We made a last minute booking due to bad weather conditions. This was the only hotel available and we were very grateful for a place to stay indoors. We seemed to be the only guests and they kept the kitchen open just for us. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The restaurant (dinner) was excellent. They offered us a place to dry our tent.
The owner of the hotel seems to live far away, or doesn't care about details. Although the rooms are well appointed, many small things are not as they should be (especially given the price of ~EUR 200/ night). Examples: the clock in the room was on winter time, the battery in the scales had died, covid measures were still advertised etc. We also felt uncomfortable 4 people were swarming our table (sometimes at the same time) serving us at dinner. Especially since we were the only guests. At breakfast (EUR 29 per person) we got orange juice from a carton and initially cold coffee. Did they really put the scrambled eggs in the microwave instead of a skillet?

Basically - nothing
We had a terrible room facing the parking and not the lake.
The toilet window was facing the logistics trucks.
There is no air conditioning in the hotel and we melted in the heat.
There is no internet in the area and the Wi-fi was as slow as a snail.
We booked for 2 nights and ran away after 1 night, even though they refused to refund us.

Hotel nicely renovated, beautiful view from the room
Very good quality food in the Michelin star restaurant - excellent wine recommendation
The information on activities around the location was unclear
The breakfast was below standard for the type of hotel ( the scrambled eggs were clearly made from an industrial preparation and looked like a yellow soup )

Everything was great! From room to Michelin level restaurant, from location to great personal. Highly recommend as the best hotel in French Alps!

My dog and I were not allowed in the breakfast room.

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff at the restaurant were very accommodating from an allergy standpoint - thank you.
there was nothing, maybe to had BBC news channel, understandably most stations were in French. But there was nothing to fault our stay.

Exceptional view on the Alps (Mont Blanc Massif)
Very caring service
Comfortable - homey - rooms
very good quality / price gastronomic restaurant
next door to the famous Colomby de Gex hike
quite difficult to reach, unless you're staying in the neighborhood
But the combined stay-restaurant experience is worth the detour/voyage

The ensuite room was really nicely done, with a view to the outside from both rooms. Because of a snowstorm, we weren't going to be using the balcony, and the view was only of trees, not the front facing one, so it could have been amazing if we had that view. But the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was really nice and there was coffee and tea and sweets in the room when we arrived. The property is relatively new, and therefore everything works nicely and it exceeded expectations.
Breakfast was good quality, but relatively simple for the price. In the midst of a snowstorm, and on top of a mountain, there was no other choice, so we got this breakfast.

The view from the front of the hotel is fantastic. The bed was comfortable, and the quality of food was good. Reception staff were excellent. Dining room staff were let down by the speed of the kitchen. Breakfast staff were able to produce meusli on request.
We were very disappointed that the atmosphere of an olde world and interesting establishment had completely gone following re-vamping two years ago (as we understand it). Its now trying to be an up-market hotel capitalising on its fantastic position. The bedroom had just one tiny window in the corner of the room, the bathroom was good size with a double window. Dinner took 2 hours for one course, we had to abandon our wait for a dessert. Breakfast (buffet) was expensive (29 Euro each) though fruit juice was freshly pressed, and the Pain au Chocolat was excellent. Scrambled eggs were tired. Coffee machine in the room didn't work.

We had an excellent room with a view. The bathroom was enormous (but cold, we could not get the heat to come on). The bed was wonderful and the general decor was very well done.
The bar at the hotel is tiny and is served by staff working in the restaurant, making service a bit slow. The breakfast was expensive, but well done with the exception of the curiously runny scrambled eggs.
