Every thing you could need. Really comfy beds and pillows. Although no parking at the property the public car park was only a 2 minute walk away and was paid for by the host.
Very close to all the local amenities.
Nothing, it was a lovely cottage.

The cottage was beautiful. Very comfortable and homely. Lovely quiet location tucked away off the high street. Lovely walks around. Quaint village shops.

Dog friendly, utility room very useful for keeping dog food separate. Quiet location although close to town centre, with Coop five minutes away. Parking was not a problem with the permit Jonathan arranged. Beds were very comfortable.
Seemed to be designed for very tall people. I'm 5'2" and couldn't reach many of the kitchen cupboards. There is a dishwasher, but not enough crockery or cutlery to allow for a full wash, so we just washed up in the sink - why bother providing the dishwasher?
The smaller bedroom was completely over supplied with storage cupboards making it all very squashed.
The booking form required me to upload a photo for ID which presented difficulties as I'm not techy, and proved entirely unnecessary as we never saw our host, there being no need for contact while we were there.

Chudleigh is an absolute gem and was a great location for us as we have family in Bovey Tracey and it’s a short run into Teignmouth. The Sandwich shop and hummingbird cafe are highly recommended and we took the dogs to a safe field at Haytor Mutt Mayhem which also had the most amazing views.
It was a bit of a pain not having an outside area with the dogs but we loved the place and location so would probably stay again anyway!

This is a lovely holiday cottage- very clean and comfortable. Nice and warm with great beds too. Had everything we needed for a home from home experience. Great location for exploring Devon. Host very helpful and attentive.
Nothing- it was all grand : )

Such a great cottage with everything you would need. Like home from home. I liked that perfectly fine essentials ie, oil, salt, oats, stock cubes etc were left. A nice coffee machine too with plenty of pods. The home is beautifully presented with excellent use of space so plenty of built in wardrobes and bathroom shelves. Jonathan was on hand (via text) to make sure all was well. Tv has everything. Beds very comfortable and good quality linen and towels. Parking in the carpark was easy enough and not far away. Plenty of shops and pubs nearby. I would definitely return.
only one thing, no parking directly outside.

Really good location if you want to explore the area. We went with a young child so lots of attractions for her. It’s also nice for a couple or older people as it’s quiet with again lots to explore depending on your taste.

Fantastic place! Very clean in a great location, very attentive host! Great for a young child. Looking forward to staying here again!
Staying in the Middle of June, the blinds let in lots of light, used to Black out curtains at home so maybe some thicker curtains?

.The host kept up good communication throughout our stay, the property was very clean and excellently equipped.
No outside space but we were aware of that when we booked.

The communication from the owner was excellent all the way through. The cottage was very clean and had lots of little touches that made our time there easier, like hand soap, toilet rolls, tea towels and hand towels, and many helpful kitchen appliances with guides to make using them straightforward. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard space.
There wasnt anything that I didn't like.

Warm and clean with well equipped kitchen for catering located in a quiet mews nr centre of village. Comfortable beds, linen and towels.
Would have preferred a more forceful shower and parking directly outside however was fine for our needs.

This is a lovely little cottage with lots of character. It has ample space and is very comfortable. Both bedrooms have ample storage space and I liked the fact that there was an area in which to sit and write or work. The bed I used was very comfortable and I liked the ceiling lights which made it easy for me to read before sleep.
The shower is hot and powerful - so perfect! It might be a good idea to warn older guests that they will need to step over the side of the bath to use the shower. It was fine for me but I know some older people whose hips would make that difficult.
I found the cottage warm and cosy and had no need to meddle with the thermostat. It was great to have free wifi so that I could check emails during my stay.
The kitchen is roomy and has all the equipment I needed. Hot water was available at all times. I was also pleased to find bowls and towels for the dogs and I appreciated pre-payment of a parking space in the town car park.
I enjoyed my stay and would happily stay at the cottage again. The only suggestion I'd make is that it might be a good idea to ask someone to put a pint of milk in the fridge for new guests. I've often arrived at other cottages in the past to find milk and tea bags waiting for me. It's a lovely touch when you've had a long journey and would love a cup of tea before venturing out to the shop.

We liked the location, and the kitchen facilities. We also thought the little touches like the coffee machine was a good idea. There were also plenty of towels for us to use.
At the time of our stay it stated that it slept 6 which included 2 sofa beds in the living room. However in our opinion it only slept 4 comfortably as there wasn’t 2 sofa beds. As there were 5 adults in the property it meant that someone had to sleep on an air bed provided by the property. Also it wasn’t as clean as I was expecting. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, and crumbs on the green sofa, which then made me feel that I had to clean everything before use.

Nothing to dislike

Tannery Mews is a cosy little cottage tucked away from the street. It was very quiet and dark at night (which meant sound sleep) but two steps from the local supermarket if your run short of milk or bread late at night. Everything is thought of for you, all the little things you might need when you are self catering, plus a few more besides. Generous amounts of loo rolls, washing up liquid AND dishwasher tabs - even clingfilm for packed lunches! Everything was spotlessly clean and set out for a smooth arrival. Jonathan makes sure you have all the information you could need in a well honed and polished familiarisation procedure. I don't think I have ever stayed anywhere which gave so much info on what you might need to know in advance. Even with all this in place, he provides a contact number and email and answers queries promptly! An excellent host. I would rate this accommodation as home from home, we constantly commented 'oh look! there is even one of these!' It isn't grand, but it is very spacious, nicely done and comfy, It was also very good value. It doesn't have parking, but Jonathan arranges a permit for you in the local car park which is barely a minutes walk, well lit, capacious and right next to the local supermarket and police station, so your car is very unlikely to come to grief! (you can unload at the front door and then park your car) Don't pass this cottage over, it's super. It's close to the expressway which gives good access to both Devon and Cornwall. Whilst Chudleigh is a little way from the coast, travelling about was easy and close to some lovely beaches. Don't miss the little farmers market on a Wednesday morning in front of the Town Hall!
Nothing I didn't like, I think you would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about.

I booked the Mews for my elderly mum while she was having emergency building work completed. The house was perfect, with character but an very modern kitchen with professional standard appliances. Minutes walk in to the old wool town of Chudleigh.
The property has a pad system so you can't lose the keys. Very easy to use.
Jonathon the owner was exceptionally helpful and understood the situation over our booking. I would like to thank him for everything he did while mum was in his property, including arranging safe cleaning procedures during Covid and even offering to get some shopping if required!
Parking is by permit in the nearby car-park, but loading/ un-loading can be made directly outside the property. although worth noting it is a narrow lane to access.
Chudleigh is a character small town which makes a great base for the coast and moors, and (in normal times!), has several
good pubs and coffee shops. The Phoenix and Bishop Lacy pubs in particular do good food as do Harvey's cafe.
Also a Co-Op and Spar supermarket and a good local grocers, along with other facilities all within walking distance.
Thank you Jonathon for a lovely stay.
Mark ( and June!)
If I had one suggestion for a future improvement it would be for an actual woodburner rather than the decorative burner fire.
