BIRCH BRAE- Spectacular House On Big Lake For An Amazing Northwoods Experience!
Wir haben unser Traum-Seehaus vor ca. 15 Jahren für Familienfeiern gebaut und es groß gebaut, um mehr als 12 Gäste unterzubringen. Hohe Gewölbedecken, ein Kamin aus Stein, einzigartige Möbel und zwei Fenstergeschosse bieten einen außergewöhnlichen Blick auf den Großen See und all seine Schönheit.
Der Hauptraum dient zum Essen, Spielen, Entspannen am Feuer, Beobachten des Sees und aller Tiere, die kommen und gehen (Adler, Hirsche, Seetaucher und viele mehr !!). Das Haus verfügt über eine große, komfortabel abgeschirmte Veranda und eine massive Terrasse, die sich über die gesamte Länge des Hauses am Seeufer erstreckt.
Die Küche ist sehr groß und eignet sich hervorragend für Gruppen, um Mahlzeiten zuzubereiten, während sie sich treffen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Serviertellern, Geschirr, Töpfen und Pfannen sowie eine große Auswahl an Gläsern usw.
Big Lake ist ein 827 Hektar großer See. Es hat eine maximale Tiefe von 61 Fuß. Besucher haben von öffentlichen Bootsanlegestellen aus Zugang zum See. Zu den Fischen zählen Moschus, Panfisch, Großmaulbarsch, Kleinmaulbarsch, Hecht und Zander. Das Wasser des Sees ist sehr klar. Birch Brae liegt auf der südlichen Steilküste gegenüber Keith Island. Treppen führen zu unserer Anlegestelle, die sich auf einem flachen, sandigen Gebiet befindet und zum Schwimmen und für Wassersportaktivitäten einlädt.
Birch Brae befindet sich auch im Herzen des Vilas County. Das Bike Trail System bietet mehr als 75 km asphaltierte Pfade, die St. Germain, Sayner, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters. (8 Meilen nach Boulder Junction und 8 Meilen nach Manitowish Waters)
Vilas County ist eines der weltweit führenden Schneemobilziele. Wir haben über 600 Meilen spektakulärer Wanderwege, die unberührte Wildnis durchqueren, unerschlossene Seen überqueren und Verbindungen zu malerischen Northwoods-Gemeinden herstellen. Insgesamt ist im Bezirk Vilas eine Viertelmillion Morgen öffentliches Land beheimatet.
Wir befinden uns im Lake Superior Snowbelt und werden jeden Winter von Schnee bedeckt. Wir sind auch die Heimat einiger der besten Motorschlittenclubs und ihre Freiwilligen arbeiten unermüdlich daran, die Trails in Top-Zustand zu halten.

Absolutely perfect in every respect. We are repeat renters and it’s lovely every time.

Our family of 13 stayed for a week. Everyone described the the house, the kitchen, and the recreational equipment as outstanding. Everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, was provided. We enjoyed games, puzzles, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, trail hiking and lots of great conversation. We appreciated the high-speed internet as some family members had work or classes for which high speed was helpful. Everyone explored nearby towns. One family member rented a boat at Greers Landing for two days on a nearby lake for tubing and skiing. We recommend Birch Brae!

5 sisters catching up, had a wonderful time in spacious home. Very well stocked. Love the view of the lake thru windows and back porch. Definitely would recommend.

We rent a home every year in the area and this is far and away the best of the best. House was perfect with a large gathering area and kitchen. I love Big Lake, great small mouth, pan fish, Northern and musky fishing. I would highly recommend hiring a guide to learn the lake, there are some dangerous rock bars or simply read a map intently. We will book this house again in 2024. Thx TC

The house is magnificent. The lake offered great swimming for adults and kids of all ages. The canoes and kayaks got us all around the lake. The bikes were great on the nearby bike/hike trail. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thanks, Keith!!

This cabin was beautiful and clean. There was a lot of old detail that was put into it. So many different books and paintings. There was so much character. You can tell the house was built and kept up with love and we felt it. It was beautiful especially the lake. The nearby towns have nice little bars and restaurants. It was truly magical and I can’t wait to stay again. Thank you Keith for letting us stay in your home. Our hearts are warmed.

A group of friends and I gathered at this beautiful accommodating property in the northern highlands region of Wisconsin and could not have been more pleased with the home, the land and the lake it was on. So much to do, look at and explore. Keith was very easy to communicate with and everything was to our liking!

This property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful and quiet and did I say beautiful. The cabin had plenty of space for all of us to hang out. Spacious kitchen lot's of seating for eating and games. The lake was the cleanest we have EVER swam in!!! The scenery around the lake and property was absolutely gorgeous! We found a awesome trail to walk our dogs on! The Host was very easy to communicate with and responded to requests promptly! I can't wait to come back again and again and again. I really hope everyone else has a wonderful experience like we did.

Awesome place for a family get together- From check-in to departure it was a perfect place to enjoy time together and time away. The cabin was perfectly equipped, the location and amenities were outstanding,, and communication was exceptional.

Great trip
Our family had a great time at Birch Brae. The long sandy beach was perfect for our 1, 3, and 4 year olds. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing both around the lake and through the nearby river. The big table and kitchen provided plenty of space for us to gather for large family meals. The fire pit area was really comfortable - out of the way of the wind and the stone bottom kept the bugs at bay. We’d love to come back!

Birch Brae was a phenomenal cabin that welcomed us with open arms! Keith was an exceptional host and was very communicative and easy to work with. Him and his brother kept the property in excellent condition and had everything there for us to enjoy the weekend and ensure a smooth stay. The cabin is great for a long weekend and a wonderful place to make memories! We made many and will cherish them for years to come! Thank you!!

House was perfect for large group. Easy trail access. Driveway a little tight for multiple large trailers, but we made it work.

This is a beautiful home that is great for a large group. The open floor plan allowed for everyone to be together and able to move around. The kitchen is huge, well stocked, and was perfect for our large group to make meals each day. We enjoyed the dining tables for enjoying meals together as well as putting puzzles together while overlooking the beautiful views of the lake. We kept a fire burning to keep the chill out of the air and to maintain the cozy feeling. Each family enjoyed their space to sleep as well as plenty of bathrooms for privacy. The two washers and two dryers were a great bonus as well as the ability to use the garage and additional refrigerator. The microwave stopped working during our stay and after a quick message to the property manager he had one on order and it was delivered within a few days.
This home was perfect for our snowmobile group/family as the trails were very close, we were able to leave directly from the house to access them.

We LOVED our stay at Birch Brae. My dog learned he loved the water. The little ones made tons of s'mores and the adults kicked back and enjoyed the view. ZERO issues at all. Just a fantastic stress free time :)
