Location and plenty of space

Stayed for two nights. Lovely barn, pictures didn’t do it justice. Lovely setting around the horses etc on the farm. Close to Cromford and walkable to nearby attractions.

Wasn’t the cleanest. Quite a lot of dog hair on the floors throughout and lounge rug. Accepting it’s a pet friendly property I would still expect it to be more thoroughly cleaned before arrival. Kitchen crockery was a little dirty but nothing major. Boiler had a fault so there was no hot water for washing up (shower electric so didn’t matter much) but we didn’t discover this until last day and only informed the owners when leaving. I’m sure they would have sorted it if we’d needed it.

Location was beautiful, quiet and away from, but within a stones throw, of the nearby bustling towns. A short drive from local amenities and many of the famous white peak walks.

Duvets and pillows could have been better quality but that is being picky.

Easy to find, walking distance into Cromford, lovely and quiet.

Beds were firm , but that's being picky, otherwise we def will book again.

The cottage was very clean, cosy and warm. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and relaxing sitting in the courtyard with the lovely views. The farm is a working farm and Makala (who works on the farm) was so friendly and helpful and took us on a lovely tour round and shown us the baby calves. It was a little 5 mins walk into the village (Cromford) that had a few pubs/restaurants & shops and a 25 mins walk into Matlock Baths. I would definitely recommend Barn owl for a cosy relaxing value for money break away.

Everything was great!!

The relaxed atmosphere. The hosts had thought of everything. Loads of outside seating area, It was perfect.
