Great place to be with busstop in front half hour service to Marbella

Our stay in Macdonald Leila Playa was perfect. Apartement was super clean and had everything we needed for 1 week stay with 2 kids. Kitchen was fully equipped, even for baking. Very comfortable mattresses, soft pillows, towels for both bathroom and outside swimming pool. We were not lucky with weather, it was really windy and a bit cold but we enjoyed walks by the sea, relaxing by the swimming pool and hot outside yakuzzi. Staff was very helpful and always smiling. The resort had beautiful cascade garden with palm trees and little waterfalls. Super sea views from the pool area. Buses heading to Fuengirola stop right in front of the resort, buses heading to Marbella stop across the highway. There are reastaurants, souvenir shops, pharmacy and 2 supermarkets across the highway. Definitely recommended for families with kids.

This lovely moor inspired white washed hub of apartments are set within a gorgeous compact tropical setting right on the boardwalk of a 6km Sandy beach . We went here specifically for the daily spectacular views of the forever changing skies and sunsets on the warmer days, fresh air and ocean walks. This location is wonderful for those who want to relax tune into the waves and go for lovely walks along the ocean.Heaven . On the other side of the hotel is the A 7 which you can’t hear once your within the complex as the ocean , birds, sunsets and gentle winds depending on season are mesmerising. We had a rental car straight on the A7 to Malaga, one way, Marbella , Rhonda etc the other.

I would love to redesign, update the apartments with lighter furniture (contemporary kitchens to bounce light)but that’s a personal preference or wishful thinking as they are the perfect little apartments to own for a quick escape from the Uk chills. They are well equipped

amazing location- right on the fabulous beach. restaurants on the beach very close by, including a nice marina. the hotels gardens are amazing- beautiful plants and water features. The staff were excellent. I can’t wait to go back!

a lovely resort and nice and quiet as we had a 2 year old with us. Good location have visited many times over 30 years. Nice to see the restaurant is a good place to eat again. Grounds are well maintained. Staff were excellent

property could do with being modernised although couldn’t fault cleanliness. Shame the bar closes early at night and there is no entertainment.

The location is wonderful right on the beach, the staff in all areas were extremely friendly, and helpful always with a smile on their faces. It was my second stay and I will always stay there in the future.

The restaurant could have been open earlier say for coffee in the morning but really that’s all.

Loved our studio, sea view and good access to the beach. The bathroom had been refurbished, had a kettle, toaster, fridge, everything we needed. Check in staff where so welcoming. It was great to have free on site parking, straight outside our studio. Try and book B25. Loved the little garden with waterfalls. Peaceful at night couldn't hear the road at all, just crickets and waves.

Leaving. Would have liked the onsite restaurant to serve breakfast, but probably not the demand for it.

Location, location, location. Excellent views and local amenities, as well as the M220 Fuengirola to Marbella bus route. Great on site restaurant and also great local restaurants across in the square and along the board walk. Close by supermarkets have all you need too.

No TV in the bedrooms.

not much at all really, if I had one criticism it would be the interiors are a little dated.

The staff in the reception was kind and friendly. Great service.

The hotel policy is check-in is at 5 PM, It is really late, never before I have had a such late check-in, and you lost almost the first day with that policy, so it should be modified.

The hospitality of the stuff.

The apartment was really clean with great facilities with a nice balcony with sunbeds, table and chairs. The air con worked wonderfully and was greatly needed. The setting is good just next to the beach. The restaurant on site serves fantastic fresh food and the staff are just lovely.

For the money we paid the only thing that let the accommodation down was not been able to get a sunbed around the pool when we needed one. There were yellow towels everywhere with nobody sat on them from early in the morning. This problem could easily be resolved with big signs saying SUNBEDS CAN NOT BE RESERVED, YOUR TOWELS WILL BE REMOVED IF NECESSARY. The life guard or another member of staff could walk around every half hour or so to do this as I appreciate some people ignore requests. It does say that you can't reserve sunbeds in the welcome book but obviously people ignore this, it is a shame because of this I will not be staying here again.

Area very clean and well maintained. Nice view to the seafront. Very quiet place, which is weird because the mainroad is behind the resort. The woodmade walking street is nice at the beach. You can reach the nearest beach restaurants easily.

no breakfast available. Access by car is a little bit hard cause there is no speeding lane or proper exit from the mainroad (which is like a highway).
