I was placed in the wrong type of room for my first night. My jacuzzi didn’t work and wasn’t repaired. The cost didn’t necessarily equate to the experience.

I have stayed at many resorts and this by far is the WORST. I booked a rooftop suite with a jacuzzi and a king size bed. The room was mediocre at best. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary (which was information i shared ahead of my stay). When we arrived we were given a room with 2 full size double beds. When I asked why I was told that's all that was available and maybe I could switch on another day if one became available. I was invited to a "special" breakfast and then badgering about joining their "travel club". Just so you're aware if you don't join their "club" you're pretty much treated as invisible. To make matters worse the first night I wanted to use my rooftop jacuzzi there was no running water at all. I called the front desk repeatedly but got no answer.
When I asked the next day if the water gets shut off after a certain time I was told it does not and if I didn't have water I should've called!
I wish it ended there but then to make a bad situation worse when I attempted to use the "suite's" rooftop jacuzzi again the water came out a trickle at a time. I spoke with a supervisor who told me she would send maintenance to "check" it or at least confirm there was an issue with it. Surprise...no one ever came. When I inquired about getting a refund of the difference between a regular room and the jacuzzi suite since the jacuzzi didn't work I was told since I booked through a 3rd party I would have to take it up with them, despite the fact that the hotel itself charged my card. I'm surprised by the positive reviews I did see because as I said I've stayed at plenty of resorts but this by far really was the worse. NEVER AGAIN!

Rooms outdated terribly hot hot hot the restaurants aren’t fully closed in their like roofs with no siding so it’s humid and hot inside the room ac didn’t get really cold at all had to keep fan on lot of walking Nd riding as everything is spaced out will not be returning

The facilities look and feel outdated. Inside the room, some parts are very old , and even breaking down.
In the suites, the bathroom has no privacy.
The food quality is low. Most of the dishes are tasteless (kills the whole buffet experience) Only the breakfast food is tasty because, well, sugar and fats.

We are customers of Palladium in Punta Cana for a long time .
I never post négative comments on specialized sites because it is not my style.
But ..
We arrived on 4 November,the flight was alright,your welcome was friendly,the room was beautifful .
All was fine as usually in Punta Cana Palladium.
The problem began on 7th of November:after a long shiny dat we needed to have a shower but there were no towels in the room .
We phoned everywhere(réception,customer service ),everybodybsaid yes but in fact we could not have any towels …they finally arrived at 7pm(!!)
So disappointed by the service 😥
The day after,the sun was shining,the sky was blue,everything was fine …but when we arrived in our bedroom, the room was not cleaned,the bathroom was not cleaned and one more time :no towels.
Same calls,same replies ,same conséquences :room not cleaned and no towels
We were so disappointed by the service of Punta Cana Palladium 😥
It was not the hotel we have always known!
The same evening we have to go downstairs in the complete dark (just with the light of our smartphone):it was very dangerous!
And when we arrived at the restaurant (only one restaurant was opened,the Cathedral was closed !) we had to wait 25mn before sitting .
And the last day when we called for the luggage ,the answer was « yes in five minutes « ,we called another time before 30 mn waiting ,another before anoter 30 mn waiting and finally we had to get our luggage down ourselves from the 1st floor
So disappointed by Punta Cana service 😥
But perhaps our room 1098 was it cursed ??

NOTHING since the safe box in our room was stolen on the 5th Day of our vacation week, by using the master code which is supposed to be only in hotel staff hands.
BEWARE!!. At the Gran Palladium Bávaro Suits Punta Cana, 2 cell phones, Cash, a watch, 6 Credit cards and documents were stolen from the safe in our room by using the hotel's Master key. This was recorded in safe memory. However, Rooms Division Manager of the Palladium Hotel Group discouraged us from the possibility of recovering the value of objects and goods stolen. She told us that even if we managed to eprove the robbery, as we did by videocameras and records, then the Hotel has to inform their insurance company who almost never believe what the victim (the customer) has declared to the police as stolen objects.
MY RECOMMENDATIONS are two: 1. DO NOT BOOK at the Gran Palladium Punta Cana. 2. IF YOU DO IT ANYWAY, because you enjoy risk and love cancelling Credit cards, then please, declare on arrival what you are going to save in the room box. Or better yet, let your belongings to be kept in the hotel safe where they récord what you delivwr to be safe there.
Finally, what shoul be expect from 5 stars Hotel is fair play. If they are not going to response for stolen values safe at rom box, they shoud warn the customer from shuch eventos check in. I hope to recover the values. The time spent and vacation lost, they can not compensate us.

Dinner was great.
Well kept gardens.
Nothing went well, the worst stay i have ever been.
- The staff at the front desk was awfull.
- The room had broken sockets and lights didnt work,
dirty bathroom,
the remote didnt work and
the A/C also was broken.
I called the staff and they did not bother.
The hotel needs more light at the gardens,

The worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. I'm from DR and the hotel is in DR but the room has all the European connectors and it turns out that the hotel doesn't care if you stay all our stay offlined from your family and work. And the worst thing is that you are to blame. They make you buy 2 connectors in the store. One that is worth $5.00 and another of $1.00 for each device you connect, even if you want to use their coffee maker. And the worst thing is that you only use the US$1.00. After wasting my first day trying to find a solution and getting me relax that they were going to solve, almost at midnight they sent me to another room totally opposite to where my group was and with the same problem. Incredible treatment of the staff, including the manager, was ironic. As if they were doing us a favor. I don't come back and I don't recommend it.

Amazing resort with access to all 3 Grand Palladium resorts.
The gardens are beautiful, many A la carte restaurants to have dinners, huge buffet restaurants, nice pools and bars. Drinks are good in all bars, but Hemmingway is above all.
Rooms and bathrooms are huge and bed is super comfortable (medium-hard).
All villas in Bavaro are nicely located, either close to beach, pool or by some of the restaurants.
Staff is friendly and helpfull, especially house keeping ladies and people working in bars. Everyone at the bars were amazing (no matter if it was the lobby bar, pool or beach bar). They were smilling, dancing, singing...
We will definitely be back soon!!
P.S: don't miss Chic Cabaret while you are there. It was the best end for our stay, the highlight of our holiday.
Rooms would most certainly need a renovation!
You can see that the furniture and walls need some changing and fixing (in our room was a lot of water when it was heavy raining (coming from the ceiling, dripping on 1 wall and going all the way to the floor)).
For the price paid now, it is still acceptable, but I checked some dates for beginning of next year and is 3-4 times more expensive than now.
Definitely the rooms are not worth 6500-10000 euros/2 weeks (only if they would renovate them completely and change the furniture).
