Quaint 4-story home in the heart of Monschau, across Hotel Horchem, fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The terrace was a nice surprise with a great view of the Burg. Comfortable beds and furnishings.
Bedrooms are on the upper floors— not recommended for large luggage. Hot water stopped working after 10 minutes. We had to plan when to take baths so everyone got a chance at hot water ;)

Absolutely perfect location with spectacular views of the castle from the garden and of the town from the street windows. We were just a few steps away from the town square. Coded entry for the door made it possible for everyone to come and go as they wished.
Rooms were simply and tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and couches, Netflix available, though we did have some problems connecting a few times. Kitchen had everything we needed and space enough for everyone (6 people) to be in the living room/dining room/kitchen level at one time while someone was cooking.
Motion sensitive lighting in stairs, hallway and bathrooms.
The ceilings are very low, especially in the shower. My 2 m tall traveling companion didn't come along this time, but it would have been uncomfortable for him to move around and impossible to shower without kneeling. Low ceilings are typical for these old houses, but a note about it in the listing would have been helpful.
There are several changes in floor level between rooms (step up to go into living room area and to bathrooms and upper floor bedrooms), which can be a trip hazard, if you aren't mindful they are there.
Stairs are very steep as well. There is a rope to hold onto, but it's definitely not a good fit for people with mobility issues. There was no baby gate at the top of the stairs and windows did not lock, which is a concern when putting children in the upper floor rooms. Roll down blinds are another potential safety issue for children, but fortunately, these were easily removed for the duration of the stay (just hanging on two screws).
The street the house is on is not driveable for a van -- too narrow. Use the main streets (Rurstr. to Markt) to unload before parking in a parking lot.

The accommodation was perfect. The location is in the old city of Monschau. Beautiful apartment which is newly renovated to top standard. The host is excellent. The accommodation already told us that they don't have wifi, but when we arrived there was a wifi connection (temporary) and it worked well in certain area of the apartment. It's pity that the wifi was not good because we couldn't enjoy Netflix account provided by the host. But it is perfect to actually turn off our phones and enjoyed time together. Recommended!
The only issue we had, if we have to cherry pick, was with the pillows which was too soft and flimsy. Not a big deal though!

Amazing location in a beautiful old town. You are literally in the centre of the little town. The house was the perfect size for a group of 8 people. No one felt too cramped. Perfect accommodation for a trip to Eifel region and we did some hiking and road cycle which was also beautiful.
