Used it as a last minute airport hotel as we missed our connecting flights & had to stay overnight. Only 10 mins by train from Zurich airport in a suburban location. Room size was good. Didn't stay for b/f as had to go back to the airport early morning.
Only one staff member available to check in. Spent 45 mins in the queue trying to check in. One of the rooms that we were given initially was unmade - it had previous guest belongings and everything was on the floor. So had to go back and request another room. Same problem while checking out - the printer wont work and the email wont come. So again spent 15 mins just waiting for the print outs or emails

The location is close to Oerlikon train Station, which makes my tour more convenient.

The location was great! The staff members were incredibly kind and professional. Breakfast was outstanding, and the biggest spread I have ever seen.
The hotel itself is beautiful; however the furniture is worn and stained, carpets are stained, and the "superior" higher priced room is only for the courtyard view, which is an internal parking lot, the roof of a lower building and looking directly at apartments. Not a superior view at all. The street view may have been nicer and less expensive. The room was small, the bed in the room was worn and painfully uncomfortable, and the recepticals in the bathroom and main bedroom did not work. Dinner was not good though we tried different options both nights, and finally we had to go out in the rain on the 3rd night for better food.
Unfortunately, our opinion of Marriott has been altered as I am a member and have always chosen a Marriott when possible.

The staff were brilliant and friendly and the room was clean and spacious
The breakfast was not great and often had to wait for tea and coffee as there is only 1 machine

Breakfast was very good and exceeded my european expectations. Very Good/Great location for what I needed.
Some members of the staff. In our second stay, I do not know if the one at the front desk that received us (unfriendly) or who, but I was CHARGED with an extra bed, which I did not a$$ked!!!
I also recommend a wider offer in the coffee shop (24 h).

I had the worse check in experience of my life. The receptionist treated us badly and suggested several times that we made a mistake and didn't book a room. After a lot of time, he found our reservation and realized what he did, but it was already late. He ruined us the night. He upgraded our room and gave us complementary water to compensate. It was a nice gesture and I appreciate, but I wish he is trained properly... I talked about this the next morning with someone at the desk and he regreated we had a bad experience and suggested to contact the manager, which I did. I want to believe it was only a one time thing and that they will handle these situations better in the future. The rest was good and I might consider giving them another chance in the future.
