The huge amount of Buddhas

incompetent and lazy reception staff. Stars everywhere and nobody ready to help to carry the luggage. Unacceptable for a "4 stars" hotel. Only reception area and swimming pool are 4****. The rest is really poor.

Complex originally built as a luxury resort turned into "all in" resort. Apartments are back dated, but comfortable and clean. Kitchen is adequate and well furnished. The pool bar is the best part of the aparthotel, where you can sit all day in the pool water enjoying drinks and food at a reasonable price. There are no real views (except for a gap between the trees where you can see La Gomera on a clear day), as the aparthotel faces a hospital. The night illumination is very impressive. Pool was heated. Also has an outdoor spa area. The staff is very friendly, particularly at the pool and restaurant (self-service) areas. If you are not so keen on the food offering, there are some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. The biggest shopping mall is close by and the beach a few short km. away. Taxis are cheap in Tenerife, so no real need to get a rent-a-car. Over all a pleasant stay if you want to relax.

Judging by their website, you would expect a luxury resort. As it turns out, it is an all in resort, so the quality of the drinks (alcoholic - no brand names) and the food offering is not excellent. Whatever you purchase, you have to pay immediately. It is not possible to charge to the room, so you never really enter into a relationship with the reception. Entry is at 15:00 and exit is at 10:00 (and they call you from reception to remind you - even though the hotel had an occupancy of less than 50%). This means that if you stay for 2 days, it is not 48 hours - it's 43. The apartments, I am sure, were originally very beautiful, but they are lacking maintenance. The bath's faucets come off, the outdoor furniture has not been varnished for years. The TVs are not smart TVs. And be extremely careful with the floor tiles in the apartments. They are not anti-slip. I have a nice blue mark from a fall between the bathroom and the bedroom.

Nothing at all

1. Arrived for checking in and they couldn’t find me in the system, booking was on a different name for reasons I still don’t know. 2. The facilities are very old and poor maintained. 3. The furniture in the room was very old and broken. 4. Very dirty, floors, worktop, cooker, bathroom. Very nasty with no sings of deep cleaning in a while. 5. Service in the restaurant very slow (more than 1h to get our food) even with only 4 tables seating for dinner. 6. Low quality food, frozen pizza, burned veggie burger and dry ribs. 7. There were few guests smoking by the pool when it’s not permitted. We could smell weed. 8. There was a group of guys with a portable speaker playing very loud music, clearly drunk around families with kids. No one told them off. 9. The heating was not working in the room. 10. We booked 2 rooms, one for 2 people + 1 for 4. I’m the second apartment there were not second bedroom, just a very small & old sofa that couldn’t fit even one adult!

tired bathroom, poor drainage of bath, a broken slat on outside chair. both were reported to reception. a shame the on-site supermarket has closed
