The apartment is quite spacious and in a great location to access the old town/Port and a short walk to the beach. The host was lovely! The beds were comfortable and it was great to have the use of a kitchen & washing machine while travelling with kids. The balcony was nice to sit and enjoy a drink or a coffee in the morning and there are 2 supermarkets and lots of cafes/restaurants nearby.

Nothing to dislike! The stairs are a little steep as mentioned in other reviews but I wouldn’t let that put you off - we would definitely stay here again!

We liked everything about it: the entire design and attention to details, the very engaging and nice host, who waited for us with a few things in the fridge, and explained whatever piece of information we needed + (and this is a huge plus) its location: near a market, a pharmacy, city centre & old town + 10 mins on foot to a cute sandy beach. Monopoli has a really beautiful cathedral, and was overall a chic town to explore and discover a little bit of Puglia!

Everything was perfect; even nicer than looking on the fotos. Mariella is a perfect hostess; we can absolutely recommend Casa Carlotta. There is enough space for families with two children.

We stayed at Casa Carlotta for a week and used it as a hub for touring that area of Puglia. We were sad leaving Casa Carlotta, its that good! Mariella and her daughter Carlotta were fantastic hosts...attentive, responsive, warm and friendly. The apartment was an absolute ten, from design to decor to furnishings. Location was fantastic, about a two minute walk from the old town. Try Caffe Crema around the corner, restaurants abound, several small supermercados withing a five minute walk. For first time visitors to Monopoli I would recommend Casa Carlotta over similar accommodation in the old town, access in and out is much easier. Grazie mille Mariella and Carlotta

Fantastic quiet location close to the main square, waterfront and train station. The property is large, clean and well appointed. Our host, Mariella, was extremely helpful in assisting us with planning activities, booking restaurants etc.

We had several flats during our holiday, but Casa Carlotta was by far the prettiest, most comfortable and most pleasant. Not only was it a pleasure to stay in Italy, but especially to stay in this flat. The hostess is very friendly, very helpful and responds promptly if a question arises. The perfect flat for a wonderful holiday for two.

Our host, Mariella, could not have been more perfect. We found her to be extremely helpful and interested in our Monopoli experience. When we expressed interest in biking, she immediately recommended options for bikes or ebikes and went over the top by offering to bring us on a local bike tour. We had a great time riding around with her. We rode down quaint country lanes around the olive tree groves, visited an olive farm/bed & Breakfast, and completed the tour with fantastic ocean views. Let Mariella know what your interests are and I am sure she will do everything she can to help you have a great time!

Very well equipped apartment, including all kitchen items. Exceptionally clean. The apartment is huge - much bigger than in the photos. The apartment is very quiet and the bedroom is not on the road side so if you are a light sleeper this apartment is perfect for you, and even the kitchen which is on the roadside is very quiet as its not a busy road and its a few stories high. Conveniently located in the middle of town. We would definitely stay here again. It was our best value for money stay in Puglia too!

Casa Carlotta is a beautiful escape in Monopoli, Puglia. Everything in and around Casa Carlotta is just perfect. The apartment ist beautifully designed and furnished with style and handpicked items and furniture. The energy in the home is beautiful. I really did not want to leave the home, because it was so nice to spent the hours inside. The home was equipped with everything you need and beyond! Even decoration and candles to have a beautiful dinner at home. with a supermarket just 50m distance with fresh local products that was perfectly possible without loosing too much time. The location of casa Carlotta is perfect in the city near the historic center and close to various beaches. It is a quite spot and and drinking my espresso in the morning on the charming and cute balcony with a bit of sea view was just perfect. Mariella the owner is a very positive and beautiful person inside and out. She made our stay even better, supporting us, checking in with us, giving us good advice about Monopoli and the different areas. We really felt welcomed by her and like being in our own home. My 9 year old daughter was so in love with this place. Really „perfetto“ , as my daughter was saying all the time.

The apartment was spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony. It’s perfectly located, close to the old town with plenty of great bars and restaurants. Mariella was a great host - very responsive and friendly. Would recommend as a good base to explore Monopoli and beyond.

The welcome was superb (bottle of wine, fruit and water waiting). The host Mariella was organized and accessible throughout the visit. Facilities exactly as pictured. Perfect for a couple or family with one or two infant children.

The accommodation met or exceeded expectations in all respects. I would emphasize that the use of stairs is required for anybody with mobility issues.

The apartment is beautiful and spacious - better than the pictures show really (and brighter if you open the blinds). The host was always available and responsive on WhatsApp (which is always nice). Location is perfect, 10 mins walk from the train station and a 1 minute from the old town, with a cafe and gelato place (essentials) literally around the corner. Balcony is also nice. Can't imagine a better place to stay if you want to visint Monopoli (or stay in Monopoli and visit Polignano).

Can't think of anything negative. There were a couple of flies/bugs, which is to be expected in the climate and maybe not even worth saying. But it wasn't bad and bug spray was provided.

Everything about this place was amazing- when you see the photos you think "Oh I hope it is really that nice" but it is even better in real life because the photos can't capture the height of the beautifully restored vaulted ceilings. The host is an artist - she has made a work of art with this apartment that feels like a 5 star hotel experience. Everywhere you look there are beautiful touches - local crafts - the Puglian ceramic vases and cactus ceramics - the exquisite lighting of each alcove, the blankets on the beds that are soft as kittens! the location is right next to the port and the centro storice and there is a well stocked little grocery shop 1 min away. Maria the host was so freindly and helpful and left us no doubt we were well looked after- we are only dreaming of when we can come back and stay for longer.

Perfect apartment, super clean, great location, in a heart of Monopoli but very quiet, very spacieous, includes everything you need. Mariella, super friendly and helpfull host. Her advice is invaluable. I definitely recommend it

Mariella was a fantastic host. She met us on arrival and nothing was any trouble to her . The location is fantastic just outside the old city with plenty of bars and restaurants . Love walks around the port area with a beautiful sunrise if you are prepared to get up early. Spotlessly clean and a lovely small balcony to sit out at night for a glass of wine or a gin and tonic. Neighbours very friendly and always greet nice Italian experience. Plenty of space and well equipped.

Casa Carlotta did not disappoint! The high reviews are well deserved. Mariella has put a lot of care into the property and was a phenomenal host. The apartment is beautifully renovated and very spacious. It is located a short walk to the old city center and near anything you may need for your stay - a market, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy etc. Mariella assisted us our first night with finding parking for our rental car and even checked in the next day to make sure the car was ok (parking can be a little tricky at first but you get the hang of it!). I highly recommend a stay at Casa Carlotta when visiting Monopoli!

Great, fully equipped apartment located in the heart of monopoli, 2 mins walk to the historical center, 10 minutes walk to the closest beach in Monopoli. Extremely clean (never had such a clean apartment in italy before during my holidays!!), with everything you might need for a comfy stay (fresh towels, fully equipped kitchen, small & cute balcony with street view). will definitely return!!! 💜
