When we came into the appartement we got a real wauw effect how it looks and the cleanliness. How close it is to the beach. And the welcome we got from Marry. Parking space next to the apartment complex was very easy

It was super modern room with a lot of space and it was very clean.

Our room were right next to the reception so we heard everything.

Great location for families with childrens, near the Beach. Mary is a great host, she recomended us where to spend cality time with the family and where to eat. The apartaments are fully equiped with all you need and very clean. We hope to came back really soon

I have spent 3 wonderful weeks in Calmare apartment. It’s perfect place for people who love wandering throughout a long beach, sunbathing, swimming and appreciate peace and quiet. 10-15 minutes’ walk you reach the most beautiful city in Crete, Rethymno with excellent restaurants, shops, disco clubs, beautiful Old Town narrow streets and many more. Calmare apartment hotel is the best for people who want to be treated like in the great hotel but at the same time have privacy like in own home. You get everything to prepare your own meal or just few steps away you can choose delicious meal in one of many local restaurants. You can choose everyday different beach services. The nearest with comfy sunbeds and umbrellas is just 2 minutes’ walk, so if you forget something from your apartment or just want to get a rest from sun is really nice. Our best beach service with nice cocktails and snacks is Atlantis. Apartments are new, clean and looks like you can see in the photos. The owner of apart. Hotel, Mary is very nice and helpful. She is perfect combination of the best manager and concierge. Mary does everything to make your stay as you wish it be. It’s our third stay in Crete. We explored west, Chania and Heraklion area, but noting compare with Rthymno and kindness of locals there.

Nice location, quiet neighbourhood, close to Rethymnon beaches and restaurants (nevertheless you will need a ride to old town). All new, beautiful design, very clean. Great hosr/Mary will help you with everything you need. Definitely a great option for a summer holiday in Rethymnon.

The room was on street level, which means it wasn't as warm, but it also means we couldn't;t open the windows and more importantly the curtains, making the room very dark. The furniture is quite nice, however, we did not have a table to eat in the room. In regards to the location - very close to the main street, however, it is located on a small street, which means it is not too noisy. There is a good beach 2 minutes away from the hotel. There is a parking lot for 4 cars total, not sure what happens if there are more.

In regards to the location: it is 2 km by foot to the centre, which in normal circumstances is feasible, however, in certain situations is too far. You can drive to the centre (2 km) there is a parking next to the centre but I believe it is a paid one.

The place is superb, 50m from the beach. In the morning it's empty in the peak season. Our apartment was very clean, recently renovated with all contemporary fitting and plumbing. Our room was bigger than I would have expected. People who work at reception are nice, polite and efficient.

There can be not enough parking places. In case you are out of luck, there is a paid parking on a parallel street.

Very new, beautiful interior, close to the beach, parking available, very friendly lady who welcomed us, TV with YouTube and Netflix

The surrounding area is in quite a barren state, our toilet kept running water into the bowl after we flushed and it made water splashing noise which was a bit annoying, but that might have just been in our room

The location is very, very good... just few steps away from the beach where you can rent comfy sunbeds (Kabu rest.) with umbrella for €8, plenty of very good restaurants with fair prices along the beach, 20 mins. walk to Rethymno center, quiet. The apartment is modern and very clean, it has a living area with a sofa if someone likes to watch TV/netflix, comfy big bed, good pillows, nice bathroom . Last but not least, the very nice & friendly owner Mary. Always ready for some travel tips & we had a good conversation with her about Greece, its culture & traditions. Highly recommended!!!

Calmare has a lovely host and is located at a great location, very close to the beach. The room was very comfortable and the shower was especially amazing.

We were one of the few booked rooms before the tourist season and the last nights it started to become busier. As the room was on the ground floor next to the entrance, you do hear other people coming in and out (early) and talking as the doors are not soundproof.

Mary was a wonderful host and supporting us with everything we needed. location was a bit outside but within a good walking distance to the old town (20-30 min). parking was possible near the beach for free, some restaurants for breakfast and drinks are very close by. the room including balcony was modern and very clean.

the only thing would be that the room was rather poorly sound-proofed, so you could hear people talking and working.

Calmare hotel was opened in 2019 and is family owned. Mary the hostess is kind, gentle and professional. We had a very friendly and warm contact with her.The communication before and during our stay was pleasant, fast and accurate. The suite (Delux king suite) was spacious and clean and had all the facilities that we needed. The bad is wide and comfortable. The area is very quiet and there is plenty of parking space (December 2021).

Beautifully remodeled facility, like new. Very spacious. Wonderful and helpful owner. Gave us good restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Very close to the beach and within walking distance from the old, historic center.

The apartment is so cozy: absolutely new and clean, very stylish, comfortable and well equipped. There is everything you may need. It is situated very successfully – in a small quiet alleyway, 100m from the main street, where you can find plenty of nice cafes and restaurants and where you can go to the old town, which is only 20 min. walk slow pace. The sea with several good beaches is 2 min. walk. A supermarket is just in a corner. If you have a car, you can easily rich nice blue bays with excellent beaches, such as Bali, Plakias or Shinari, or you can visit monasteries Preveli, Arkadi and the other nice interesting places. The hostess of the apartments Mary was so kind and helpful. She gave us many useful recommendations about restaurants, beaches, places of interest, how to spend time and so on. We really enjoyed staying at Calmare. For sure, we will come there again.

Very modern and lovely Apartment. The interior is well chosen and high-quality. We didn’t miss anything. The little kitchen is well equipped with a coffee machine, toaster, Stoves and enough dishes. To the beach it’s just a two minute walk and to the old town Centre it’s a 20 minute stroll along the beachside. There is a little clothes line outside to dry beach towels and swimming suits and a water tap to clean sandy feet and shoes. Mary the owner gave us a very warm and hearty welcome. We could ask her everything and she made us feel comfortable all the time. She has great tips what to do in Crete and nice recommendations for traditional restaurants, shops and sightseeing, just ask her. Thanks for a wonderful time!
