Location only . It was clean
I booked Guest House for two separate dates before seeing it all prepaid. Our first stay we were put in the attic which required negotiating two very steep staircases with all our luggage. But even that room was preferable to what we had on our second stay. The second stay was awful. Upside there was only one flight of stairs but room was so small.. Bed was so hard. Slept on the folded bedlinen to attempt to make it softer.Avoid room 10. Staff were apologetic but that didn't make up for the room and lack of sleep. Bathroom was clean but like the room tiny. Like to say something nice so there was a small drink fridge and it was clean.

Location and staff were excellent. Friendly reception. It was also very helpful that we could leave our car in the carpark, even after checking out.
Room size was good
Bed was OK but we prefer a normal double bed to two single beds put together
Shower and toilet were clearly ready for an upgrade. The toilet was too high.

The staff were excellent and couldn't be better. Free parking was available. The breakfast was good and served promptly
The noise of other guests was continuous as each time someone moved above me or in rooms near me it sounded like a herd of elephants and I barely slept. It was difficult to turn the heating off as the temperature did not compare to the thermostat. The room smelt a little musty and several areas needed renovation

The room was ok.
And the bathroom was as brand new. So good 👍
I was expecting a staff member to at least come and attend to me to lead me to my room. But no one came out to help and I already had a really long day. After getting lost within the building eventually I was able to find my room.
Also,
The red old carpet on the floor makes the room feel really dated and dingy. If the carpet can be changed to wooden floors or a grey colour. This simple change will make the stay more friendly and relaxing.

unfortunately a very noisy property as it is an old building there is no sound proofing. very difficult to try and get a decent nights sleep due to squeaky flooring

The staff were polite. The bed was extra comfy!
The ceiling was slightly too low in some parts of the room, however I am quite tall!

The rooms were very clean and tea and coffee was provided, there was also a fridge in the room which was a bonus. The bathroom looked newly renovated and was very nice. The room was a nice temperature (I am always cold and this room was nice and warm which is a bonus for me). There was onsite parking which was very handy and the train station was literally just around the corner. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Lovely & clean and although I paid for a basic was upgraded to a superior with a queen size bed which was fantastic! staff very helpful and friendly.
Nothing really only thing I would say the shower in my room needs sorting as not very powerful & kept slipping down and could do with some kind of bell on reception as nobody there when myself & another lady were trying to check out but no big deal really.

Good off street parking. large comfortable bed and pillows. clean linen. very friendly and helpful staff.
TV was too small, no fan in the room, hole in back of bathroom door looks like robe hook was ripped out. corner of sink had been chipped off. it wasn’t quite as central as I thought it would be, but that’s my fault as I assumed the train station was in the centre of town. one window opener didn’t open/appeared to be broken
