what didn’t I like would be easier to answer! the building is beautiful and very comfortable. the set up was perfect for my family especially with the mezzanine floor bedroom which gave my daughters the space they needed. it has everything we needed and more!

…the cold tap in the kitchen was a bit noisy, that’s all I can think of!

The house is finished to an excellent standard and is a truly unique and interesting building, inside and out. Jac was helpful and responsive throughout our stay, including fixing a problem with the plumbing quickly and unobtrusively. The location is quiet and rural with lovely views to the Bristol Channel from the top skylight windows.

The property is very (very, very) isolated but also on a main road, so it isn't possible to walk anywhere and all trips have to be made by car, even if you were taking the dog for a walk. That's not made clear in the description and we didn't find it pleasant. It also has no outdoor space at all other than the driveway and a 3mx3m patio surrounded by walls on four sides, which again is not made clear before arrival and wasn't much good for a stay in summertime. Those two things combined meant that we were constantly having to get in the car just to spend time in the sun.

The property itself is exceptional, very quirky and unusual. Ideal base for exploring the local area, great for a mini break, would not stay any longer than 3 nights. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and slept really well. There was an issue with the hot water (there wasn't any), called the maintenance people and they sorted a plumber to repair that evening. The kitchen was very well equipped, however a set of oven gloves would have been useful.

The boiler should have been checked, after a five hour drive, just wanted a shower, apparently there had been an issue with the boiler before. The house itself could have been cleaner, dust and cobwebs everywhere - Paying £304.50 a night, I would expect it to be pristine. The kitchen taps dripped, the downstairs cloakroom cistern leaked after each flush (we did report it). The TV reception was appalling, I know you don't go away to watch TV but I do like to watch the news, again paying this sort of money, there should be no issues, install SKY or another form of satellite TV. There was dog poo in the courtyard which was not very nice, this should have been picked up (which we did) - Not pleasant.

Just a beautiful cottage and excellent facilities. One of the best places in South wales
