Beautiful homestead, with Lily ( the cutest dog ever) greeting you along with the owner. Everything was wonderful and I’m not sure what I loved more… the property or Lily!! I think it’s Lily!! 😊

This property was all we had hoped it would be. Secluded from the fast pace of everyday life. Upon meeting the owner he was to the point about explaining how all the amenities worked and then left us be to ourselves which is something we were leary of with an on-site owner but was not the case,we werent bothered at all. The place is very well taken care of with lots of wildlife around. We were very happy with our choice.

The property is wonderful. Clean and tidy, both inside and out. Inside you have every convenience you need. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, satellite TV, and a nice kitchen.The outside is 10 acres with a pretty view and only the owners for neighbors! The owners are friendly and can be found daily doing chores or working in the garden. If asked they'll happily offer suggestions for places to eat, or areas of interest for sightseeing. If your an early riser like me, you'll enjoy sitting outside, sipping coffee and watching the sun rise over the hills. Literally picture perfect. Much better than any hotel or being surrounded by block after block of cookie cutter rental houses! And no mosquitoes!

Yes its small an quiet but its not all that private. While it is nice nothing about the listing said it was a loft on the owners property. We were a little discouraged about that unfortunately.

My mother and I absolutely loved our time here! Spearfish, Lead, and Deadwood are within close proximity, and while Devil's Tower is further away, it is an easy, beautiful drive via SD 34/WY 24. The large bathroom provides easy access to laundry machines. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking and eating equipment. All accommodations are very clean, and the property is gorgeous! The owners are delightful and very knowledgeable about the area. Their horses, dog, and chickens are wonderful, too! We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Beautiful area perfectly situated in the mountains, but minutes away from restaurants and hiking trails. I brought my dog and we enjoyed waking up and hiking to the peak of several hills in the area to watch the sunrise, then jumping on the Mickelson or Homestake trails in the afternoons. Property owners are very kind and accomodating, apartment is cozy, clean, and has everything you need for a 1-night or 1-month stay.

Was a cool loft up above the garage with a cabin like feel to it.

Paul’s place had everything you’d ever need. The space was clean and cozy. It was in a great location, close to attractions yet far away from any noise. We will definitely be coming back!

This place was really cozy and accommodating. Super close to Deadwood. It added so much to the Deadwood experience. Wildlife right when we walked out side in the mornings. Hosts were so friendly! Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and absolutely LOVED this place! It's so quiet and cozy and the wildlife was fantastic! We arrived and immediately saw the yard full of wild bighorn sheep, which was surprising and very cool! The chickens and little friendly dog were a plus as well! Paul met us right away and showed us around the property, which was beautiful. The apartment is super cozy and very, very clean. He also had all of the necessary things to cook our own meals and completely make ourselves at home. The hot tub and sauna were awesome amenities that we enjoyed as well. The location is very close and convenient to get to Deadwood and all the activities the area has to offer and yet is very secluded and quiet. We will definitely be back!

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The scenery was magnificent. The wildlife was random, and the hosts were spectacular. Very clean, and we loved the private access, and the location was very close to town, which made it a wonderful place to stay. And a Big Horn Sheep walking up behind us like we didn’t even exist made my heart jump. Just a great weekend overall.

A gem! So close to town and all the activities yet up on a hill, secluded and peaceful. The unit was perfect for 2 but could fit 5 for bedding, fully equipped and very comfortable. The property is so special, you won’t want to leave! And Paul is the perfect host, allows all the privacy you want but so warm and welcoming.

Paul’s property is a great way to get away and relax. Relax in the hot tub, relax in the sauna, relax by the fire pit or relax with a book looking at the beautiful Black Hills. We enjoyed the animals and hobby farm activities, too!!

The property was beautifully kept, the hosts were friendly and helpful. The place was better than described. Just enough out of Deadwood to be away from heavy traffic and close to so many other attractions.

We had a lovely visit and it was a perfect place for our family to stay while we visited the black hills for a few days. Hosts were wonderful and the ground were gorgeous and comfortable.

Cool Place!

It was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again. Nice and comfy and the property managers are very kind and friendly. I’d say the only thing is make sure to call before hand if you don’t get check in directions to give a heads up of your expected arrival.

This was simply the best experience I have ever had staying at a Vrbo (or the alternative). The location was perfect and so beautiful! Paul and Joanne are delightful hosts, and they thought of everything we could possibly need.

My wife and I spent a weekend in December there. Perfect warm and cozy place right outside Deadwood. Hot tub and sauna were great! Warm garage to park our vehicle in. Would definitely stay there again!!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by hosts! Opened their garage for us to park in, gave us a tour of the place, how to run the sauna, and hot tub! It was the perfect little vacation studio cabin for our family! Highly recommend! My husband and I were very pleased with our Christmas weekend vacation here and already talked about coming back!

Our stay was quiet and clean. Great place to relax after a long day traveling & sight seeing. The outdoor hot tub was great! We loved relaxing in it every evening. We even were able to watch a deer family one night wandering while we were in the hot tub! We were able to relax & enjoy the beautiful scenery!! Would recommend!

Location was great! Close to Deadwood but was very secluded and private. Quarters very nicely appointed, has washer and dryer, and kitchen has everything you need!
