Prescott was great! Stylish and funky and full of character. Outdoor spaces are fantastic, we got to see a nearly full moon rise over the hill outside the back of the property. The pool was a relief and large enough for a normal size husband and wife and our giant 6’2 son!

Very comfortable house with everything we needed. The patio/pool/view is what really makes this place great. We stayed during the July 4th long weekend heat wave, but still with the shaded patio and pool we were outside much of the day and evening. The house is right up against the dramatic, rocky hills and they are teeming with wildlife. You can hook up to a cool hiking/nature trail out the back gate. And the neighborhood is super quiet. Overall, a very relaxing and restful stay.

We loved our stay! We are family of 3 = me (mother) and my husband and 9 year old daugher who was learning how to swim. The pool was shallow so it was perfect for her. This property was beautiful in all ways! The backyard is HUGE. We enjoyed the hike from the back door. The cactus garden is well maintained, and we saw rabbits visiting quite often. The best part was the ower who was so kind to offer us the place in such a short notice. We originally booked a different house but the house was contaminated with mouses... We were desparate to find another place to stay. We contacted the ower through Vrbo since the website does not allow to book it on the same day and we got a response in less than 5 mins. The ower was enjoying his vacation in the property but offered us the place right away. We are so grateful to his kindness and hospitality. Joshua Tree is a magical place. We'd definitely like to come back!
Thank you so much!!

My daughter and I enjoyed our time at this wonderful house. It is tastefully decorated, updated and has everything you need for a great time inside and outside of the property, in town and in the park. Lovely, quiet neighborhood.

The location of this home is perfect. We could walk out of the back gate to get to a short (two-mile) trail that is lovely for a morning walk. We were only about a ten-minute drive to the trailheads at Joshua Tree where we spent two great days hiking.
It was the home that disappointed us. The condition and cleanliness made our time there difficult. Given we were only there a few days, we just made the best of it.
The hot tub in the backyard is in a great place in the yard. We used that after the sunset and the sky was beautiful. You also back up to such a great view. Easy check-in/check-out process and when we messaged the owner, they were so quick to respond.

The location to Joshua Tree was great. We were able to go to the park every day of our stay. The Christmas decor was a nice touch. It was really nice to soak in the hot tub every night after hiking every day.

This house has everything you need if exploring Joshua Tree and surrounding areas. Very close to the park - in fact you can walk out the back gate if you want. We enjoyed a fire one night and the hot tub every night enjoying the stars above.

Eclectic mid century modern decor with everything you need! Small pool ticked the box for two middle school friends catching up. The outdoor patio space is divine. Short drive for groceries. Hiking literally out the back gate. All communications with owner superb. Would go back!!!!

We really enjoyed our time - the house was clean & well-maintained, and the location couldn’t be better!

This house was a wonderful place to return to after a day of hiking-there was even hiking right out the back door! Our proximity to the west entrance of Joshua Tree was really a plus. The house was clean and had everything we needed-even a hot tub out back to unwind and catch the starry night sky. The owner was a gem to communicate with-she answered our questions very quickly and it was clear she wanted our stay to be enjoyable for us.

Got a great tan, did some hot tubbing, enjoyed the views. Stunning all around.

This property is best suited for a max of 2 couples since there are only two queen beds. The furniture could use some updating. The TV room only accommodates two people at a time. The living room is spacious, but lacks a coffee table and the two sofas are at lease ten feet apart. The spacious back yard has a large sheltered area to stay out of the sun, but could use a table for outdoor dining. The small pool is fun to cool off on a hot day. Some cousins next to the pool would help. It's on a paved road so that's a big plus. Many rentals out there are on difficult dirt roads.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Joshua Tree. With the backyard right next to nature and a wide horizon view, the location of this house is excellent.
The house is spacious and has everything you need, yet it is a bit old.
We didn’t use the little pool or the hot tub

House was exactly as described, pool is small but nice. Jacuzzi works well although did cool down after an hour or 2 of being in it at night. All appliances work. Backyard is large with plenty of cactuses and great views. Overall very nice house and hostess nice as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The best part was being able to hike out the back door into the open space. We also enjoyed the hot tub very much. The architecture of house also an interesting plus.

We were excited to get to this house but when we arrived we found it to be in rough condition. Dirt and grime throughout the house with baseboards falling off walls. The outer yard was overgrown, and had not been maintained. Furniture was older and in poor condition, and the pool was dirty. The pictures are not really what the actual house was like. Very disappointing especially given the rate they are charging.
We chose to cancel our reservation and stay at a nearby Best Western and regardless the owner refused to refund any of the pre-paid nights.

Lovely property and beautiful home and space. Very comfortable. Some minor issues but nothing serious to prevent us from enjoying our time. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (10 & 12) and we had plenty of space. Kitchen was well laid out and all worked well. The pool and hot tub were very nice and worked well.

Overall very satisfied. The house had everything we were looking for, and more. What a great Thanksgiving experience.

Property was great and the owners are extremely accommodating. Would rent again and again.

The home is advertised as a three bedroom. Before we checked in Kenneth told us that the third bedroom was "under construction" and it was too late to cancel, but they would leave an air mattress in the living room. When we arrived we found the air mattress but there was no cap to keep the air in, which lead to an hour drive to buy a new air mattress and sheets. The have not responded to our attempt to contact and they are holding our security deposit.
BEWARE and AVOID.

The property was as described and we thoroughly enjoyed it - especially sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars. Enjoyed some nice hikes in the area.

Overall a nice house and location for the weekend, but not as cozy or fully-furnished as a luxury rental or home.
+ house true to photos
+ clean linens, towels
+ close driving distance to local restaurants, market
+ wonderful backyard views of mountain and stars at night
+ easy access to trails through backyard
+ easy to communicate with owner
+ hot tub heated up ~6hrs
+ house heated up quickly with thermostat and fireplace going
+ wifi / tv / fireplace worked as expected
- BYO toiletries
- no washer / dryer
- didn't have hot water in either shower (only there 2 days)
- didn't have access to 3rd bedroom; after booking found out only open for parties of 6 or more
- no access to garage
We had a third person join last minute, and only then found out the third bedroom was closed off for remodeling. The owner was very nice and understanding, but since the booking listed 3bedrooms, I would expect access and use of all bedrooms.
Would recommend staying here, but remember to bring toiletries, firewood, and possibly extra blankets / sleeping bag if you run cold at night.

Cool home - the location is amazing! Lots of amenities make this a great place to stay. Check out the stars from the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay in Joshua Tree.

If you're looking for a quiet, convenient place to stay in Joshua Tree, this place is great! There's a private jacuzzi, coal fired pizza oven, and the best part is that you can walk out the back gate straight to hiking trails in Joshua Tree.

This is a large, lovely home in a nice area of Joshua Tree/Yucca, very close to the National Park, a short drive to Pioneertown, and just minutes from local restaurants. There is a very large back area, with a small pool, a hot tub and several lounge chairs, which backs up onto the national park. It's a very well situated home. The hot tub was wonderful, but took 2 1/2 days to heat up, not the 12 hours indicated by the owners.
The kitchen is well stocked with essentials, and the bedrooms are large and clean. Guests should note that the 3rd bedroom is on a downstairs level, and only accessible by a separate outside door. It has its own bathroom, and is good for older children or a couple. However, the property lacks several basic amenities which one should find at the premium price we paid. No washer or dryer, which is quite inconvenient if you are daily hikers/climbers, as we were. The fireplace is great, but it would have been nice for the hosts to supply the first wood bundle, which we have experienced at other winter house rentals. There was a starter log, but no kindling/pinecones or even matches to start the fire with!! At the very least, supply matches or an ignition starter, otherwise it seems as if you don't really want people to have a fire, if there is nothing to start it with. There is also no shower soap, which guests really have a right to expect. Toilet paper and paper towels were plentiful, however, as were clean towels.
On our last day there, the toilet in the hallway bathroom overflowed, which was a real mess. We let the owners know and hope it will be corrected.
The rental states it has satellite/cable, but it's minimal. I got maybe 15 stations, only the major networks and few local stations. No CNN, no ESPN or Fox, and certainly no HBO, Showtime or Netflix. No DVD player, which was disappointing, as we had brought several DVDs to enjoy, and NO instructions for operating the cable TV. Also, there' is no ipod or iphone dock to plug into so we can enjoy music while reading or relaxing. No books or games at all. Also, printed material on local restaurants, businesses and activities would have been very useful, and really is essential for renters.
All in all, a lovely spot, but lacking in essentials that would have made the stay much better.

We had a fantastic stay here. Very quiet and tranquil with a huge yard out back! The pool is more of an extra large hot tub (but cold) with seats for lounging. It was great to hang out in during the warm days!
There's also a huge rocky mountain behind the house that we ended up climbing for beautiful scenic views!
Thanks again ! :) x

This house is so cool. A period Jem situated right on the edge of town. The house is palacial. The garden out back is magnificent. It's easy to find, just a 2 minute drive from the best restaurants and shops in town. It was our first time to J tree and the house was perfect. So convenient, quiet, private, spacious, and safe. Awesome fireplace, awesome decor.. but the best bit is the seemingly private mountain right out the back door. Perfect for moonlit hikes and daytime rambling. Truly a little magic mountain right outside. We were the very first air bnb guests and we feel blessed to have found it. The property owners were a delight to deal with and our stay could not have gone smoother. All thumbs up from us!

Awesome experience staying at the Joshua Tree Villa. Its like entering a different time and space as it reminds me of Palm Springs yet right here with Joshua Tree at the back door. The place was very clean, with new marble entrance way floors and real wood floors in the living room Plenty of clean towels, and clean dishes and kitchen. We made a pizza in the outdoor wood pizza oven and watched the stars come up as night took over day. Definitely want to go back.
