Das Alexander befindet sich in der zweiten Hälfte einer Renovierung im Wert von 25 Millionen US-Dollar. Der Großteil der störenden Arbeiten, die durch das Ersetzen der Außenfenster und -türen durch Fenster und Türen mit Hurrikanwirkung verursacht wurden, ist nun abgeschlossen, ebenso wie der Wiederaufbau von Balkonen mit Glasgeländern, die eine noch bessere Aussicht auf das Meer und die Interkostal bieten.
In den Fluren, die zu den Wohnungen führen, wird derzeit daran gearbeitet, die Eingangstüren der einzelnen Einheiten auszutauschen, die Wände und Decken zu reparieren, neue Leisten zu gestalten, zu streichen und neue Fußböden zu schaffen. Am invasivsten wird das Ersetzen der Eingangstüren zu jeder Wohnung sein. Diese Arbeit wird im Frühjahr 2020 fortgesetzt. Die Arbeit in Fluren wird gewisse Unannehmlichkeiten mit sich bringen, einschließlich Lärm und Staub.
Wir werden uns bemühen, diese Unannehmlichkeiten und Störungen so gering wie möglich zu halten und für Ihre Sicherheit zu sorgen. Lärmbedingte Arbeiten finden nur zwischen 8 und 20 Uhr statt und niemals an Sonn- oder Feiertagen.
Wir bauen auch einen neuen zweiten Pool auf dem oberen Mezzanin-Deck, dessen Fertigstellung für 2020 erwartet wird. Sehr wenige Immobilien unserer Größe haben zwei Pools, wie wir haben werden. Der größere neue Pool mit Wasserfall und auf Strandhöhe und Whirlpool ist fertiggestellt und in Benutzung. Der Zugang zum Pool erfolgt über den ebenerdigen Korridor des Gebäudes und dient lediglich dem überdachten Zugang zum Hauptpool und dem direkten Zugang zum Strand. Am beliebtesten ist der Strand und wir haben freien Zugang, der nur wenige Schritte von unserem Pool entfernt ist. Das Aerobic-Fitnesscenter wird nur in begrenztem Umfang genutzt und kann in bestimmten Bereichen geschlossen sein.
Die Stadt Miami Beach hat eine wunderschöne Promenade angelegt, die direkt hinter unserem Grundstück verläuft und an unseren Pool und den Strand angrenzt. Dieser Weg erstreckt sich vom South Beach bis zum Mid Beach und ist nachts beleuchtet, um romantische Strandspaziergänge zu unternehmen. Dieser Teil der Konstruktion ist nun abgeschlossen.
Das gehobene Restaurant ist möglicherweise vorübergehend geschlossen. Gegen Gebühr wird jedoch Frühstück und Zimmerservice angeboten. Die Poolbar des Hotels ist geöffnet und bietet tagsüber und in der Dämmerung Erfrischungsgetränke, Mixgetränke, Liköre und beliebte Speisen. In der Lobby gibt es einen Supermarkt mit Kaffee, leichtem Frühstück, Sandwiches und anderen Snacks und Lebensmitteln.

The place is so clean, spacious! A few steps away from the beach with drinks, food and jet skiing! They have couple of beach chairs, that already saved me some money from renting the chairs every day at the beach! I will definitely come back and stay here!

What a great place!! With views of the city and the ocean... sunrise and sunset all from the balcony, you can't ask for better when traveling. The place is spacious, and when traveling with girls, two bathrooms is a blessing. Pool and beach access were as described - simply awesome!!

We made last minute reservations so we were lucky to find a place to spend 7 days on the beach. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The facility and amenities were newer and very nice. 2 very clean pools, beach access, towels and chairs provided by the pools, had to pay for chairs on the beach. The restaurant was 4 star. The views of the ocean and bay from the condo were beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and capable and check-in was a breeze.
The condo itself was disappointing. Not thoroughly cleaned…soap scum in the bathtub and the drain was very slow, the fixtures were corroded and worn, kitchen utensils had dried food stuck to them, looked like the floors were mopped with dirty water, the furniture was old and worn. An ample amount of clean towels and sheets were provided. The beds were very comfortable but sleep was interrupted by a loud, irregular noise from the air conditioner. The owner needs to invest in a decent coffee maker, couches with legs and back cushions on them and better outdoor furniture.
Lesson learned…take what you can get last minute but with more time I would have looked around more.

My husband, myself and our 3 children had an amazing time at this condo! The ocean was just steps away and the view was absolutely breathtaking!! The pools were perfect! We stayed 5 days and were so sad to leave but can’t wait to return someday!! So happy we booked this trip!

We were so excited to get there. It started off with the security man snapping his fingers at us telling us we had to bring the bellhop cart back down if we took it. Who snaps their fingers at arriving guests? Next we go to the room. It’s way nicer in pictures. The showers run extremely hot to freezing cold with every shower. The ceilings in the bathrooms are clearly moldy and need replaced. The freezer doesn’t freeze anything unless it’s over night and there’s no way to see it’s setting, as the fridge light doesn’t work and the access to the switch is blocked by a broken back piece inside the fridge. The AC literally took two days to cool off as the owner wants it set at 76 when you leave. None of the tvs worked. The one in the master bedroom was LITERALLY taped together with scotch tape. Our first morning, some random man entered our room at 10:30 am for no reason but left when we hollared that the room was occupied. The hotel itself isn’t labelled well for guests to know where anything is. From the elevators, (which were either slow or not working at all) to the access to the pool and beach areas. The adult only pool was swarming with kids splashing and screaming I really wouldn’t recommend this place and will never go back. The only decent thing is the view. There’s virtually no good food options anywhere nearby and travelling by the free trolley isn’t as clear as they make it seem, so prepare to walk or pay for Uber for sit down restaurants. Overall not impressed and actually dissatisfied and disappointed. The suite needs a major major update. I’m sure at one point, maybe in 1990, it was beautiful. The owner did reply each time i texted him before we arrived , so that was good We didn’t even bother texting him about what our issues were because what could he do in four days? …….Next!

- Easy to get South Beach and Lincoln Road with free trolley (goes every 20min)
- Nice small fitnesspark 100m away
-Second pool was under renovation but we knew it...
-Valetparking is 260$/10days but there is big parkinglot next to hotel and I think it is cheaper.
-Beachpromenade is under renovation too, if you like to go to North Beach you have to walk 50m in sandy beach and South beach 500m in sand, so no big deal.

Perfect for our famly of 5
The views were great from the patio; we enjoyed every morning and night. The location was great; a free bus that goes all the way down Miami Beach picks up and drops off right out front. The hot tub was not in service but the kids spent a lot of time in the pool. Parts of the pool area are still under construction but it will be nice if it ever gets finished. Didn't see any activity on that. A little surprised about the $150 to park the car for the week and we didn't realize the master bedroom had its own thermostat until our last day. Would suggest stocking a little more toilet paper.

Do not and I repeat, do not rent this unit. Home-Away/VRBO should take this unit off their website. It is horrible, the worst. Completely filthy dirty. Carpet stained in every room, broken legs on sofas. Dirty clothes left in closets, and in drawers along with buckets, rags, and 6 air mattresses. We know what 6 air mattresses mean in one unit. No towels, in fact just one set per bathroom. Some other renter confiscated pool towels to use in unit. Freezer full of someone elses food. Kitchen cabinets also full of unused, opened food containers. Stove-top filthy. Windows caked with dust and dirt, sills caked with dust. Blinds were broken. Had to be busted out of unit by Alexander management team because the lock that looked bad, completely broke solid in door and frame. If thats not enough, exposed light fixtures with no lights, just dangling electrical wiring. The paper mache ceiling in between master bed and bath had ceiling fixtures that were broken with exposed wires. Kitchen soffit had burned hole in wood where light should have been. I could go on and on. Were told by Alexander management that they saw numerous code violations. Please take my advice and book elsewhere. I called Home-Away/VRBO and asked for complete refund. I feel sorry that couldnt leave 0 stars. It deserves 0.

Disgusting
I can’t believe that I paid money to go on vacation and trust that the dwelling that I do rent for that Time that I’m On vacation to be clean and free of lice and other insects well that didn’t happen in my case. I guess this guy who owns this rental doesn’t believe in washing sheets and pillow cases because my wife contracted lice from sleeping on this disgusting bed.

Very misleading
When my friends and I arrived it was around 1200 am due to flight delays. The initial impression from the front lobby wasn’t too bad. However as we proceeded to the elevator and into the hallways we were very shocked to see how dirty and neglected that area was looking. Once we located this particular unit the first thing we see is evidence that this condo door had been kicked in (never repaired) at one point or another. So right from the beginning we were not feeling safe. Due to limited amount of space I can write with this review I will make it brief. The unit was filthy. The bath tub was not clean, there was crumbs left in the chairs at the dinning room table and the closets had stuff just thrown in them. There was only 3 towels, that appeared to be from other hotels. In an attempt to find a reason to stay there, we walked to the pool...which was pitch dark. Their storage sheds they have for the owners are by the pool. One of them was opened with a box fan plugged in and sitting in the middle of the walk way while running. We proceed to the “beach access” tononly be greeted with a 10-12’ fence with 3 signs saying “Danger”. Needless to say, we never even unpacked. I immediately contacted the owner to let him know we were finding a different place to stay and I requested a refund, which of course he refused. So here we are, in Miami and it’s now 130 am, trying to find a decent place to stay for our vacation. Forced to spend another $1200 due to the deceiving photos that have been placed on this website. We took multiple photos of everything we had complaints about. The owner did not wish to see them and continued to say that no one else’s has had any complaints. I find that hard to believe, however, in the end, we did not stay and therefore I think he should have at least offered a partial refund.

Nice apartment - lacked amenities
The suite itself was nice. However lacked some amenities that I would consider necessary - such as a top sheet for the bedroom, a working hair dryer in the master bathroom, cups, bowls and plates for at least 4 people and some general upkeep of the unit itself.

Convenient access. I understood there was going to be construction going on but unfortunately could hear the hammers start banging @ 9AM thru this vacation. Upgrades to the internet were scheduled during my stay(the staff starting banging on the door @ 830 on the first Friday of my stay to swap the internet box for tv which was very upsetting to me) all that aside decent bang for your buck. Would change my opinion if i was credited for the inconvenience I had thru my vacation.

Comfortable unit with wonderful views, steps to the beach.
Under construction BUT everyone there was so Pleasant and accommodating.The owner was wonderful through the whole booking process, very responsive and extremely helpful.
The room was a little dated but very clean. The view is beautiful. To the left is the beach to the right is boating canal with gorgeous houses and just behind that is Miami Skyline where you watch the sunset, it's just stunning.
We had 5 women so the 2 full bathrooms was perfect. Comfortable beds and couches, the owner had a air mattress if we needed it as well. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Iron and ironing board came in handy too. We didn't do too much cooking but the kitchen seemed well-equipped to cover any basic meals. My only negative comment about the unit would be that there was two coffee makers one large one and one small, the large one probably should be replaced it seemed a little moldy. We got by just fine with the little one.
The pool that was open was fantastic!! The 2 hot tubs were amazing! The access to the beach is steps away to beautiful white sand and clear blue water. Rental beach chairs were $10each and umbrella was $15 for the day, jet ski was tons of fun but pricy at $90 for 1/2 hr and you must pass a $10 test to ride.
We used Uber most of the trip, driving in the area can be streasful. (people like to honk at everything down there)
The location is great because you are far enough away from South beach to enjoy your quiet relaxing time but a 10 minute Uber ride and you are at your party destination. Just got home yesterday and we are already planning our next trip back.

Property was under significant construction. Pool and Don Shula’s restaurant closed. Condo was clean. Outside hallways smelled. Inside condo most everything worked. Was good value.

Great place! Even while under construction
This was our third time staying here! The place is under renovations,the room itself is nice,clean and you can’t beat the discounted price due to the construction. The view is great from the brand new balcony/masterbedroom. The owner Jonathan is awesome to work with. There is a grocery store and Walgreens a few blocks away and plenty of restaurants. We took Grand parents they had the master and the wife and I slept on the Murphy bed (surprisingly comporitsble) and the 2 little guys slept in the living room with plenty of space.

Nice location right by the beach
The building itself is under renovation and not looking very attractive. However the condo is nice enough inside, has everything you need and a lovely view of the ocean.
We couldn’t find any decent restaurants or supermarkets in walking distance from the condo, but you can easily get to South Beach (where there are many choices) by car or free trolley bus.

Disappointed
Perhaps in its prime the Alexander was a 4-star hotel. However, during our stay it barely merits a 2-star. The location and beach are nice. But major renovations limited the two pools to one, with the only access through a series of hallways in the basement level. The accommodation amenites were disappointing - no internet access, no TV nor TV directions, one handtowel per bathroom, only two coffee cups for 4 people, very dated bathrooms. I have never been disappointed with our HomeAway accommodations before but thought it was important to inform future visitors regarding this one.

Lovely apartment on the beach.
Impressive lobby area. Valet parking was an extra $26 a day so just factor that into your costs. Nice food st Tiki bar on site. Building work happening at the moment but that didn’t spoil our stay.

Great Beach and Location!
I liked the place even though they were renewing the place; however, the location is great and the beach is amazing. Jonathan was very good at communicating with us and was very accommodating when we requested to check out later. I would have given 5 stars if all the dishes and / or refrigerator had been clean (some glasses were dirty and the fridge could have been cleaner).

Clean, family friendly, Gorgeous beach!
Very happy with room. It was clean and had plentry of room for our family to spread out. Great view of the beach from the balcony. The pool was large, perfect for the family, plus it had 2 hot tubs. We walked to the boardwalk or took a short uber ride to south beach to eat. None of the restaurants were open when we stayed. This is a more low key area, mainly surrounded by condos but still close to South Beach, Which is what we wanted.

I stayed there with my friend back in October 2016;Based on the pics on the apartment it's nothing like what it is, the linens needs to be replaced cause all the towels have stains; the unit itself needs to be updated and it's looks old and there is stains of over wear and tear in the bathrooms and entire unit. Balcony inaccessible cause of the building renovation. House keeping of the unit came only once to the unit. I will not be renting this unit again Atbthe Alexander Hotel again; it's not worth the price or Headache; by the way the wifi never worked.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

We had a great stay at the appartment at the Alexander.
Yes, building was under constructions but less than expected and we could use all the amneties we expected.
Location on beach is ++++, Jonathan was very respondent to our questions.
Will deffently check this up again when going back, and expect to upgrade to give it an even better experience

I stayed here once a few years ago the owner definitely changed a few things for the better. there's new carpeting new couches new blinds new TVs and the building is also setting themselves up for a very luxurious change .
I had the option of staying in a hotel for $200 a night that was a quarter of the size of this so it's always good to come here thanks again

The front desk didnt know anything about nothing as I attempted to follow directions left by the owner to check in and out. The place is out dated. The hotel is doing renovations this private suite might need to think about doing same. The TV in the guess room did not work nor the hair hair in the master bathroom (not good when its your birthday and can't do anything with your hair). No place to hang your things due the closet fill with junk thats not organizated at All and the door was broken. The owners "strong suggestions" (with a sign on the door "leave your shoe at the door to avoid tracking dirty on the carpet" Its a condo location on the beach its kind of hard to avoid dirt thats why you charged an extra $150 for cleaning. I'm glad I travel with towels etc because there wasn't enough with me stating there will be 4 adults. I wished I had booked directly through the hotel. The hotel it self is going to great once they finish the renovations. I've use home away before and loved it. Will probably continue use homeaway but not this place. Hotel 5 stars but the suite 2 stars.
