Just what we needed for an overnight stay with early appointments at the Mayo

Tucked away in a wooded area south of Egg Harbor, a great jumping off point to explore the Door Peninsula. The house fit our group comfortably (including a table that seats 8) We were only there for 2 nights and would have gladly stayed longer, needed more time to walk the grounds and to enjoy coffee in the gardens outside of the beautiful Art Gallery. A gem in the woods!

We enjoyed to cottage and it was closer to Egg Harbor than we first expected. LOVE the shop that is right on location! Couch leaves a lot to be desired, as it is very uncomfortable. Fireplace is too noisy to use, wifi is not strong. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels for our stay. Wish lamps in one bedroom had been plugged in, would have required crawling under bed to do so ourselves so we left a note about this and fireplace in hopes they can resolve for next guests.

This place was perfect for us ladies! We had friends staying in a nearby town and this location was great for gathering and catching up between dinners and activities around Door County.
The listing was 100% accurate and had very easy check out procedures. A few of the guests got to chat with one of the ladies from the gallery when we arrived and said she was really sweet and welcoming. We also received a great email with lots of different things to do in the area.
The beds were very comfortable, we had plenty of seating and the place was very clean. My only recommendation is maybe a full length mirror somewhere and mirrors in all bedrooms- might help 8 people (especially ladies) get ready and out the door a little quicker vs everyone waiting for a bathroom mirror. Wonderful place!

This was our third time staying here at the Plum Bottom Cabin. We loved it! We will definitely be back next year! One of our group has more trouble getting around so pulling up to the back door and the 1st floor bedroom are a plus! Thanks for everything!

I stayed here along with my husband, our daughter (nearly 2 y/o) along with my parents and another couple. The home was absolutely perfect for us. This was our first visit to Door County, and hopefully not our last. The home was beautiful and very comfortable for 6 adults and a child. The beds were much more comfortable than any hotel we’ve stayed in and the overall comfort of the home was exceptional. We ate many meals at the house (it can be challenging to eat out with a toddler) and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prep. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and used the charcoal grill as well. My daughter loved the little kitchen table/chairs, and we even noticed there was a pack n play in the closet (although we brought our own). I would not hesitate to book this property again!

Every feature of the rental was well thought out, it had adorable decor, cozy beds, and was a quiet getaway to celebrate my 30th birthday weekend. Literally couldn't have asked for a better place! Chad was also super accommodating and even helped my boyfriend pull off surprise visitors (my parents) for my birthday. He took care of the extra charges in a separate transaction without me ever knowing! Thanks a bunch for sharing the cabin with us!

It's perfectly located for day trips anywhere on the peninsula, and it has almost* all the amenities of home. (*We found the kitchen has only one small frying pan and no griddle pan for pancakes/french toast, but we managed Saturday breakfast for six by cooking in shifts.) On Sunday we just stopped at the Door County Coffee & Tea Company in Carlsville for a great breakfast and some last-minute shopping too :) Even in the off-season there are many fun shops, restaurants and wineries open on the weekends and this cabin is the perfect home base for visiting all of them!

Clean, comfortable, inviting, and well appointed
This spacious cabin is just off the normal route in door county - it's well taken care of with a beautiful, clean interior and very comfortable furniture. When you get to the cabin it feels very private - surrounded by woods - quiet getaway.
The owners are responsive and kind - and the gallery is worth a look any time you stay here.

Usually over time, visitors have left things like spices and a variety of things, but this kitchen was immaculate which had its up and downsides.
The owners were welcoming and kind. Our kids loved the strobe light machine! The water must be on Sturgeon Bay's system because it sure wasn't well water....sweet! The grounds were lovely. It was good to explore the southern part of the peninsula, but we gravitated back to Ephraim Beach and Wilson's as always. Thanks Chad and Anne. We had a great week.

Anne was responsive to our needs. Despite instructions the upstairs shower was tricky to turn on! In front Chad has his working space and displays his/ others pottery and art work. 5 of us spent almost a week plus entertained more with a Mexican cook out. Great base to explore the quaint towns and nature trails/ views.

We booked the "cabin" at Plum Bottom for the last week of June and by the end of our first full day I knew this place was one I will return to again and again. I have enjoyed many retreats to Door County over the years and stayed at a variety of properties, including lodges, cabins, B&B's and rented condo's. I've camped at Peninsula several times as well. Plum Bottom exceeds them all!! It provided the perfect home base for me and my family. I could rave endlessly about the comfortable, nicely appointed and relaxing accommodations, the marvelous location and the wonderful owner/hosts/staff - suffice it to say that staying at Plum Bottom is an opportunity that is too good to miss.

Girls weekend
I rented the Cabin @ Plum Bottom for Memorial Day weekend. It was a Mothers Day gift for my mom, mom in law, and my sister. The cabin is spacious and very comfortable. All of us slept great and said how comfortable the beds were. We all wished we could have stayed longer. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you might need to make all meals. It is close to a lot of great restaurants though too. The location is perfect, a little secluded and away for all the hustle and bustle, but still just a short drive away from all the major Door County towns. I will definitely rent this home again!

Wonderful property!
We visited the cabin at Plum Bottom the weekend of February 5-7th. What a great stay we had. It was a beautiful and well maintained. Loved the option of the three bedrooms. It had everything we needed and would definitly go again. Thanks for everything!

Spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully designed cabin
Two friends and I spent two nights at the Cabin, making it our "base camp" while taking in some of the stunning scenic beauty of the Door Peninsula (Wequiock Falls, Olde Stone Quarry, Cave Point, Potawatomi, Ellison Bluff, driving along the shores . . . ). Got some gorgeous photos! It was a restful, comfortable time for us. Each had her own bedroom, and the two bathrooms were a very nice "perk" as well. The kitchen was spacious, well equipped and supplied, and attractively styled. The living room was perfect for our evenings spent reading and doing needlework. The lighting was plenty bright for detailed work and the furniture quite comfortable. My bed (upstairs) was most conducive to good sleeping.
I enjoyed the grounds very much. The buildings and landscaping were all quite pleasing to the eye. Paths were mowed through the fields and into the woods, providing plenty space for walking or jogging and seeing new views. Away from the lights the stars were brilliant.
It was so pleasant being in a country setting, away from traffic noise and many close buildings. I completely enjoyed this adventure.

We had a wonderful stay at Plum Bottom. The place is very cute, clean, and spacious. Chad and his wife were very accommodating. We would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Simply Beautiful...
The Cabin @ Plum Bottom was incredible. We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children and my elderly parents, while in town for a family wedding. Beautiful, quiet, setting nestled in the woods behind the gallery were spectacular. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Fully equipped kitchen, ample towels, firewood, cozy bedding and blankets...and if we forgot or needed anything, Chad and Ann were ready to help! A lower level bedroom and connected bath with walk in shower made my 90 year-old parents, with mobility issues, feel very comfortable. The kids LOVED their room with a king and full size bed and a TV and DVD player. Ann and Chad were very welcoming and helpful. Can't say enough about this amazing, hidden, gem!

Wonderful cabin on a beautiful property
My wife and I enjoy renting vacation homes when possible as opposed to a hotel because it's easier with our 1 year old daughter and we enjoy the additional space. The cabin was perfect for us, away from the crowns in a remote , wooded setting. The cabin was exceptionally furnished, brand new and had plenty of private space in the back yard and wooded trails. We really enjoyed staying here with its privacy and in a central location of Door County close enough to anywhere you would want to visit.

Beautiful Oasis
We had the pleasure of staying at the Cabin for 5 nights. I think "cabin" doesn't do it justice. Honestly the nicest place we have stayed in Door County. Newly renovated ,beautifully decorated, and comfortably furnished it exceeded expectations. As a family of 5, plenty of room to spread out. Quiet country setting on lovely property, with a friendly owner. It was nice to be away from the crowds at this beautiful property.

Weekend Getaway
My wife and I had a beautiful long weekend in Door County this past weekend. We were fortunate to find the Cabin at Plum Bottom on a very busy weekend. The owner couldn't have been nicer and more helpful-always an added bonus. We found the property to be as beautiful and serene as shown in the photos. We tend to like being away from the crowds and loved the quiet surroundings- so this property hit the mark perfectly. We felt like we owned the whole property to ourselves. The new bungalow/cabin was tucked at the end of a nice long gravel drive next to some mature forest. The build quality was excellent and the amenities were all top notch. It would be ideal for a large family or three couples easily. Two full baths and three nicely sized bedrooms makes for great comfort. We found the location ideal for Egg Harbor and most of the Door County activities- the perfect place to come home to after an enjoyable day in Door County. We plan to come back soon!

Serene Surroundings
Our stay at the Cabin was perfect. The newly designed get away has everything you want & need for a carefree vacation. The Cabin is well equipped and is beautifully decorated. The grounds have the feel of a park-like setting. Chad and his family are very accommodating and responsive to any needs. If you are looking for an excellent place to rest, relax and enjoy some family time, this is it.
