to many stairs to carry suitcases up and also just going to and from the apartment. oven and washing machine did not work and we were only provided with 1 key between 5 of us.

We only liked the view from the balcony. It was basic inside, nothing fancy.

Dont bother with this place or the company. Daily charge for air conditioning is crazy. Tourist tax amount not communicated at booking. Bedrooms were dusty, showers were not clean, and showers do not drain well, so there was always a pool of murky water at the bottom. No laundry detergent, so we couldn’t use the washing machine. We found hair in the shower (before we used it). We reached out to Marco, our host via text. Marco said, “I call immediately the housekeeper” and asked what time we will leave the house and return, but no one ever came to clean. We stayed in a an unclean apartment. It was not worth the money spent. Do not waste your money!

We arrived after a long morning of travel, and given this apartment’s location, it would have been welcoming to have some cold water (even from the tap and put in the fridge) as it was extremely hot and it is a hard walk to the apartment from the ferry! It’s also quite a distance from the town and the closest supermarket, so I would recommend the host might like to offer a welcome pack of food/drinks (charging the cost of the items and a supply fee) to make it easier for the first day there. (we were well aware of the location of this place, but even carrying up shopping is not an easy task) The rooms were a great size, but the house is very worn and quite run down. The host asks us to treat the place like a father, respecting the property… but the host could take more pride in this house and repair/replace some parts of it. The tiles are lifting, and the kitchen is very old and the house could use a very good clean as we found random things in cupboards and dirt/dust everywhere. If you book this place, make sure the gas lighter that is left for you to use the stove is not empty… it makes for a bleak breakfast, and although the host dropped us a new one, we were made to feel that it was an inconvenience. This apartment has so much potential, the location is fantastic, but it needs a lot of work!

The host was very accomodating and the view from her balcony is amazing. If you don’t need to leave the apartment then don’t - Amalfi is right at your door.

if you are mobility impaired this won’t work for you. It’s a 10 -15 walk straight uphill, mostly stairs. The reward is an in incomparable view.

Wrong address on booking.com website, and online help was uselessly wrong.
