We really enjoyed our stay! Great location and beautiful view! We even saw whales from the backyard on our last evening! The property is within walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to fun activities. One caution: if you have someone taller than 6’2” (187 cm) be careful as this is an older house and I don’t think they made doorways and staircases with taller people in mind 😉

We lucked out in finding this little gem near the ocean in Bonavista. The home was so quaint and beautifully appointed, with everything we could imagine we'd need, right down to a complimentary bottle of wine and locally made soaps! Luke stopped in to make sure we were comfortable and gave us some suggestions for shopping and dining. In warmer weather, the home is within walking distance to a few shops and restaurants, but unfortunately the weather was a bit wild. We would come back just to stay in this home again!

This was our second trip to Bonavista and staying at this house. Luke and Mark are such wonderful hosts and consider every last detail. The house was immaculately clean and the fridge already stocked with condiments, coffee and tea provided. A small grocery store is just down the road as well. BBQ for your use. Luke stopped by on the first day to make sure we had everything we needed and gave some suggestions for local restaurants. We will definitely be back again!!! Remember to pack something warm as the nights are cool and the wind a bit chilly coming off the water as you sit by the ocean edge in the red Adirondack chairs 😊

Rendell House is a lovely two bedroom home,right on the water. Beautifully decorated and well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Luke was very responsive and helpful before our arrival and stopped by after our arrival to check that we had all we needed. Thank you for the welcome gift. The house is located in town, so close to restaurants, museums and shopping. Recommend shopping for groceries at Swyers. Lots to do and see in this area, Luke has made a great welcome info package.

Luke is such a perfect host. He is so responsive and helpful, and the cottage is spotless and comfortable. He lives nearby and came over shortly after we arrive to answer all of our questions and greet us. We stayed here last in 2019 and could not return until now due to COVID restrictions. We were so happy to return. The cottage is in a residential neighborhood and we became friends with several neighbors at our last stay. So wonderful to see them again! Amazing whale spotting in the backyard bay and offshore from the Bonavista Lighhouse and Spillar Cove. The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets too. We enjoyed a day trip to Skerwink Trail, Trinity and Port Rexton. I slept so soundly during my visit-it is a truly a peaceful getaway. We cooked most nights in the spacious kitchen and were grateful to have the washing machine and dryer. First visit, we stayed for two nights, this visit for four. Next time we will stay longer.... Thank you Luke. Wonderful to see you again! Missing my whales now that we are home.

Wonderful stay, the property is right on the ocean, we even had whales swim by. The host were fantastic and have everything you need in the house and are also very willing to help in any way the can. Definitely a great place to stay if visiting Bonavista.

We stayed for three nights at Rendall house and it has been redone to a high quality. It was very clean and communication with Luke was very prompt. It was outfitted with everything you would possibly need for your stay. The location right on the ocean was great and the sunsets were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else. The bottle of wine and chocolates were a nice treat. Thank you Luke and Mark

A warm and welcome experience from booking to checking out! As soon as our reservation was accepted, the owner immediately reached out and welcomed us with information about directions on getting there as well as detailed information about the home. Any questions we had were answered promptly and we were made to feel all our inquiries were welcomed. The home was clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. On our arrival, after getting situated, the owner personally checked on us to ensure that the home met our expectations. In addition, the home’s view on the bay was breathtaking and the Adirondack chairs and fire pit allowed us to take in the view every day, making our stay even more special. We would highly recommend a stay at the Rendall House!

Our stay at Rendall House was fantastic! The location/attention to detail and care that Luke and Mark have put into the accommodations was extraordinary. Communication with us, and suggestions for places not to miss were appreciated. Next time we will book at least a week there!

Our second stay at Luke and Mark's house was as perfect as the first one - perfect location right in front of the sea in a quiet and lovely spot, from which we saw whales on multiple occasions, charming house, superbly decorated and equipped. The host was helpful in every way possible: among other things, when we lost our car rental reservation, he offered multiple solutions that proved successful. He really did not have to bother to help us since everything was prepaid and past the refund period. It is proof that he genuinely cares about his guests' happiness. He is clearly not in only for the money! Expectations largely exceeded. Do not hesitate to rent!

The home was very upscale - Beautiful dishes, tasteful art, modern comfortable furniture and bedrooms furnished like home (closets, dressers, bedside tables). The home was well stocked with everyday items for our convenience so we didn’t need to buy it. The hosts obviously care about the comfort of their guests. Thanks for the wine and chocolates!! This cozy house right by the sea in Bonavista is absolutely charming. When we walked in, we immediately felt at home. The house was perfectly clean, very well-equipped, and the owner has left us welcoming presents with a very nice welcome card. The beds are very comfortable. The property is perfectly located, close to the Bonavista port and attractions, to the Bonavista lighthouse, and close to commodities all well. The neighbourhood is charming and quiet. I would recommend this property to everybody!

Relax in your lawn chair as you have an unobstructed view of the ocean from your back garden and you can watching the fishing boats as they pass by and watch the beautiful sunsets. The home has everything you can possible need for your stay and the owners are so helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends.

This house is an absolutely flawless place to relax and enjoy the town of Bonavista. It is perched on a big Oceanside lot where the backyard overlooks the bay to the west. The only things obstructing your view of the sunsets are clothes drying on the line and the spray of whales spouting. And if you get bored with natural beauty, you are just a 10 minute walk along the seaside into the bustling and vibrant town center. The house itself is lacking in nothing, and is comfortably and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had no complaints at all.

Beautiful home out near the ocean. Was the exact remote get away we were looking for. Host checked in on us and catered to our needs and request. Great experience.

Everything was spectacular about this home. All the amenities you would need, fresh clean and modern decor. We loved the location, even saw a humpback whale yesterday. The owner Luke met us the day of our arrival and shared suggestions. There were many attractions close by and we enjoyed a yummy meal at the Boreal restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely a gem!

The location of the Rendall house is fantastic with views of a rock outcrop, coastal action and a great firepit. The house is beautifully appointed with more than you would ever need. Our host was super accommodating and hospitable. We will definitely return.
