Amazing location, 5 mins walk from a beautiful (pebble) beach. Fantastic views of vegetation, mountains, sea. Very pleasant swimming pool, exterior well arranged with seating and barbecue areas. Good air-conditioning (saved us the day it was 48°C!)

Bedrooms not great, ok for 4 but nothing special.

Close to Scopello which is a lovely village. Site nicely laid out with excellent views. Good outdoor areas including BBQ (apart from pool which is way too small). Owner’s representative was helpful

Described as 3 bed but really only 2 bed - 3rd bedroom is in a loft accessed via a ladder. It is hard to imagine who this would suit in view of health and safety risks. Pool is token only - more than 1 person would be a crowd. Inside of villa is very small (a medium sized 2 bed apartment .... approx 60 sq metres) with mostly sliding doors because of lack of space. Bathroom is weak. Pictures (allowing for overly managed staging of scenes with props which I had discounted before booking) are quite misleading. The impression given is of a regular villa that someone might live in and rent out for additional income. We arrived at precise location and were greeted by owner rep shortly afterwards. She then showed us to a substantially identical villa further down the road in an awkward location with very poor road surface. Realising we were concerned with the location, we went back to the original villa (which is not the one shown in the pictures but is substantially identical). It appears the owner has 3 substantially identical villas all within a kilometre of each other. Price paid was approx twice what it should have been for a property of this type. The purpose of a villa (as opposed to say an apartment or pensione) is that you spend time at the villa during the day because it has a lot more room. This is not the case in Villa Genestra. There were only 2 of us so we survived. If there had been 4 of us, it would have been unpleasant.
