We are repeat customers at this location and we just love it. The owners did an awesome job at renovating this farmhouse, we had everything we needed to cook while onsite (which is a big thing for us); the location on Camano Island is also beautiful and relatively close to Stanwood where you have more options for provisions and dining as well.

We traveled to Camano Island to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. The Arlene was the perfect haven to recover from the family chaos. ;-) In all seriousness, there wasn't space for us to stay with family so it was great to have such a wonderful space to retreat to at the end of the day. Incredibly quiet, beautifully decorated, fully equipped. And wow, the croissants that we found waiting for us on our arrival were incredible. Such a welcome surprise treat! Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the outdoor space and fire pit as well. Next time!

The home is lovely, clean and perfect for 2 couples or a family. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend it to others. This house does not disappoint, the.pictures on the website clearly represent the home. The decorating was beautiful and the home was super clean.

We loved the Arlene! The house is a charming old farmhouse with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. We spent our evenings around the fire pit under the string lights tucked into the juniper trees! I loved the original hardwood floors and rich history of the house. We were welcomed with some nice personal touches and Marla was a gracious host. I was surprised at how busy the road outside the house was, it didn’t keep us awake or anything but it is definitely a well traveled street, something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. The house is also on a well, and well water has a unique smell and feel if you are not used to it. We would absolutely return to the Arlene, and hope to someday!

This property is a gem! Our hosts had a sweet personalized welcome sign upon our arrival. The clean " modern farmhouse " has everything you could possibly need and is in a great location on beautiful Camano Island! Thanks fir the hospitality!

Loved watching the Hummingbirds feeding on the crocosmia! And the kitchen was nice and large enought to have help with making meals. We loved the big yard and wished we had the time to play Bocci. We will definitely stay again!

The home is a clean and quaint, and a quick drive to restaurants and the beach. The hosts are very kind, and the home has all of the amenities one could need to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

A longtime friend and I spent an extended weekend at this delightful home. It was a wonderful place for a getaway, with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking, lovely decor, along with the best hosts. Such a treat!

This property was historic, charming, ultra clean, well equipped, comfortable, conveniently located and economical. It was perfect for two couples of different generations. We compared our lodging with that of several other people who were attending the same family wedding and all agreed we had by far the best place. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

My best friend and I stayed at this farmhouse lovingly referred to as "The Arlene" for a week-long, 50th birthday celebration trip. It was wonderful! The restored farmhouse is beautifully decorated and the size and layout met our needs perfectfully! The house had EVERYTHING we needed, from a Keurig to Ziploc bags. The area where the farmhouse is located is so peaceful. We were able to walk to the nearby bay and catch some pretty spectacular sunsets! We also enjoyed fresh apples from the tree next to the farmhouse. Marla personalized our stay with a welcome sign in the kitchen and a cute package of S'mores ingredients....which was of use sitting out by the firepit in the Adirondack chairs. Did I say peaceful?! Overall, this is just a beautiful and welcoming farmhouse with very responsive owners! We will visit again!

Rented the Arlene for four days to spend time with family and relax, adventure, watch sunsets and chill. It fit the bill perfectly.

The Arlene was comfortable and spacious for our anniversary weekend. My husband loves to cook breakfast and it had all of the essentials. It was so close to the restaurants and shops in the island. It was clean and had a great living room for reading and watching movies. There was a little struggle with the check in, but was resolved within an hour or so. It was a relaxing place to stay!

My husband and I came to Camano Island to visit family and we all loved the house!! It was incredibly clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the laundry room. We absolutely loved flipping through the book detailing the renovation of the property. We enjoyed a fire outside at sunset on our last night and will certainly stay here when we return next summer.

Marla and Randy, thank you so much for such an incredible place to escape and relax. We absolutely LOVED every bit of our stay at this beautiful home. The beds are probably some of the most comfortable we've slept in on vacation. The attention to detail, all the amenities and personal touches really made us feel like we were at home. This was a vacation that our family was sad to see come to an end; we miss Arlene already.

The Arlene is a beautifully restored property and was a perfect spot for my extended "work from somewhere awesome away from home" trip. I'd definitely recommend it. Lovely walks along the waterfront neighborhood; some easier hiking at the state parks nearby and close enough to the mountains for the days you want the challenge; and great places to work (or just watch the tide roll in and out) from the various beaches and other hidden spots on the island. I can't say enough good things about my stay. If I'm searching for something to flag for future guests it'd be that the house isn't on a sleepy street like you might anticipate. The traffic isn't constant and it is quiet overnight when it really counts, but the traffic that comes through can be pretty loud and fast (mostly people not slowing down when the speed limit drops nearby and motorcycles and diesel and construction trucks in the neighborhood). I should say, though, the bald eagles, humming birds, bunnies, nice landscaping, fire pit, front porch, dark starry nights, and easy access to the Stanwood bridge make up for the traffic disruption. While you’re on Camano, do yourself a favor and get Brooklyn Bros pizza and cannolis! Probably the best pizza I've had outside of NYC. And, make the trip to Snow Goose Produce for ice cream, fresh fish and steaks for the grill, local produce … I did a lot of cooking and grilling since Marla & Randy have the kitchen so well stocked. The Arlene really is a great home base to make your trip to Camano truly memorable. Thank you Marla & Randy for sharing this lovely home!

We loved staying at The Arlene! It was sparkling clean, absolutely one of the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The decor was lovely and stylish without being fussy. We spent three days and it was a delightful place to linger. Unlike many listings, the photos accurately capture how spacious the house is. We had plenty of room . From the gleaming hardwood floors, to the relaxing couch and pillows, to the cozy basket chair and beautiful beds, it was clear that the owners pay attention to and care about every detail. We cooked together in the roomy kitchen, ate our meals in the dining nook, and read books in the super comfy living room. We also enjoyed a walk in the neighborhood, and shopped for groceries (including lobster) at the local IGA. This was a wonderful place to spend New Year’s Eve for our family, and we would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful time. It's such a cute, charming house, with updated modern kitchen and bathrooms. We had plenty of space for the three of us. The owners were very responsive. We were impressed!

Beautiful area

The Arlene was the perfect property for our visit with nearby family. This home was cozy & comfortable with all the amenities well thought out. Everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds with quality linens, plush towels in bath, entire home very clean & sanitized. We enjoyed plenty of room in the kitchen & dining area for dinner gatherings, cards & lots of laughter. Hanging out around the fire pit & enjoying the beautiful nights was amazing. The owners were quick to answer any questions we might have had. This Camino Island property is wonderful & I would love to stay here again next time visiting WA area.
