The location was great, in centre of town, close to shops, River Avon walls and Monkton Park. The room was very quiet and comfortable.
Our single overnight stay was to attend a family party at another venue. So unfortunately we were unable to make full use of the facilities.

It was clean and comfortable. Large room with a lot of space having a mixture of antique and modern furniture.
There wasn’t anything that concerned us.

Spacious car park. Having the facilities to iron garments in the room.
No lifts, the room was very warm. I tried to open the window but it wouldn't stay open. The restaurant menu didn't cater for those with dietary needs e.g. diabetes; high cholesterol. It was an old building with character meaning the floors and steps were uneven.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It was decorated really nicely and looked much nicer inside than what I expected of a Best Western. They were able to accommodate the fact we couldn't check-in until 23:00. It was nice that the price of the room included access to the pool. The hotel is right in the centre of town so it's easy to get to and, considering we stayed on a Saturday night it wasn't noisy outside.
The room was very expensive for quite a small room - we were booking last minute so we didn't have much choice but to pay. It was also expensive considering the price didn't include breakfast; we did not pay extra for breakfast. I have actually paid less recently for a spa weekend (including treatment) at a 5* hotel.
The room was also extraordinarily hot, even with the large fan on and the window open. And it had not been a hot, or even a warm day. The corridor outside the room was also really hot and it felt like it lacked ventilation.

Old world charm.
Room was too hot with barely any ventilation (Somerford). Dinner on first night was disappointing. Didn't eat again there until breakfast last day and that was only because Sarah Jane's was closed. Toilet was not as clean as it could be and the vanity mirror was thick with dust.

Location was excellent. Close to bus and train station, shops and groceries.
Place is old, furniture worn, bathroom floor is on a 6" slant from one end to other. Weekend front desk staff incredibly unhelpful.

Fruit was a bit limited in choice but otherwise it was fine and staff were really pleasant and helpful. Good seating inside and out and comfortable clean room. Doors closing were a bit noisy but otherwise a nice setting and very helpful staff.

It was nice to have a place to park our car without an extra fee. The hotel has a lovely garden area which made it seem less in a busy area. It was close to every place we wanted to walk to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they kept our luggage for us until the rooms were ready. Since it was raining, this was a great benefit. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Please explain to first time travelers that the room card needs to go into the white box for the electricity to work. We had not seen this before and did not know until two hotels later!! It was a chilly night so we were a bit cold because we couldn't turn up the heat. Everything else was wonderful!

Location was excellent and having a pub restaurant handy. Parking onsite was easy.
The accommodation is dated. The morning fire drill was an unexpected nuisance with two small children trying to get some sleep after suffering jet lag.

The room was very nice and spacious.we were located central .the staff were very good taking our cases up 3 flights of stairs .I couldn’t fault the staff
We had to climb 3 flights of stairs which wasn’t ideal ,breakfast was poor I would have liked a pot of tea on the table instead of big mugs ,the swimming pool was not working and we booked this hotel especially for that

Lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was very nice after along day.
The restaurant just needed a bit of a makeover. A lick of paint and having new covers on the chairs would make a lot of difference.

Located in the centre of town but with loads of parking. We had an accessible room & bathroom which met my needs extremely well. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. The place is stunning & absolutely immaculate. Our only regret - not taking our bathers as the pool is beautiful!
We were there on a Sunday night & the restaurant was closed for dinner. We were able to get a sandwich each. But it was disappointing. The hotel is however, right in the centre of town with restaurants close by. I wasn't able to go out after a long journey

The toilet and tap not working properly were known issues. one duty manager was lovely and helpful, but the other resentful and rude when my elderly parents asked to move rooms.
