Diese gemütliche, charmante und sonnige 3.5-Zimmerwohnung befindet sich im Obergeschoss eines Berner Chalets und ist vollständig ausgestattet. Vom Balkon aus bietet es eine traumhafte Panoramasicht auf den Thunersee, die gesamte Alpenbergkette und das Schloss Oberhofen.
Die auf der Sonnenseite des Thunersees gelegene Wohnung liegt optimal um die Bergwelt, das Berner Oberland und die Region zu erkunden. Auch Bern, Luzern, Interlaken, Montreux, Zermatt und Gstaad sind für einen Tagesausflug perfekt erreichbar.
Die Umgebung bietet unzählige Möglichkeiten um Sport zu treiben, die Seele baumeln zu lassen, Spaziergänge wie auch Wanderungen zu unternehmen und sich kulinarisch zu verwöhnen.
Die Wohnung hat zwei Schlafzimmer. Das Schlafzimmer Nr. 1 verfügt über zwei Einzelbetten, einen Einbauschrank und eine unvergessliche Sicht auf den See und die Bergwelt. Das Schlafzimmer Nr. 2 hat ein Doppelbett und ist mit einem grossen Schrank ausgestattet. Wenn Sie mit Kindern unter 2 Jahren reisen möchten, lassen Sie es uns wissen und wir stellen Ihnen ein Kinderbett zur Verfügung.
In der top eingerichteten Küche mit Granitabdeckung finden Sie alles wichtige: Kühlschrank, Backofen, Herd, Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine, etc.

It was an amazing property with a great view. You could walk right down to the waterfront and several restaurants. It was extremely clean and well-maintained. There was parking on site. The only drawback was that it did not have a washer and dryer, which seemed to be advertised in the Listing. The owner seemed genuinely surprised by this and it was not a major issue. Overall, I would highly recommend this property.

Pictures do not do justice for how beautiful the view and how quiet this place is. We have been touring around Europe with my family and this was by far our favorite place. Host was so kind and made the check in/check out process very easy. Would recommend to anyone.

We had an exceptional stay in this beautiful chalet overlooking Lake Thun. The apartment is on a top floor of the host’s residence, and Peter graciously met us to provide the key, show us the apartment, and provide instructions. A mere description of the view does not do it justice – even the photos you will see with this property listing will not prepare you for the incredible beauty seen from the balcony of this home. You’ll just have to experience it yourself! Because the very friendly hosts live on site, they obviously take great pride in their home and in this apartment and it shows. Everything was thoughtfully laid out and decorated. The kitchen is small but extremely efficient, and the beds are comfortable. There is plenty of storage for your clothing and luggage in both of the bedrooms. The apartment is located in a lovely residential area and it’s a short walk to a grocery store and a couple of restaurants. There is a parking spot in front of the home available by request, and this was very convenient for us as we were traveling by car. This beautiful property was the perfect base for our exploration around the area and to experience the Jungfraujoch. We would definitely stay here again.

Great view and a comfortable apartment
In a way this is a typical Swiss Chalet - facing magnificent mountains, with a view of a distinctly pretty castle or 'schloss' and with a lovely, responsive host who lives on the bottom floor. The inside was a welcome surprise - a very modern and well-equipped kitchen provided all that's needed to cook well, and a front terrace to enjoy the view with a cup of tea or coffee.

Oberhofen Adventure
Our recent stay at Chalet Oberhofen exceeded our expectations. We were late arriving due to the closure of the mountain pass that we had chosen to use as there was a bike rally. Peter was most accomodating and even gave us directions to the nearest pizza place for a late supper. The view from the balcony overlooking the Thunersee was fabulous and the apartment most comfortable. For our purposes of exploring the area, it couldn't have been better. The only cautionary remark that I could include would be that the chalet is not mobility-impaired friendly due to the steep climb from the parking area to the house and the stairs to get to the apartment. That being said, we can't say enough about the warm welcome we received from Peter and his wife.

Homelike Swiss chalet in charming lakeside village in a magnificent Alpine mountain setting.
The view from our chalet apartment balcony was huuuge, stunning, beautiful, and an ever- changing panorama of Lake Thun and the Alps.
We loved Oberhofen town and castle (great restaurant). Grocery store, bakery (with coffee), tea room, sundries store, funky bar 'Pier 17' at the lake steamer dock, bank/atm, all within a ten minute walk...faster downhill, slower uphill.
Peter and family are friendly, welcoming, helpful hosts. We would recommend their chalet apartment to anyone at any time of year.

Amazing place & location
We were staying for a few days in Oberhofen and couldn’t have been any happier with this wonderful place. Location is perfect in a quiet street only minutes (walk) away from the Castle, restaurants, waterfront, the bus stop and stores. The place itself is spacious and modern and offers the most amazing views of the Oberhofen Castle and the mountains.
Peter is a wonderful host and makes you feel welcome at his beautiful home. He lives right on property which is great if you have any questions. He couldn’t have been any more helpful with his assistance and information provided prior to our arrival. He is prompt with replying and makes communication very easy.
We enjoyed Oberhofen very much and I know that our choice of property was a huge reason for that as well. Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay!

Modern second floor apartment with fantastic view of Lake Thun and the Alps from the Balcony
Wonderful place to stay near Thun! Very clean and modern 2 bedroom apartment just a 2 minute walk to the water's edge and several excellent restaurants. Also within a several minute walk to the grocery store. If you are planning a trip to the Thun - Interlaken area of Switzerland, this is the place to stay not only for the convenience of the location making for short day trips to the surrounding attractions, but the breathtaking views from the apartments balcony. We arrived at Peters house with a slight amount of apprehension, as there were no previous reviews of his home on VRBO. We were blown away when we first saw the gorgeous house. Peter was so friendly and hospitable throughout the stay. We are a family of five, and Peter provided an extra bed for our third child. The house was extremely clean and neat. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were well stocked with anything we could have anticipated needing. The beds were very comfortable with fresh-smelling linens and comfortable pillows.The views out of the windows and off of the balcony were beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed sipping wine and watching the sun set over the mountains and lake. The location of the house is very convenient, as the town it is nestled in is host to multiple cute restaurants, shops, and a lake for swimming in. Interlaken and Thun are very easily accessible from Oberhoffen by ferry or bus. We would highly recommend Peters home to everyone looking for a clean, beautiful, and welcoming place to stay in Switzerland. We cant thank Peter enough for his kind hospitality.
