The Southbank Guesthouse was comfortable and extremely good value for money. They were very accommodating with an early check-in as I was attending a funeral. The breakfast was very nice and very well presented.

There was nothing about my stay that I could write a negative comment about.

Breakfast was really good. Isabel was a great host/owner. She went above and beyond to help us with recommendations and golf tee times. The neighborhood is cute and within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Came for a race in dufftown and the proximity to everything from Elgin was great

The breakfast was excellent and served quickly and hot.

The shower head was dysfunctional didn’t spray in the required manner just sprayed backwards towards wall.You need it to spray towards the body as we had to hold it to wash ourselves. The second morning couldn’t get the water in the shower to be hot.However the water in the sink was nice and hot.

The breakfast was fine and the location was fine the food was good and the service was great !!!

Staying longer lol would have been great there was nothing not to like

Breakfast was ok and we were given options to choose from; location is quite good considering that the place is 10 minutes away from the city centre. There is private parking and the owner is friendly.

Too expensive for what you get: the place looks old and it gets humid quite easily. Rooms are tiny and there is a shared space between rooms which can get pretty noisy when neighbours are not careful with the doors (they automatically slam) or when they talk in the shared area.

I had a lovely stay at the Southbank. It was during the hot period and I was thoughtfully given a bigger and cooler room. Really liked the fruit salad for breakfast as well as the traditional breakfast. A very comfortable stay and very good value. Within walking distance of town.

Good value friendly

Nice comfortable and clean! Cozy bed and breakfast close to city center and public transport. Good placement for travelling around with public transport but they also offer parking. Good value for money with private bathrooms available. Our floor also had a tiny kitchen for the guests to use.

Great central location for Elgin. Very friendly and helpful host - even helped to secure us accommodation when our work overran. Would definately look to stay again if we are in the area.

Nothing to dislike

This was booked for my father while he visited his brother and family in Elgin. The hosts were very welcoming and showed us dad's room and explained breakfast options. Very accommodating to dad's unusual request, nothing was too much trouble. His room was massive, very clean and quiet. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay here and will definitely come again next time he is up visiting. Excellent value for money!

Very comfortable “family” room. Good location for getting to distilleries. Breakfast was excellent. Felt very cared for and the shower was awesome.

Isobel was lovely really accommodating and personable even when busy. Breakfast included was really great quality and was always made fresh to serve. Room was comfortable and quiet enough considering I was on the bottom floor next to the dining room.

Communication was lacking a little this website said check out was 11. But housekeeping came just after 10 to tell me I was checking out late. Also didn’t get a breakfast sheet for second morning so didn’t go as didn’t know if it was an option.
