staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel location is a bit out-of-town but ok. Room was clean and hugh. Nothing I really missed. The breakfast is great and has big selection

at breakfast they had glutenfree options but couldn’t find them as the breakfast lady was in the back and I couldn’t find a bell to call her. the bed was ok. pillow a bit too soft.

The spa area, the breakfast. It is clean everywhere. The lady at the reception was nice and friendly and provided more blankets as per my request.

It was cold in the room and everywhere in the hotel. It would have been nice if someone turned the heating on before the guests arrival. Especially after visiting the spa, it is quite unpleasant to stay/sleep in a cold room.

The hotel is located in a quiet area not too far from the city center (around 10 min walk). The hotel is big and the rooms as well. You have free parking and a good included breakfast. It is silent and confortable. I would recommend for business trip or hike/bike hike trip.

Not many negative points. However it is mentioned a gym and there just a few equipments in an “ok” state. No treadmill or dumbell… Also the spa is only open in the evening and you need to book the massage quite in advance as the person is not located at the hotel at all time. The pillows are very thin and even in a double room it was 2 single rooms next to each other.

Hotel - professional and nice job during reconstruction and building works. Hotel, looks good and clean. Smolth and easy going staff. Professional care. Very clean room and restaurant. Great breakfast, served on high level. Amazing garden with herbs. A place to come back again. Congrats!

Location maybe: it is next to industrial area, but not disturbing at all. The area is silent, no too much traffic.

Very clean, incredible sauna and spa. Very friendly staff and very helpful! Very short walk into Hattingen which is a very nice town with timber framed buildings and lots of history. The hotel is very close to the railway station and the trams.

The reception staff did not want to give me the invoice for the accommodation because I had paid through Booking.com. At the end of the conversation they gave me the bill but it was a very bad time

Good location in quiet part of town but close enough to city centre to be able to walk out to restaurants in the evening. Interesting hotel, not sure what it was in a previous life but the conversion is 100% successful with light and spacious rooms and well laid out public areas. Breakfast room was very well laid out and access to the hotel's private garden was an unexpected bonus in the late afternoon. All hotel staff encountered during the stay were extremely friendly, welcoming and professional at all times, but particularly the house keeping and breakfast staff went out of their way - thank you!

We were looking forward to a leisurely breakfast on day of departure and unfortunately the coffee machine was out of order - a few cups of freshly brewed breakfast coffee before the long drive home set you up for the day nicely. Filter coffee was offered but it's just isn't the same, not the hotel's fault in any way and won't hold it against them!

Quite close to the center, very clean with a nice breakfast, free parking and (in the hotel suite) a lot of space. Fast and stable wifi internet connection. Liked the fact that we were allowed to check out one hour later than we were supposed to.

Depends on the person occupying the reception whether one feels welcomed or not. At a four star hotel you expect politeness by everyone. Or just “customer service”. This was not the case there. For example: asking information about the “Salzgrotte” the answer was “read the brochure for information”. The person in the evening was very disappointed that we didn’t want to rent sauna towels or bathing robes (5,00€ per person) and was insisting on it. I find it unacceptable as well that the sauna opens at 5 pm and closes at 10 pm. Breakfast till 9:30 o’clock is perhaps if you’re working okay. But if you are on vacation a bit too early in the morning. Bring your flashlight if you want to work out: only half of the lights on the ceiling work. A tablet is offered in the suite. It literally does nothing apart from giving you some brochure-like information that one can find in the reception area. It is supposed to change channels on the tv etc. No can do. The bar in open till 10 pm. The “Biergarten” is open “nach Bedarf”… as needed(!)
