The Amenities list says "housekeeper included." There is no housekeeper available. The Amenities list also says, under Pool & Spa, that there is a "spa whirlpool." Again, no. There is no pool, no spa, no whirlpool, no hot tub. The house itself does not even offer a bathtub.
We loved the house, warm, spacious, very comfortable in all ways.

Our family enjoyed walking on the beach and watching the tide come and go. Lovely place, house has all that we needed.

The location, view, house were all wonderful. There were several things that could be improved: Master shower was moldy and needed cleaning or recaulking, front door lock was complicated and we were unable to get in one night although manager arrived within minutes to let us in and suggested we leave the house unlocked when we left, although instructions were followed we could not get any of the tvs to work, kitchen pitcher was cracked and needs to be replaced, the patch to the shore had very unstable railing making it difficult to maneuver down to the water especially for seniors, we did not realize here was no upstairs bathroom making it difficult for anyone sleeping up there needing to go to the bathroom during the night.

This is a beautiful, extremely private property that has become very special to our family! The views are unbeatable, and the playset is a wonderful option for our grandson. We hope to return!

My Happy Place!
I love this home! The architectural details show off the ocean views in an open floor plan that is cozy for two people or spacious enough for a large group. It would be nice if the two showers were retiled, but they were very clean and the fluffy white towels quickly put me back into my happy place. We enjoyed the large green grass lawn, we walked to the island, and enjoyed outings in Camden, Belfast, Searsport, & BarHarbor/Acadia National Park. “The Club” at Stockton Springs Marina makes good drinks & has a small sit down restaurant that is nice too. Many places are closed Sunday thru Wednesday, but you can always find a place to eat. Relaxed and enjoyed the sounds of birds, the majestic Eagle, deer, porcupine, & two wild turkeys that seem to live in the front yard of a house as you drive toward Main Street. I recommend this house and hope to come back again. Thank you for sharing your home!

A Magical Experience
There is nothing more that we can say that hasn’t already been said! Amazing rental experience from the moment you walk in the door! Jillian is very helpful with everything… the only problem for us was that we ran out of time!!!! The island was a great family adventure and the ocean did not disappoint with its gifts!! We will definitely be back!!!

Peaceful Retreat
We loved our stay at Jillian's home. This is most well appointed and stocked rental I have stayed in - everything you need is there and nothing is rental quality. It's a beautiful location and we had no trouble finding restaurants and stores within a reasonable distance.

Quiet and relaxing
We had a great week here! If you’re looking for rest and relaxation as we were, this is perfect! It was shocking how completely quiet it was all the time—just sounds of nature. The views are just as everyone said…stunning! Whether you’re on the deck, in the yard, or in one of the comfy indoor chairs, all you see is water. (And occasionally a porcupine walking around the yard…he seemed to live in a nearby tree and was completely uninterested in us.) This property is beautifully maintained inside and out. You can’t see any other houses from the property and it’s a dirt road leading to the paved driveway, so it is remote. But it was just 20 minutes or so to an area with a grocery store. Restaurants and shops seemed to be closed on varying days…anytime from Sunday-Wed. We never did figure that out but I assume it was because we were there in the off-season. Didn’t matter—we always found someplace open. I don’t remember if it was shown in photos but if you have small kids, there is a nice playset in the yard…swings, slide, etc. We drove 5 minutes to Ft. Point state park (with lighthouse) to watch a full moon rise over the water to the east, then watched it (and the sun) set over the water to the west from the deck of the house. We loved this house and were able to relax and recharge here just as we’d hoped!

Incredible views!
My family spent a week at the property as our last hurrah of the summer - it was wonderful! The property was perfection...incredible coastal views, large lawn to run around on, playground for the kiddos, and an island you can walk to during low tide. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of different activities to do in the area, but also plenty to do right on the property. Hope to come back next summer!

Breathtaking Views
A beautiful spacious light filled home with the most amazing oceanfront views. Loved watching all the different animals right outside. From tide pool creatures to seals chasing fish and the Bald Eagle that nests on the island just a walk away during low tide.

Wonderful getaway to a great location!
Jillian's property was fabulous. The location is wonderful with lots of opportunity for exquisite sunsets and wildlife sighting from her 180 degree views - hard to do it justice with listing pictures. And the grounds are beautifully maintained with an expansive lawn and lovely gardens, lots of which were in bloom while we were there. There's an amazing rhododendron out front that was absolutely bursting with flowers.
The house itself is airy, open and bright with a large open kitchen/living-room/dining room and lots of comfortable seating. The kitchen is well equipped. The loft area has a large desk set up for anyone needing work space.
Our party included my husband and me and another couple sharing the house for the first part of our stay. After our friends left our two grown children joined us for the last few days. The house was just perfect for us.
This was one of only two family excursions we've taken since the pandemic hit, and we arrived to a property that was very clean, with obvious considerations and extra care given to cleaning. We felt very safe.
Jillian was quite responsive to our questions all along the way, and very helpful.
We are already planning for our return next year!
Thanks, Jillian

One of the most private and beautiful properties in Maine
Enjoyed ever minute of our stay! Explored the private beaches and island with our daughters collecting sea glass and shells. Hours spent looking at the breathtaking view while the children played in the lawn and on the jungle gym. Grilled outside everyday and kept warm by the massive fire place. My family and I hope to revist for years to come.

Great pandemic escape!
We couldn't have been happier with this home! The views of the ocean from the house were what attracted us and they were only better once we were actually inside. Jillian was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay of 4 nights. We loved walking to the island, watching the tides come and go and exploring the nearby State Parks in the dead of winter.

Relaxing new year with family
Our family of four enjoyed the views and outdoor activities (pulling kids in sleds, walking the beach) as we relaxed and marked the turning of the new year.

Best Home On Maine Coast
Most beautiful home on the Maine Coast. Very nice property, including the accessible private island at low tide. Views from all rooms are astonishing, even during downpours! Close to live "Lobstah" tanks ($7.99 each!) at little grocery store. Only an hour ten minutes to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National park, but after a couple of days sightseeing you will want to just "hang" at your home and eat "lobstah" all day long! My only knock on this beautiful home was she didn't have Champagne glasses to go with all her other glassware. Small detail ,that doesn't detract from our experience at this beautiful property.

A PERFECT RETREAT
spent a week at this amazing estate with my wife and we could not have been happier. we were blown away by the secluded location surrounded by nature. The property is huge and the private tidal island is insanely magical. We were able to time a low-tide walk out to the island and could not believe how BIG and far the island went. was a breathtaking and humbling experience to explore this truly untouched piece of the world... and have it all to ourselves. right across the bay / ocean in your private backyard is another amazing and off the beaten path nature persevere island that we explored one day too, just a 15min drive from the estate we walked around the rather large island shore that has additional trails in its interior.
the actual house is a perfectly authentic new england estate and VERY true to the description and pictures, BUT even better in person and had everything we needed to feel like home. everything was so CLEAN and well thought-out. the details of this custom house were SO charming.
we wish we booked an extra week and can’t wait to be back! this is a very special house in an awesome part of maine and was in a great location to be able to drive to the other tourist areas and acadia when we wanted..... but, after visiting acadia we realized the estates backyard was equally as beautiful and majestic ... and more untouched than any natural wonder in acadia!

EXTRAORDINARY STAY
My family and I had an amazing stay at Jillian's lovely home by the ocean. We were looking for a mini getaway from all the stresses of the city and came across this property. It was absolutely what we needed and we ended up staying on the property for 2 weeks - seems like a lot, but trust me, it was totally worth it. Jillian answered all of our questions regarding groceries and activities and was very patient with us. We definitely want to book another stay here soon. Thank you Jillian, for such a wonderful and peaceful experience. ❤️

Maine-mories
Upon arriving you are greeted by a winding driveway shaded by dense forest. You suddenly catch a glimpse of the white adirondack chairs and as the property slowly comes into full view, so does the breathtaking expanse of mountains blending into the ocean horizon...You have arrived at Rocky Point.
From sun up to sun down you will find yourself staring endlessly at the beauty that surrounds Rocky Point. It is a quiet place with endless opportunities to sit back, relax and enjoy spending time with your family. The yard is so big that the boys can throw the football without bothering the girls playing soccer. Arrange a scavenger hunt during low-tide on your own private island oasis or walk along the rocky shore to see what treasures the tides have brought you. You can also visit Jillian and have some quality family fun at, "The Playground at Stockton Harbor!
Jillian's home has the most amazing cozy, cottage feel. The architecture and decor are something you'd find gracing the pages of a coastal magazine. The large and very charming, open concept kitchen, dining and living area are designed to embody relaxation and conversation. The kitchen served all of our needs and had everything one would need for meal prep. Our mornings were spent breathing in the ocean air and watching Eagles and other wildlife from the nautical inspired bench that runs the full length of the sitting area (our favorite family gathering spot.).
Jillian's home is a reflection of her personality, warm and inviting.
This is evident in every detail. From the way she helped us with scheduling accommodations, to the crispy clean sheets, super comfy beds/ furniture and well-manicured lawn. Rocky Point is a serene sanctuary where you can unwind and catch-up with friends and family and, as my daughter likes to say...make "Mainemories!"
Thanks for everything Jillian
