What a delightful cottage. Extremely cozy, tidy and well stocked. My husband booked this as a surprise so the host and cottage information must have been very well presented for him to be happy to book. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Have recommended you to a few friends already!

My expectations of the accommodation were exceeded. It has everything and more that you could possibly need to enjoy a relaxing stay. Even more surprised to see a fresh loaf of bread in the kitchen on arrival with Adelaide jam. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a coffee machine. The bed was comfortable and the property overall was spacious and tidy. Made to feel right at home. The only con was that the bath did not have running water. I was looking forward to having a bath during my stay and was disappointed when I went to run a bath and not a drop came out. I noticed many reviews mention this issue so assume there’s been a problem for a while.

We had the most Magnificant stay. The extra touches were perfect. We loved everything about this stay and would happily come back.

Property was nice. Didn't hear from host until close to check in. Spa bath tap didnt work, tried to contact host but didnt get a reply.

Spa does not work! Place looks better than the pictures but received no check in instructions and had to contact stayz so I could contact host hours before my check in. Apart from those few things it’s an absolute beautiful place and I would go back

It’s our third stay so we obviously enjoy it & we knew what to expect. Unfortunately the spa wasn’t working so I text the property manager & still haven’t received a reply. That was pretty disappointing

Stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. Villa Java was wonderful, cosy, warm and well appointed, the bath was awesome! Also, would have to be the best shower ever! Thanks, Becky! You made our stay very special!

Villa Java exceeded our expectations. It is a spacious, luxurious space with beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The king sized bed, fireplaces and spa bath are wonderful. As our babysitting option fell through at the last minute, we needed to bring our 2 and 5 year old daughters. Becky was flexible and easy going about this change. There was enough space for our family to fit comfortably and the girls loved “swimming” in the massive tub. We definitely intend to return!

This villa is so lovely, open fire and bath, location is peaceful and quiet it definitely exceeded our expectations.

Really lovely heritage home in great location. Access to creek walk from back deck would be good & for dogs to access back yard. Overall, very lovely.

Well appointed and very convenient. Has all the amenities you would need including hairdryer, curling iron, etc. Modern kitchen and bathroom. The most comfortable bed and quite spacious. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place is as stunning as it looks . The spa bath is very lush, as was the fire place . it’s a beautifully laid out place, with lots of little extra’s .Yet sadly my stay wasn't very pleasant . I wanted rest and peace and quiet ..unfortunately I experienced alot of intrusive industrial noise . I recommend Villa Java , only as a weekender, rather than a longer stay , until the very nearby neighbours have finished their renovations . It was extremely noisy in the week, whilst I stayed and there was not a lot of privacy , with trades people coming and going daily . The accommodation is in a shared small cul de sac and has a shared backyard, currently undergoing landscaping .. I had a very uncomfortable experience with one of the trades people and issues of privacy . . My stay was also hampered by very slow communication both from Vrbo and the owner . Becky is lovely when you meet her , and I really appreciated that some things were beyond her control , but responses to messages were very slow , including check in details and about fire wood . There was no advance warning about very poor lighting due to electrical issues . Pre warning could have allowed me to better prepare .

Villa Java is one of the most amazing places we've ever had the good fortune of staying at. Close enough to Adelaide for a weekend getaway or longer (which would be ideal). Everything has been thought of and it feels like a home away from home. The bath is definitely a wow factor and so luxurious and relaxing as well as two fireplaces wirh plenty of firewood supplied which are just lovely. So close to High Street and the centre of Strathalbyn with various pubs within easy walking distance as well as other places to eat/takeaway or you can utilise the great kitchen to cook yourself. We can't speak highly enough of the amazing experience we had and the only complaint we had is that we had to leave! We were already planning our next stay before we left, can't wait to stay again!
