We are a Group of friends that travel regularly. The pictures of the home led us to believe that it was directly on the beach instead of on top of a restaurant along a pedestrian street. Although we had a fabulous time and the place was nice, the photos are very deceptive. There is a bike shop over the garage, a bar underneath, and restaurant attached. we were led to be that there were 4 full bathrooms. But actually only 3 and 1/2 bathrooms and one of the beds was in the basement just off the garage with no windows. We specifically choose this home because it advertised 4 full bathrooms.

We have stayed here two years in a row. The location is ideal, the house is well-equipped with beach towels and toys. The roof space is amazing with fire pit, grill, fridge, corn hole and a view that cannot be beat.

If you’re looking for a pedestrian friendly spot with breathtaking views on Avila Beach, this spot cannot be beat. We enjoyed gathering in the living room and the open air with the accordion glass doors open all day long. The home was extremely comfortable with great beds and all four rooms. if I were to critique anything, it would be the living room furniture is ready for an upgrade and the bathrooms are starting to show a little bit of age. Beyond that we cannot wait to return and stay again.

Our extended family of grandparents and teens loved staying at this lovely beachfront house. We had a beautiful, sunny weekend and enjoyed splashing around in the ocean, paddleboarding with sea otters, dining at nearby restaurants and the fun, energetic vibe of Avila Beach. We enjoyed several dinners and gatherings around the firepit on the rooftop with the amazing 360 views of the beach and lush green hills. Our 80 year old family members with mobility issues were easily able to take in all the sights from the balcony. San Luis Obispo is only a 15 minute drive away which was perfect for visiting our college student at Cal Poly. The house itself provides more then ample room for 8 people with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Plus ping pong, table shuffle board and a big tv in the huge basement. The house manager, Gillian, was very helpful and responsive, and went above and beyond if we needed anything.

Very Nice - Very Large - Love Avila! What's not to like?

The property was just lovely and the location was ideal: steps from the beach with great views, close to restaurants and in the midst of a fun, bustling scene. We loved people watching on the beach and enjoying the happy diners at the restaurants below our second floor deck. The rooftop space was amazing (f windy during the stay) and we can't wait to come back again.

Place was awesome

The adults were happy about the proximity to restaurants, and the children were happy about the proximity of the beach!

1. Super expensive rental but the master toilet had issues. Not what I would expect from a high end rental. You couldn't flush it normally otherwise it would run endlessly. I had to take the top off the toilet and manually fix it able 10 times. I raised the issue to them and someone came over. Basically said we can't flush it normally and did nothing. 2. The rental agreement is not professional. It states loads of rules, fines and the tone not fitting for the hospitality industry or really any industry. It made me uncomfortable for the whole trip. It was shared Less than two weeks before a Christmas trip. They offered to let me out of the reservation. I spent about a decade working in contract compliance, so I was pretty uncomfortable with the horrific state of the agreement and what I was forced to sign. it was not standard. It's a Frankenstein agreement that somebody has added to probably over a decade plus that has become 10+ pages. 3. Loads of spiders in the home. They need to increase maintenance. Many were in plan view. 4. Property had an elevator but it was not reliable. We had planned to host Christmas but had to cancel plans and change the location to my grandmothers home. She's 100 years old and can't do the stairs anymore. Again o called someone they came over right away but we could never get the elevator working again. I didn't trust it at that point either.

We loved our stay here. The rooftop deck is the best. Lots of fun hours spent up there and down in the basement with the games and great tv. Will definitely come again!

Premium location situated right across from the beach. The amenities and furnishings could use updating and didn't feel as premium as the location and the rate. We were surprised we had to purchase an incremental insurance policy, in addition to our signature on a supplemental agreement (with credit card required and right for owner to charge an unlimited amount for damages).

Perfect location, great ocean views, easy access to restaurants, shops and beach. Great setting for a memorable family Thanksgiving getaway!

Wonderful views and access to beach!

This place is perfect to enjoy the ocean views and everything Avila has to offer. We loved the the open windows on the main flow and the views from the rooftop are amazing. The house is very cozy. I would definitely return!

Avila Beach and this villa were a perfect duo. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The amenities at the villa the lovely beach views and great walking areas made it hard to leave. Plan to come back.

This has become the most wonderful Summer tradition for our family. We've already booked next year! Cannot say enough good things. If you are on the fence, do it!

We were there for my daughter's wedding in San Luis Obispo. Breathtaking view from living room and deck. Lovely home. Only drawback was the noise early in the early mornings, as there are many restaurants near getting trash picked up almost daily. Other than that it was delightful and had everything that you could need was provided.

We enjoyed another incredible stay in Avila at this beachfront property. This is our third year returning and this property and location never disappoint. Being able to easily go back and forth to the beach, shops, and fair on the boardwalk on Fridays was so convenient. The rooftop and deck off the living room make it easy to watch older children and teens go down to the shops for ice cream or run down to the beach for some fun. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen has what you need to cook at the house. Takeout is also an easy option- we did a combination of both. Thank you for all the fun and memories!!

We had a wonderful time in Avilla. Chris's house was so beautifully beachfront! The most amazing views from his decks. We've stayed in Avilla several times before, but this was the best place we've ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

This beautiful house was perfect for my family to celebrate our birthdays. Several of our family and friends rented houses in Avila to help us celebrate our birthday. The rooftop area provided a lovely space for us to gather and enjoy the sunset before dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the game room downstairs was a fun area for a ping pong tournament. We will definitely be back. This house had all we needed and more.

This is the second time we have rented the Avila Beach house, a beach I grew up on starting in 1963, 60 years ago. It was only fitting that we should be there to celebrate my 60th and my sister’s 55th with our dear mother included! We had a party of 8 which also included my husband, my niece and her husband, and another sister visiting from Georgia and her husband. The house is well maintained, and we found it to be in the same great condition it was in 4 years ago. The elevator is a huge bonus as my mom is a kidney dialysis patient. This home is large with ample space for everyone to comfortably be together or to find a nook for private time. I did leave Gillian a wish list for a few more kitchen items as our group consisted of serious foodies and cooks: salad spinner, pasta ladle, steamer to steam veggies, and an electric can opener. She said she was on it! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this beautiful house. It is a gem in a location that is near and dear to my entire family, and we once again created beautiful memories there. Thanks, Chris!

The location of this property can not be beat! We spent a long family weekend here and had a blast celebrating my 60th birthday. We had some unfortunate weather during our stay but the property manager and Chris took care of issues that arose from that. Loved that there is an elevator from the garage level. That helped my 83 year old Dad navigate the property with ease. The rooftop deck is amazing and we hope to come back for another fun family trip!

This was simply one of the best beach houses I've ever rented. We had 2 small families in our group. The house and space are top notch. Everything in person is way better than the photos. The rooftop patio is amazing. Chris met us in person due to the holiday, and gave an excellent and thoughtful walk-through, which was really appreciated. We would certainly stay again.

Beautiful and well appointed home in the most perfect location. What a magical place to celebrate Christmas. We will definitely be back.

The property was beautiful and location was perfect. The basement "bedroom" was a bit odd and though private, was a strange space. Took a few minutes to find the place, the gate was a tad difficult to find. From the photo it looked like the property was on the beach but was actually across the street. Beside's that, we loved the place; view was spectacular, incredibly warm and comfortable place. Good restaurants and coffee were literally a few steps away and the roof lounge was beautiful. We were there during the storm so did not use it but in the Spring and Summer I'm sure it's fantastic. Highly recommended!

Super nice house, wonderful location, well appointed and very solid communication & attentiveness via the owner & property manager. Our only criticism...the bedroom(s) & bathroom(s)could be a bit more dialed; relative to location, ensuite, etc. We will definitely stay again (if possible). We love Avila Beach & the surrounding central coast communities. Honestly, killer setup & excellent property - A+
