The friendly and professional hosts here went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Which we did, the bed was warm and comfortable, hot shower was great, breakfast enough to keep you going.

We liked everything. Would and do recommend the pier.

Noise from the street was a little loud on the se one night, it’s obviously on a cruise route… but it was a bank holiday weekend, we may have just been unlucky

Hosts were very welcoming and accommodated all requests. Advice was very helpful . Breakfast was great. Venue was in good place as it was possible to walk to places of interest.

Rahul made us very welcome. nothing to much trouble for him, very accommodating. we could even leave our car there while we had a stroll to the beach. it was only a flying visit but next time we will make it longer. :)

Big room, big bed, lovely owners who really cared about each person and was lovely to chat to and a lovely breakfast, the homemade yogurt was divine.

The location was great but the road could get loud at night.

Very quiet room that was well planned to fit everything you expect to make the most of a small room. We contacted the owner ahead of our stay with some questions and had prompt, friendly and helpful responses. Breakfast was exceptional, and all guests had a good chat with the staff and each other. Felt like staying with friends.

We did struggle to park due to the time we arrived and the Great South Run that was taking place the following day, but we knew this may be the case and found a space close by. The room was small, but we knew this when we booked and was well laid out so that it didn't feel cramped.

Very friendly staff and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast was lovely too.

Shower and toilet were in a combined wet room. Not ideal but not terrible.

The Pier is a great place to stay. It's in a great location, the hosts are very hospitable and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. A free parking permit made it even better value and convenient for parking nearby. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Pier.

Room was too small. No separate bathroom, a plastic box containing toilet and shower in the corner. Mattress protector dirty.

Lovely place to stay - would recommend!

A little gem of a place, the hosts were brilliant very helpful and friendly. Everything was beautifully clean with comfy beds and crisp white linen. The breakfast was gorgeous we had the full English it was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this delightful place and we will be returning.

Friendly hosts - very welcoming, fabulous breakfast, perfect location and a great room. Onstreet parking was available nearby (straight outside!) and the B&B even provided the parking permit. Exceeded our expectations!

Gorgeous little hotel, room was clean and super comfortable, really gives you that cozy at home vibe. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic (the overnight oats were superb) and they will do their best to accommodate any food intolerances you have. Overall we had a fantastic time and fully recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to enjoy some quality time away from home.

Wifi signal is weak, which is probably attributed to the hotel being an older building.

Rahul and his family were exceptional hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was large and bright as well as being beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious. Rahul's mother's homemade yoghurt and oats were a perfect start to the day, along with a cooked breakfast. We were even offered a traditional Indian breakfast to try which was delicious. I can not fault a single thing about my stay. The location was fabulous for going to Gunwharf Quays or exploring further along the coast. I can't recommend highly enough.

Not a thing

The B&B is well maintained and you can tell it was recently refurbished. It has nice decor and furniture, and fresh flowers everywhere; it’s obvious they care about their guests. The house is a listed building, which makes the stay even more special. Location is very close to the historic docks and to the ferry.

The shower is something curious but instructions on how to use it are clearly displayed. I’d say a shower curtain would improve it a lot.

The owner was very amiable and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and the owner was always available to help or sort our needs and wishes.

All was above expectations. You would be hard pushed to find a nicer place and owner.

The Pier is very conveniently located. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. You won’t regret staying here! Plus, you get gone-made yoghurt and honey with your breakfast!

Buy better-quality sausages! That’s my only advice for an otherwise flawless place to stay!

Everything about this place was amazing from the comfort of the sitting area to the bedroom accommodation. The owner was very helpful and went above and beyond. Highly recommend the pier to anyone looking to stay and would definitely return at a later date on my breaks
